I believe our suite at Paradise Resort, room 708 was the best beach hotel room we have ever stayed in in Myrtle. Normally I have low expectations for Myrtle hotel rooms. It's at the beach with high volume, younger guests that probably make room upkeep hard to do. Our room was spacious, clean, had a washer and dryer, kitchenette and a great view. The down side was no room service, a icky looking restaurant and a terrible parking garage. Parking was an extreme sport, tight spaces and bling corners. We will be making this place our go to hotel for Myrtle Beach. read more

Ok. Let's be real guys ......this is a 3 star hotel...ok. therefore, expectations should be that of a 3 star hotel. Room is "updated" and relatively clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok for a 3 star rated. Pool and other facilities is again ok for 3 star rated. The beach access is the best feature. Clientele, is off course are those budget friendly and you won't spot any bankers or managements personnel here. However, the biggest issue here which drives the rating is security, it's seems anyone from the street can just enter the hotel and go to any floors. Additionally this neighborhood is not the best. For that, I think should be a serious consideration for anyone thinking of staying here and keeping it rated any higher. read more

This is a horrible place to stay. We stayed on the 18th floor. Let's start with the marijuana smell everywhere. Hallways, elevators, parking garage, and even staff members smoking while cleaning rooms. Is marijuana legal in South Carolina now!!!Security was nonexistent. I did not feel safe at that resort. We made sure we were back in by dark. There were no pans to cook with. And the little silverware that they had was rusted. We had to purchase our own skillets. Our first night, while hanging clothes, the closet ceiling fell through. The next morning, I go into the bathroom and part of the ceiling came down in the shower. Apparently there was a leak upstairs that never got fixed. So we had to stay there the whole time with a hole in the bathroom ceiling. They just slapped some plaster on our ceiling to be greedy, to get the unit rented. The appliances were old and rusty. The furniture was gross and filthy. Luckily I brought an extra sheet to cover the sofa so we could sit on it. You can't just slap some fresh paint on the walls and call it renovated! I was told that the units are privately owned. They just clean them. Lol. Well, the SLUMLORD OWNERS are doing a piss poor job!! Take my advice. Go somewhere else like North Myrtle Beach. The only thing good about this resort is the ocean view. read more

The place is pretty decent. It's right on the beach, it's close to so many restaurants and attractions. There's so much to do in this one area. Around this time of year there's plenty of parking in the parking garage. I haven't had to wait longer than ten seconds for an elevator. The staff is so kind and professional. They take safety seriously as well. Now onto the cons...... the breakfast is quite disappointing. The rooms could use MAJOR renovation. New appliances are needed! New furniture is NEEDED! We had to see it through. The views are immaculate! So we stayed..... today was the end all be all. ROACHES!! Awwww hell nawwwww! CANNOT! This was our first time staying here and we were in a 2 bedroom condo on the 2nd floor. Check in was fine and the staff were very nice. We got up to our room around 8pm and it was right over the pool and outdoor bar area which was pretty loud with music and people in the pool but it was only 8pm and I was worried that it would be loud all night but by 10pm it was fine. The room could have used more cleaning - there were candy wrappers still on the floor by the bed and the couch was worn and stained. The bathroom was pretty clean. We didn't use anything in the kitchen such as plates or glasses. We had some plastic ware that I knew was clean. The tv in the living room was streaming only which was not good for my 90 year old dad who just wanted to watch regular TV. So he had to stay in his room to watch the TV in there because the bedroom tvs were cable and not streaming. Also, the bedrooms are both against the hallway and if you're trying to sleep in, you'll be waking up to room doors opening and closing all morning. It would have been nice to have had a bedroom oceanfront and not on the hall. I mean the only window in each bedroom looks out into the hallway so of course the curtain is pulled shut all the time. The parking deck was full every day so we had to park in their overflow lot across the street which was OK. It had more room anyway. All in all, I've stayed in nicer Myrtle Beach resorts, but the view was wonderful and the beach access was easy to get to from the ground floor. read more

