Fantastic stay at the Courtyard Myrtle Beach Oceanfront! I have stayed at many Courtyards before - they're solid for business stays but usually nothing special. This one was the exception! Right on the beach with amazing ocean front room. We could see the ocean from our bed. Very private, the balconies were shielded from the neighbors and even the pools below could only see us if we were out on the balcony. The views were quite stunning! In addition, the pools were nice plus you have multiple pools to choose from. In the evening, the 2nd floor patio with fire pit was great to hang out and relax. Parking is directly across the street in the parking garage. Very quick and easy to get to. Starbucks across the street as well. Highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again! read more

Perfect spot for an overnight stay while in town for a sporting event (track and field). We typically stay in North Myrtle so this was a change for us, staying so close to so much "action". Check in was a breeze. Staff was super friendly. This hotel is located in a great spot...within walking distance to lots of eateries and direct access to the beach. All of the rooms have ocean views. Initially I thought the bed position was weird but I quickly appreciated waking up to views of the beach and ocean. Everything was clean and well appointed in our king room. My only complaint is that the towels were pretty bad and extremely thin, more so than any other hotel I've visited. We went to the bar on the second floor to people watch. It's a cute spot and has access to outdoor seating with a view and fire pits. Our drinks were just "ok"...I've never had ice in a French 75 and my husband's old fashioned was made with crushed ice and not a ball or large cube which was odd. There is ample parking in the deck across the street. Overall, a nice stay! read more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and was very impressed overall. The room is very spacious, it has a small couch, the bed, a desk, and plenty of storage. It also has a small fridge and a microwave. The balcony was probably the best part, there are two chairs in a small table out there, and you can sit and stare at the beach, or look down at all of the pools. The bathroom was very nice and came with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I appreciate the full size bottles that are in the shower whenever I go to a hotel, and this is no exception. I did have to message room service at one point to get new batteries for my remote, and a new bottle of conditioner, and they came up very quickly. One thing I was very disappointed in is that this hotel is shared with Springhill, and for some reason those guests get complementary breakfast, but the people who are staying at the courtyard do not. It is literally in the same building, so I'm very confused by that. I have stayed at other courtyards in the past that do offer breakfast, so this was a little frustrating for me. They have a Starbucks and a bistro on the first floor, as well as a little convenience Store if you need things. There is ice on every floor which I very much appreciate and water on the 2nd floor in the fitness center, which is very spacious with many items to use. Another annoyance was the elevator situation. There are 4 elevators and there was always a line to get on from the 1st floor. It would sometimes take 2-3 sets before I could get on which was a little wild. The foot traffic is a little overwhelming. You get access to 4 pools with a wristband. However, the pools are so full. I tried to go down around 3pm after my day activities and there were zero towels and zero floats to take advantage of the lazy pool. It's very odd to me that multiple hotels get access to the same pools. It's very congested. Not my cup of tea. read more

Traveled to see family. Rooms clean and well appointed. Got an upgrade for free for being a Marriott member. Gave my mom and me a king room with a second room that was a sitting/working area which was great since we have different bedtimes and wake times. Power went out for an hour due to a freak short wind and rain storm but the temperature remained cool in our rooms and the front desk rebooked anyone who wanted to leave. Great experience! Would stay there again! PS...right across from the Ferris wheel that was its own light show! read more

3.5 stars. Would have been more if our room attendant would have actually cleaned our room rather than just leaving fresh towels, lol. But this place is directly on the beach, it's in a nice location, the staff were friendly, the parking garage across the street was tight ($20 a night, but ours was included with our stay). It would have been great if the balcony had screens on the sliding glass doors so that we could sleep with the doors open, I absolutely LOVE the sound of the waves crashing at night, it helps calm me & makes for a great sleep, but there were too many roaches and flies outside- and we didn't want to see them in our room! We were on the top/26th floor which was PERFECT because there were still quite a few families with rambunctious kiddos. There's also a starbucks unside next to the lobby, but they didn't have what I wanted- so i had to go to the one directly across the street, which was fine. It was a great wkend trip, would definitely return to this hotel. read more

This is a nice simple clean hotel. I enjoyed the view from my oceanfront balcony. More specifically, all the rooms here face ocean view. This hotel is located directly on the beach and has easy access to the beach and the pool area. The staff was kind and courteous and they appear to really want to provide great service. I wasn't able to do much this trip as I didn't feel the best. I'd love to go back and really experience the city better, this short trip was nice and I will be back . read more

Very impressed with Courtyard Myrtle Beach! It was more based on expectations, everyone said the Spring break kids overtake the town, it will be noisy, etc. We arrived at the end of March and experienced nice weather with other families on vacation. Checking into the hotel, we entered into a beautiful lobby. It's a large space that overlooks the beach. I noticed an open second floor from the lobby. Once upstairs on the second floor, there is outside seating by gas fire pits with a great view of the beach. The pools, somehow there are multiple pools?? The hotel also share space with the hotel next door. We grabbed a table, sat in the hot tub and swam in the large adult pool. Very nice amenities indeed. Our room was also a great surprise. It was a very large room with a balcony that overlooks the beach. Beautiful sun rises and sun sets, long beach walks and perfect weather in March made our stay wonderful. We didn't dine at the hotel but everything you wish for is walking distance. Marriott Courtyard, it was a pleasure to stay at your pristine hotel. read more

