If you dont like this place and you've visted this year then your just picky amd hard to please. Nothing wrong with that. You just need to stay at an expensive high end resort. This was perfect for my family of 5. We stayed in a King ocean front condo for 4 nights. The room was great. We had everything we needed. The employees were all nice and friendly. The pool area was great. There is a baby pool which was great for my toddlers. A hot tub right next to it for me and a huge chess board for my husband next to the hot tub. The voodoo juice from the tiki bar (in the outside pool area) was really good! There was a sofa bed and murphy bed. Pots and pans were clean. The glasses were a little dusty (meaning they havent been used in a long time) no problem at all. There was a dish washer. They provided the detergent for that. There were no bugs at all! We had a great stay and will be back again this year!! The Sandles restaurant wasnt very good at all. The food was nasty so we cooked our own breakfast and tried some restaurants too. The dirtiest resort I've ever been to. Spent an hour trying to clean the food splatter on the refrigerator and backsplash. Eventually gave up and checked out after an hour as the smell in the room was unbearable. Sticky carpets and stained furniture. Not what you would expect after paying $175 a night. Checked in today and was told that the housekeeping was not done the room because they had 100 check ins today. Seems hard to believe that my reservation was made in May and the room isn't ready. They offered free drinks. After a 10 hour road trip the last thing you want to hear is,not ready. Check in time is 3:00 PM not whenever you get the room ready. It is now 5:00 PM and room is still not ready. The manager could not come up with an excuse. Poor management and poor planning read more

This was my 4th visit to Myrtle Beach, and I usually stay at a Hilton hotel but I was disappointed with my stay so I searched for other options. I found this location on trip advisor, I got a really good price so I booked a 5 day stay. The hotel is directly on the beach and the view was amazing. When we arrived our room was not ready, so they provided me with arm bands, parking passes and we went to the beach. Outside of checking in being longer than expected, our stay was awesome. I didn't want to leave. This was like a home away from home. The rooms were spacious and included a washer and dryer so I didn't have to return home with wet clothes. Now the wet bar, is a bit over priced for the watered down drinks they serve. I would bring my own liquor next time and make my drinks in the room. But overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

We decided to take advantage of the long holiday weekend and reserved a king deluxe for 2 nights with ocean view. The only positive was the ocean view. 1st while in the lobby checking in, a lady I assumed was the concierge was talking to my wife about deals in the area. After 15min she then went into the free breakfast to sit through a resort deal. Really unprofessional approach. 2nd was finding out the only service provided for cleaning was a change of towels and emptying of trash. This was not shared at check in. 3rd was on a football conference championship weekend the bar was closed. 4th the curtains were stained and because the bedroom window faces the outer hallway, light shines through making it hard to sleep. 5th was the random lady feeding stray cats in the pool area. 6th I understand parking is limited but unless you have a compact car, you will have a tough time with their garage especially when construction and maintenance are parking there vehicles in the driving area. 7th ALL vending machines were empty all weekend long. 8th was the older gentleman at the desk whose response to our complaints was pretty much this is the way it is oh well. I always go straight to the bad reviews first so... ...I can get the real truth about a hotel before I go on vacation. I want to make sure other moms like me will not overlook my honest opinion about Paradise Resort so here it goes: This place is a gem for mama's and babies. I had access to necessities like an in-room washer and dryer for quick cleaning of swimwear and towels; a jacuzzi tub for the toddlers to enjoy a bubble bath; two comfy queen beds for the kids and my mom; and privacy for my husband and I to enjoy the beautiful sunrise in our oceanfront deluxe queen suite. (Room 1704) I am sooo impressed with this place. We normally stay on the north side because we had heard the hotels on the south had been run down by bikers during bike week but not Paradise Resort. It's in a great location, the rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. Things are up to date and the pools cater to children of all ages. I had my 9-month old, 2.5-year old, 6&8 year old with me along with hubby and mom. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during our stay here. The check-in staff member was so helpful and friendly and she set the tone for our wonderful stay. I highly recommend this resort. Tips: - get a oceanfront room every time, the view is wonderful on floors between 7&10. If you're not afraid of heights even higher. - towels are sent to the room not offered at the desk, pool towels are already accessible at the poolside - blankets in room are thin but if you get cold the thermostat inside the room is easy to adjust or just bring an extra blanket from home/ask front desk for another - kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, appliances and silverware, full fridge and stove, mini dishwasher; must bring your own dish detergent - in-room washer and dryer was so helpful and washes and dries fast. Bring your own washing detergent though - awesome beach access, bring chairs though and your own umbrella(not large tents) if your rent beach chairs it's $40+ - parking garage is 4 stories I think and got crowded fast at night. Only had to park in overflow across the street one night. - fast elevators was very convenient - there was a surprise sofa bed along with our Murphy bed/wall bed - full size coffee pot but bring your own coffee and sugars. They have complimentary coffee but it's not very tasty Overall, We absolutely loved this place & We will be back every year for this home away from home. They've earned in reality! read more