We had a nice stay at Paradise Resort. We found it when looking for a week long rental for a softball tournament. We considered vrbo options that were fancier, but decided to go with a better location and stay right on the beach for the same investment. We originally noticed PR on vrbo, but the floor plans were the same so I contacted them directly which was cheaper for the same stay. I did notice the decor and look was nicer with vrbo, but we did not plan to be in the room much and the size of the room was the same with either rental. When we arrived our room wasn't ready yet but we we're able to explore the pool area some. The outdoor Tiki Bar is great! Food is pretty delicious also! It was pretty packed the Sunday we checked in. I had asked for a lower level room because I don't love waiting on elevators and we liked the idea of the teenagers and ourselves not having as far to go to the pool and beach. We ended up in room #110 which was directly above the pool. At first I was not crazy about that idea because of the crowd at the pool, but it ended up being fine and a great spot for easy access to everything. The room itself was clean and looked just like the pics. It was dated and could use a spruce up, but like I said we chose to sacrifice nicer decor by not going with one of the vrbo options. I will say the only other thing that was lacking were the kitchen supplies. We had very minimal pots and pans, and no measuring cups, spoons etc. That put a cramp on our plans to cook more, but it was enough for breakfast, lunch and snacky items. I received a text from the resort everyday checking to see how our stay was going. Anytime I made a request, it was met. We had issues with our drier not working and they fixed it the day I notified them. They also cleaned the floors and brought towels whenever we asked. They more or less let the guest determine how often they clean the room. All in all we had a great vaca and felt like we got our money's worth by staying with Paradise Resort. Many years ago , my oldest Siblings and I tried to pull off a Myrtle Beach vacation. It was more flea bags motel and hotel on this block. Then quality ones. Since, that experience. I've tried avoided the whole block. A full 7 years. Here on an another Myrtle Beach vacation with my In laws. On the same street I avoided for years. I was pleasantly surprised!!! The resort was clean, fresh and updated. Our suite had quality kitchen appliances, pots, dishes , utensils , etc. Our mattress were from TRUMPS ' luxury line. The view was amazing. We had a lived performance from " It's a Twin THANGS". Nothing beats sitting on the balcony, listening to live music. The pool were clean daily. My nephews love the lazy river. This hotel was very clean and the staff extremely friendly. The beach is nice with plenty of sand even at high tide. There is no lifeguard at the pool, but there was always a staff member patrolling the pool area and keeping an eye on everything. We never had to wait for an elevator for more than a couple of seconds and we were on the fifteenth floor. On the down side, it is like many of the high rise hotels that are showing some age. The AC unit was old and located in a poor place because the back sticks out of the tiny balcony and it's loud and blows hot air. So unless you turn it off, it's not pleasant to be on the balcony, and we paid extra for an ocean view room. There is not an ice machine on every floor. I think they were on every fifth floor. One was broken and we had to go to multiple ones to get ice. (another was empty.) Overall, it's a decent hotel for the price. I think they are doing the best they can for the age and condition of it. I did get a good price through booking.com, but I will never use them again. We moved our dates to avoid a hurricane and were told by booking.com that there would be no change in price. Then they charged an additional amount and after numerous calls and filling out a form for them, they declined crediting the amount, blaming the hotel for declining the claim since the hotel said they did not issue the charge. This was true, the hotel had nothing to do with the booking.com charge made by booking.com. I had to dispute it through the credit card company and then booking.com finally issued the credit and apologized, but it was a huge hassle to get that refunded, especially since their response when they declined it was by a no-reply email address. So, beware of booking through them. I also was not able to change the dates through the hotel since they were booked through booking.com, which meant I had to go through booking.com to handle the changes. All a big hassle. To start, the resort is AMAZING. The resort itself is phenomenal. However, we booked through TURNKEY rentals so the resort doesn't control what happened with our room. Who we booked through left the room completely disgusting. Basic housekeeping was barley done. The bed that we pulled out was BROKEN. The springs were missing and I went straight though the bed! I could've gotten cut on a spring. We have had to BEG for basic necessities like toilet paper and towels and still have yet to get anything. Something as simple as toilet paper should be provided considering how much was charged for the room. We've been asking someone to come in and check out complaints for almost 14 hours now. They just Jeep trying to come into the room when we are not there. The blankets for the beds was GROSS. It looked like toothpaste or gum. Can't even wash the bedding. I had a couple of days to burn before a conference in Wilmington, so decided to hang out here for a couple of nights. This is a solid 3-star hotel, so not fancy, but it was fine. My room was spacious but it feels due for a bit of an upgrade. The fan in the bathroom was broken and the walls were so thin I could hear the family in the condo next door most of the night. Me and my bf came for a trip sept 12-18. Stayed on the 14th floor and have no complains what so ever. This resort is really nice on the inside. The room was clean appliances a bit dated but clean. Here is my issue first standing in the balcony I see a lot of what I thought were stray cats. Then went downstairs to sit outside I thought and there are at least 7 cats walking around. This morning I found out why this lady is feeding and pkaying with them. This property is amazing! Great friendly staff. We loved everything. We booked the One bedroom Oceanfront Deluxe King Suite. Loved the private balcony with a perfect view of the ocean. Had a great stay over the weekend. Impressed with the texting feature they have in place to keep in touch with guests. More impressed with how well I slept! The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I have chronic back pain and couldn't believe how well I slept and how much better my back felt in the morning. Definitely not a common experience at a hotel. Staff was super friendly. Left in the middle of the night!!!! When we got there my one year old started coughing and my fiancé had to take allergy medicine. We went out to eat right when we got there and back back and my son had fallen a sleep so we laid him on the couch and went on the balcony. 15 mins later we come inside and I go to the bedroom. I take the blanket off and sheets feel like sand went though all the extra and everything was dirty. Fiancé goes to check on the baby and finds a cockroach on the wall!!!! We started packing right then. But we decided to check some stuff so pulled out the dresser covered in mold. Go to the bathroom and calling another hotel because gross no! Find another cockroach!!!!! And when we arrived they charged me twice! Which the front desk kindly fixed. Rooms are disgusting!!! We left didn't even check out! Front desk person was pretty nice and very informative. Parking is tight but we lucked up on a nice close spot. We are on the 18th floor so waiting a good min for a not so full elevator is to be expected. We was suppose to get a king suite but ended up wit a 2 queen bed suite equipped wit a full kitchen (fridge, microwave, stove, sink, pots and pans, knives, utensils cooking and eating, plates, cups, mugs, and bowls, and there is a washer dryer in unit.) Pull out bed in the living room. It's jus my husband and I on our honeymoon really don't need all these beds lol but we grateful. Bathroom is big and clean. Beds are all clean nothing off and out of place. I'm deathly scared of heights but the view is amazing from the 18th floor. Lots of kids roaming around but so far the floor and room we are in is pretty quiet. Would definitely stay here again. read more