We had a really nice off season stay here this past October. My husband, mom and I came down from Raleigh for a day at the beach! My mom has some mobility issues, so I was looking for an oceanfront hotel with a nice balcony. We were able to get two rooms next door to each other. We had 7th floor ocean front rooms, the rooms were very clean and updated. This hotel had just opened in May 2022. I was happy to see USB outlets in the room too. Overall a very comfortable stay! The pool options here are fantastic. You have the standard oceanfront pool, as well as a heated lazy river. My husband was very impressed by the indoor slides and we had fun going on them. There is also a kiddie area with smaller slides, I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone with kids. We didn't eat at the hotel, but there are a lot of walkable dining options from the hotel. At night we walked down to the boardwalk, it took us about 15-20 minutes. The only negative is the parking, you do have to park in a garage across the street and there is a charge. I hope to come back here next spring or fall for a visit! read more

Location was excellent for avoiding bike week and various other nightlife spectacles. Far removed from the noise and street traffic of the main drag. Basically the last stop at the end of the road. The hotel shares a property line with a state park; no neighboring hotels to fight for beach real estate. Excellent choice for those not wanting any part of the late night, bar hopping scene. Comical amount of airplanes overhead as it is in a flight path for nearby airport. That didn't bother me at all. Rooms...well...are broken. Musty and in desperate need of a complete remodel. Shower head was a few inches removed from the wall, shook and made a noise like a freight train. Front desk said it must be air in the pipes...um, ok. Never walked barefoot anywhere in the room. I'll say once more: MUSTY. The worst beach smell trampled in to any soft surface, never to escape smell. We left after one night... Staff was very understanding but wish we wanted to stay longer. read more

I was in a wheelchair, and I managed to have a relaxing beach vacation without ever stepping on the beach (was non-weight bearing in an ortho boot). The accessible 2 queen room was nearly fully accessible. I was able to roll throughout the room and bathroom without issue. The only issue I encountered was the heavy, heavy door to the room which I had difficulty opening myself (I had my daughter with me). Other than the door, I felt safe while my daughter hit the beach. All rooms are oceanfront with a great view of the beach and ocean. With the balcony door open, I could hear and smell the ocean and even catch a little sun. The common spaces are lovely with floor to ceiling windows to bring the outdoors in. I had no trouble wheeling around. We ate lunch every day in the ground floor bar. The veranda is beautiful but not very accessible. I found one spot to sit. If I'd been with a group, I wouldn't have been able to sit with them. In retrospect, I'm sure I could have asked the staff for a temporary pathway. All the staff we encountered were lovely, friendly, and helpful. We had an issue with the shower not draining properly, and maintenance staff had the problem fixed in a jiffy. Our housekeeper was friendly and made great use of a translation app on her phone. We were sorry to leave and look forward to returning! read more

If you read my prior review on the Dunes Village, well this was where I ended up, thankfully! What a night and day difference. As soon as I walked into the lobby I was swept over by an odor of class and sophistication. While a bit more pricy, it was well worth it. This hotel is on the newer side and is modern. I was put in a queen bed room on the 23rd Floor. The views are amazing. When I got to my room and opened the door, the view of the ocean just hits you. The room had modern furniture and stand-up shower, a personal favorite of mine. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The staff was friendly and efficient. I loved that there was a Starbucks right across the street. Now parking is across the street, but I found it to be easy and secure. At this hotel you are closer to all the happenings of the Boardwalk. Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. read more

Fabulous stay!!!! I cannot express how wonderful this hotel was. We arrived during a Hurricane and were met with the most amazing front desk staff. Keke, was kind and friendly and helped us get checked in, and also gave us a map of where to park with basic info about the hotel itself. This is a brand new hotel, and every room has an oceanfront view. We were up on the 17th floor which was perfect and the room is very clean with a wonderful view of the ocean. One of my favorite things about this hotel is I did not hear ANYTHING from inside the hotel or outside while in our rooms. It was a nice peaceful and relaxing stay. They do have a full bar that is in the main lobby and plenty of seating in the lobby. We had gotten Uber eats one day and decided to eat downstairs where they had tables and little tvs playing cartoons. We will 100% be returning to this hotel. read more

After a harrowing drive into myrtle beach, I only wanted to look at the ocean with a drink. I stopped at the bistro bar and received service from the most personable bartender Latoya. She helped me with recommendations on what was happening in the area and made a mean drink. She is really a gem and many establishments can use service people like Latoya. read more

We selected this hotel because all the rooms have full ocean view and it is a new or newly renovated property. The hotel also contains Marriott-branded suites. When you enter the room, it feels like you are on a cruise ship because the beach is not very deep. Although we were on the 19th floor, we could hear children in the pool despite the cooler weather. When the balcony doors were closed, the room was quiet. Housekeeping does a good job keeping rooms clean. Shower had a shaving ledge and pass-through niche for towels. There is a Starbucks downstairs and a casual bar/dining area. Biggest concern is that parking garage belonged to The Breakers Hotel next door which was undergoing renovations. I would be very concerned about parking after that renovation is complete, since I did not see any other parking garages nearby. Also noted a lack of handicap parking. The room does not have a full-length mirror. Other negatives were uncomfortable pillows and skimpy towels in the room and for the pool/beach. read more

Jada was super friendly checking us in and greeted us each time we came back to the hotel. We met Daryl (maintenance man) during our stay and he was also very friendly.