Not worth what I paid. The room looked nothing like the pictures. The pools were super packed and it looked like a kids pool party. A bunch of kids running around everywhere. The bathroom had poop stains around the toilet and the faucet made a loud obnoxious sound when ever the water was running. I'm glad we were only there for one night. I rated it two stars because it did meet my need of a clean bed to sleep in and the staff was very friendly. I will never stay there again and wouldn't recommend this place either. read more

Worst stay we've ever experienced. Told they would try to get us in our room a tad earlier, DIDN'T happen. They called us EXACTLY at 3pm and acted like they had done us a service. The ice machine and luggage carts were in an inconvenient location. The room was NOT CLEANED properly and smelled as such. Skimming the room, all seemed ok, but then once we began to settle in, we were very disappointed. From the gunk in coffee maker and blender that hadn't been cleaned, to the dark hair found in shower, the fixtures in the bathroom had NOT been cleaned at all and shower head had the beginning of rust and black mold. The wall pull-down bed hadn't had sheets changed nor properly made up. The pullout couch was dingy and had mold at the bottom of the mattress. Our bed was close to the hallway door and there was a window FACING the hallway. The refrigerator wasn't cold enough to store anything and we were not able to manually adjust the setting ourselves. Due to the inconvenience of the ONE ice machine we found, we bought our own bag of ice to fulfill our needs. Also bought our own lysol to try and sterilize the room and erase the odor. Honestly, it seemed like the big bed sheets had been changed and the room had been lightly vacuumed. That's all the effort that had been taken. And they couldn't allow us to even check in at 2pm? When we saw others going up to their rooms? Seems fishy. We had to check out early due to a family emergency and the concierge I spoke to about checking out early was the ONLY friendly staff member I spoke to. It was a male voice and I didn't get his name. He informed us we would be receiving a little money back since we weren't staying the full time. When I called the front the next morning to let them know we were leaving and to confirm the refund that I had been promised the night before, she was rude and and acted like we wouldn't get refund. (2 days later, it was refunded) The photos attached were just briefly taken as I discovered a FEW of the areas that hadn't been properly cleaned. My bathroom is cleaner and I only deep clean it once a week. We will not stay again. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone. There are definitely worse hotels at Myrtle Beach, however this place is FAR from Paradise! read more