This hotel is the worst. Went there for a 4 day weekend. The only nice thing was the view from the balcony. The furnishings were shabby and filthy, the Murphy bed that should've had a mirror on it was broken, the shower either scalded you or froze you, and to top it all off, there was blood stain in the comforter. Didn't find that until I was packing up to leave. Housekeeping came once and emptied trash and replaced towels. Did not make bed, did not replenish coffee, sugar, etc., did not vaccuum. Great Rooms..Great view.. Staff was nice.. we stayed here for the past couple of years. My family had a few 4 bedroom condos.. its very spacious and accommodating. Full kitchen 3 bathrooms, 2 balcony's, washer & dryer.. (bring your own detergent) only issue was checking in was chaotic a little one room wasn't ready & they ask for early check in however everybody else room who didn't ask for early check in room was ready.. & now they have no smoking on the balcony so its kind of an inconvenience to keep going down stairs. Didn't eat at the hotel this time, we cooked in our room. & ate scoobys next door to hotel must check them out. Pools are cool, kinda crowed on weekends but that is expected. We enjoyed our stay. No housekeeping came but we didn't want them to due to covid however they came to bring new towels when you call. They have karaoke & a good DJ by the pool area in the evening & get a Italian ice they are soo good take cash tho i don't think that takes card. Views are beautiful all throughout the day/night. However if your sitting outside enjoying the views & listening to the waves expect random fire works at 1 am. You cant hear it in your room really tho, thats the good part. The tv's have netflix, hulu & a lot of other apps so if you have a subscription you can sign in, don't forget to sign out before you leave tho;) Anyway overall great stay. Had a good time. Unfortunately I have the experience of staying in this hotel, I have never stayed in a worse hotel. I stayed here for baseball and I cannot explain how DISGUSTING this place is and everyone else agreed. 1st day a fire alarm went off and we were on the top floor (20 stories) so we walked down about 11 flights of stairs till we realized it was a false alarm. Then later that night at 10pm, they decided to set it off for a test again! Not like we had baseball at 6am the next day. The next day we walked in the elevator, the floor was sinking in, in a corner and they get crowded so it was very unsafe. Later on in the short week we stayed, a cockroach was found in the bathroom and the balcony and the one in the bathroom was so big we killed it with a towel; When we brought it up to the someone they said that's pretty normal.. NORMAL FOR WHERE?? And don't get me started on the people, smells (of weed), and the trash. Cops were outside the hotel and there was a chicken bone just on the ground along with other trash. I love money but I could not stay here another day for a million dollar. I had to rate it, but if I had the choice it'd get 1 star, -1/10 do NOT recommend. read more

The place was easy to find and right off Ocean Blvd. The room was not ready so we left our luggage behind the desk and went to check out some stuff. We arrived back and it was a fairly nice room. I was not real happy as the Ocean VIEW was not actual an Ocean View. The room was located on the side of the hotel with a view of the ocean. I was told that the correct terminology to ask for was Ocean front for being on the ocean. The hotel was nice and it was kid friendly for those who have kids. This room was ok but the plus side was that we were relocated to an actual Ocean view/front the following day for an additional fee of course. The room had a Suite type setup. The Living Room, Kitchen and bedroom were all separate. There was a fridge, stove, utensils and dishwasher. It also had a sleeper bed and a wall bed. The view was great from the balcony. The last night the staff did not clean up but only left some towels. The hotel did reimburse for the cleaning fee. Outdoors There was a walkout from the hotel to the beach. If you want chairs and an umbrella you have to pay the beach lifeguards $35 a day. The chairs really need to be replaced. The hotel had a lazy pool, a kids pool and a jacuzzi. Look elsewhere. I haven't stayed anywhere else yet in MB, but I will not be returning to the Paradise. The parking garage is ridiculous... you need to drive very slow because two cars can't pass each other on a corner. One car even resorted to honking the horn when they went around the corners (ugh). This place seems built for a group of college friends that just want to have fun and go to the beach. The price is right and it's right on the beach. The rooms are super-large. Ours had two full beds and a murphy bed. The beds are all very firm and uncomfortable. Due to the price, you may encounter some noisy neighbors. I was pretty sure our neighbor was an escort... We met some drunk college kids in the elevator. (And I don't mean to sound like an old man that doesn't like to have fun, but those are some of the people you will see here). Everything else is fine. The service is great and the rooms are clean. It's a no-frills hotel by the beach. You won't find facial tissues nor luggage racks. I liked the pool and the hot tub. There was a tiki bar by the hot tubs too, but I didn't get a chance to buy a drink. I really wanted to try their "jungle juice" that was on special, haha. They have free Internet/wifi here but I didn't quite understand how I was supposed to connect. I just hopped on some open networks that looked like they were provided by the hotel. read more

I must say that the resort is mostly clean (the elevators began to smell of urine) the staff is friendly and accommodating, the room met our needs. My biggest complaint (and for me, it's a BIG one)--there were cigarette smokers everywhere! Stepping out onto our balcony was an awful experience. We could not enjoy because fresh, ocean air became nonexistent. This also carried on to the pool area and at the beach. There was no escaping it, other than being locked in our room! If I were to return to the Myrtle Beach area, I would be leery to stay here again. Side note--Unfortunately, we encountered heavy smokers everywhere we went! Outside restaurants, all along the beach (where they deposited their cigarette butts), at the pier. Very, very unpleasant! read more