Elevators are slow and make a lot of racket. But again, rooms are clean. The bar at the pool is the only downfall because the bar tender was awful. Definitely won't stay here next year! I honestly will NEVER stay here again! After 6 days, I can honestly say, worst hotel I've ever stayed in at Myrtle Beach!!! Check in was no problem, however, my parents had roaches in their first room! Even after complaining to the front desk I their first night, they were told that an exterminator would come! Even after that, there were still roaches in their room! So they were given a different room. My room, however, never had a problem with roaches. The biggest issue we had was that the staff did not service the room but twice the entire time we were there. Even after complaining that we needed more towels and linen. The cleaning staff was there, but only serviced certain rooms. The pool was dirty, the parking lot was always crowded. We stayed March 16, 2013 - March 23, 2013 As a group of 12 college kids on spring break this was a great resort. The rooms were large (we had a 3 bedroom condo that slept 12). The balcony was awesome. And the hot tubs and indoor pool / lazy river are exactly what we needed when it was 55 degrees outside! Everyone at the front desk was helpful with after hours keys, taxis, and etc. Food Lion was really close along with plenty of other great places to eat and play. We walked a lot which saved us some gas. Everyone at the hotel was also laid back to where we could play our music and drink our beer and no one bothered us. We stayed for one (sat) night at the Paradise Resort. For this review, I'm going to go bullet-style. -Parking: I don't get what everyone is complaining about. We had no problem parking just across the street (didn't bother with garage) -Rooms: Large! We got a King Suite and it was a 1bedroom apartment with an extra bed in the living room. Came with a furnished balcony overlooking the ocean. Kept the door to the balcony open and fell asleep to the sound of crashing waves. -Cleanliness: Poor. I felt dirty walking through the halls to get to our room. The room felt a little outdated and I am convinced there is bedbugs or something else in the bed because when I woke up I was extremely itchy. Gross. -Location: AMAZING! Literally on the beach and loved being able to just go downstairs and take a walk on the sand. -Price: We paid about $110 for one night. For the location, I'd say its worth it. -Other: Liked the lazy river, pool, and jacuzzi- Even in the rain. The bar near the pool is great- bartender gave a great military discount! Cool Guy Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was not a 'resort' feel by any means (other than location) but we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. Our stay at Paradise was not so Paradise and was nothing like a Resort. Three rooms in total, two three bedrooms and one single. It all began our first night. The one bedroom had pubic hair in the bed, not just one or two but two large piles like someone had shaved in the bed. Our bathroom shower had hair and leftover soap in it, crumbs on the floor and seats, stains on the couch and chairs. Nasty black feet stains on the coffee table (see photo). One of the pots had dried soap in it with a shattered wine glass in the cabinet. Water was also left in the ice bucket. VERY understaffed, it took them 3 hours to bring a clean sheet for the first room. Called to the front desk at 8pm and the sheet didn't arrive until 11pm and it was the wrong size sheets. Housekeeping called on Thursday around 10:30am and wanted to know if we would like anything cleaned. We wanted to exchange some towels and I asked when they would be up, their reply, "right now". We left at 1:30 and we still hadn't seen them yet. We got back to our room around 8-9 that night and we still didn't have towels. We called the front desk and just like all the other times, very friendly but it took them until 10:30-11 to bring up the towels. Parking is a joke! Large vehicle like a truck, good luck or you can park across the street in the open lot. Good luck there as well on finding an empty space. Not enough spaces for rooms. Trash pickup with a pull behind cart and golf cart. We came around the corner, two employees seen us but parked in such a way that we couldn't go around them to park. We sat waiting on them to come back out of the building to move for over 15 minutes. They never came back out. Luckily our vehicle has 360 cameras. We were able to use them to squeeze by and to find a parking spot. Elevators, four of them but stay broke down most of the time. One broke down and the fire dept. was called, three hours later and they were free. No paper towels or soap in the kitchens. we asked for more washcloths and you would have thought we had murdered someone. Loud, loud horribly loud out in the hallways at night and mornings. Apparently there is no quiet time. Beds were absolutely horrendous. Very close to the grown (knee high) and they all had some sort of memory foam top. By the third night my back was hurting. No cold water, warm only. Hot water comes and goes during it being ran. It did make it humorous to take a shower as you would be in and out of the water trying not to be cooked versus frozen. DJ, there is a DJ at the surrounding stays including Paradise. They setup next to the pool and play their music rather loudly (hear it inside the room) and some of the music is NOT edited for smaller ears. Their music is so loud that the pool area was packed before they showed up, but after they began playing their music, most all of the people around the DJ had left the area. 9pm and we are now being serenaded by karaoke in the pool area by the neighboring hotel. Once again it's super loud, TV has to be turned up to max to drown out the mashed cats yelling below. This went on until 11:00. Another bad thing about this area, airplanes. Apparently it's the turn-around zone for them. It all starts early in the morning with the helicopters buzzing over, round and around. Then later in the day it's the airplanes pulling advertising banners. Of course all day the helicopters and airplanes are going by but with it being a turn zone, you get to hear it much longer. WiFi... I spent 3 days on the phone with their tech support trying to get it to work. We left with it still not working and no explanation as to why it wouldn't work. They change out their password a day after our checkin and no one told anyone. That wasn't the issue though on the WiFi. Cell service in this location was also come and go on the 16th floor, 15th was ok. Very basic cable tv service. read more

Stayed here a little bit off season midweek, so got a great price around 50 bucks. For that price got a great deal - room was very clean and comfortable, plenty of room. Room faced to the side but still had a view of the ocean. The pool area really is nice - a lazy river, jacuzzi, kiddie pool, and regular pool inside, and a pool outside, all heated. We spent a lot of time hanging out there and at least the time we were there it was fairly quiet. Had some loud college kids next door - security was really quick in dealing with them when they wouldn't quiet down, so points for really prompt service from them. Never heard anything after that. Would definitely recommend at least in the off season, don't know how much the price goes up in summer so that may be a different story then. read more