Am staying here for 7 nights and am on my 4th. Having stayed at several resorts throughout the North and South Myrtle Beach, I've come to expect certain things and, unfortunately, this hotel has fallen short. 1. I was in elevator #1 (the first elevator on the left when you enter from the pool) with my 20 month old when the elevator all of a sudden stopped on the 17th floor, dropped a bit, hung there and then started up again. Was I scared? YES!!! The thought of the elevator plummeting 17 floors terrified me. All I could think of was how am I going to save my baby??? I called the front desk to inform them of the incident. All the while I was literally shaken. The guy at the front desk said he would have someone look into it. He also told me that there is a no mechanism set in place but that's easier said considering it wasn't him with his baby in the elevator when it dropped!!! No apology, no "we will keep you posted", nothing!!! 2. There are sharp metal rusty tips pointing out on a couple of the beds. I injured my leg twice on it. Do I need a tetanus shot now?! 3. One of the bathtub took for ever to drain. 4. There is a pan in one of the cubby that appear to be unwashed and moldy. 5. There are kids jumping around the pool area, one attempted to knock over my niece so that he can take her tube, other members of this family were playing in the pool with no regards for anyone around them and almost knocked several small kids around. I brought my kids here so they can have fun in the pool and beach but if a group of kids are allowed to behave in such manner then it's not a place I feel comfortable having my kids around. 6. First day here, I called the front desk twice asking for a do not disturb sign and asked to not be disturbed but apparently that message never reached the housekeeper because they had gone into our room and we noticed the bed was made. Do I think it is worth the amount of money spent to stay here? NO! Would I come back here? NO! Would I recommend this place to my friends? NO!!! read more

Had a great stay here with my girlfriend. Very clean rooms with a beautiful view and friendly staff. Only peeve I had was a very tight parking garage but the lot across the street was fine and well lit at night. Also I like the idea of having a rubber bracelet to get into your rooms instead of a key or keycard so that I'm not worried about losing it. The hotel isn't bad and our room was clean and the bed was comfy. The people that worked there were friendly and helpful. My only issues are parking is a tight squeeze (even in the off season), the chairs and other furniture need updating, and they need the lamps by the bed where you can charge your phone. I was 100% happy with my stay here. I was vactioning with my family, 5 of us total, and there was plenty of room for us all. The kitchen was great! The bathroom was uber roomy and had a great tub! The murphy bed was even comfy. The suite we had could sleep 8 and had a sweet balcony as well. We were 2 floors from the top and I believe all rooms are beach view so the higher up the more amazing the view! Excellent beach access, shuffle board, small lazy river and two pools top off the amenities of this place. There is also a little tiki bar and small "beach shop" attached as well. The in room washer and dryer is super handy for drying beach towels and washing clothing so you don't have to pack as much. I will happily stay here again. It's not super convenient to fun things to walk to but driving isn't an issue, there is free parking! The "strip" is a few miles away. read more

When I have an epic time I make sure to share. My experience here was great from check in to check out. Front desk guys were very pleasant and check in went smooth. Our room was so much larger than I expected with a washer and dryer. The balcony overlooked the the outdoor pool and the beach. Being on the 8th floor gave us the opportunity to see other pools at other hotels that looked green and fungus. Ours was clean!! Plus to me!! Breakfast was ok I don't eat pork and I like almond milk but that's my preference. Maintenance was on top of things. Loved my stay and hope to return. read more

If you dont like this place and you've visted this year then your just picky amd hard to please. Nothing wrong with that. You just need to stay at an expensive high end resort. This was perfect for my family of 5. We stayed in a King ocean front condo for 4 nights. The room was great. We had everything we needed. The employees were all nice and friendly. The pool area was great. There is a baby pool which was great for my toddlers. A hot tub right next to it for me and a huge chess board for my husband next to the hot tub. The voodoo juice from the tiki bar (in the outside pool area) was really good! There was a sofa bed and murphy bed. Pots and pans were clean. The glasses were a little dusty (meaning they havent been used in a long time) no problem at all. There was a dish washer. They provided the detergent for that. There were no bugs at all! We had a great stay and will be back again this year!! The Sandles restaurant wasnt very good at all. The food was nasty so we cooked our own breakfast and tried some restaurants too. Some ppl loved the food. Everyone is different i guess. read more