We love this place! Just got home from a wonderful stay and we are already planning our next trip and we will stay at the Paradise. Our room was ready at check in and was spotless. The management team was great, going above and beyond to meet a special request (props to Ron, he's great!). The amenities were exactly as described and provide a nice break from the beach, which is just steps away from the resort. The pools and hot tub were clean and I like that it is a family and couple friendly resort. It was crowded but the staff kept the grounds cleaned. The only issue is the elevators. Don't be in a hurry. There are only 4 elevators. It can be a pain and a bit if a wait at times but it is what it is. But you are on vacation, so no need to rush any where. Location is perfect! We found this hotel on Bookit.com and were sold by the photos and the desciption and price, although we know that you can't judge a book by its cover. That being said, this hotel exceeded our expectations and we will plan to stay here in the future. Best features: Overall very clean (frequently observed staff methodically cleaning high traffic areas), very functional full kitchen with clean dishes, modern tasteful decor, large seperate bedroom, washer/dryer, large private balcony, easy on-site parking, very friendly and knowledgable staff, very convenient beach access, visable but low-key security, fresh breakfast buffet with friendly restaurant staff, well maintained property. Con: Jacuzzi was always VERY crowded and seemed to double as a kiddie pool frequented by small children and teens with no adult supervision. Overall this hotel warrents five stars and made for a very relaxing, carefree vacation with zero worries or issues related to our lodging. We would love to stay there again! read more

I was shocked when I walked into our room how huge it was! It was like a fully furnished apartment, complete with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom with 2 beds. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and cups and even some pots and pans and other cooking utensils. The decor reminded me a bit of an assisted living facility my nana used to live in--lots of flowery upholstery and light wood, but it was very clean and had a nice ocean view from the balcony. My only real complaint about the room was that the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. I was a bit surprised that there were no beach towels available by the pool area--you had to bring bath towels from your room, or get them at the front desk. I ended up buying some at a nearby store, because the regular towels were small and not ideal for the beach. The pool water was pretty lukewarm and not exactly refreshing on a hot day. Overall, it was a nice place to stay for a family (which most of the patrons were), but as a single girl I think next time I'll look for somewhere with a different atmosphere. read more

Me and my husband and fam travel a lot. This has to be one of the cleanest rooms I've ever had. The bathroom was super clean. I'd eat food off the counters. Reason I took a star off is bc we purchased the breakfast. The breakfast is normally buffet style according to post COVID reviews. The food was OK. We only paid like $5 more to add breakfast to our 2 night stay. It's worth that. I was greeted by a pleasant girl. Then directed to the cafeteria style enclosed breakfast station. This was a new girl. She was NOT pleasant. Not at all. I felt like I shouldn't have even asked for 2 pieces of meat. Keep in mind it's normally a buffet so I was well within my rights of asking for 2 pieces. She just acted annoyed. I still have another day of breakfast to get and I'm dreading dealing with her again but I WILL bc that's what I paid for. We did visit the small....Very small....lazy river and jacuzzis. It got crowded but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would I stay here again?....yes....I would. For cleanliness during a time of needing to be clean, they exceeded my expectations. read more

I have stayed at the Paradise Resort three times now and absolutely love it! The staff are all friendly and willing to do whatever to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We had two minor issues and the maintenance staff immediately took care of it. My son and I enjoy fishing and the close proximity to Springmaid Pier make this even more convenient. This is truly "paradise". If you are looking for a resort that offers something for everyone look no further! This is the resort for you. read more

We rented the penthouse for spring break April 2-April 8, 2023. Our stay was awful. Morning, Noon and Night there was a strong odor of Marijuana you could smell on our balcony, in the halls and around the pool. This sucked considering we had our elderly in laws and children with us. We complained to the front desk with no assistance. We decided to leave a day early due to this Issue and they wouldn't refund our money for the night. We were also charged a housekeeping fee of $29.95 plus $3.90 tax a night. Housekeeping did not come to our room one time during the stay. We called twice for supplies and went to the front desk another day. The manager's excuse was why didn't you call for house keeping. We did three times!!! If you're charging your guest a fee every night we shouldn't have to call. This should be an automatic service. I would not recommend this place if you have children unless you love the smell of pot and like staying in dirty rooms without supplies even though you get charged for it. read more

The general manager will not return any of our phone calls in fact the one time my boyfriend talked to him he pretty much laughed at him!! If it happens to you believe me they will laugh at you too & do nothing for you!! It's pretty much ruined my life, I had to find out the hard way that I'm allergic to bed bugs and they blistered up, it has been the worst experience of my life and that's a understatement!! I have had no sleep since we have been home, I have really bad anxiety due to all this stress of not sleeping thinking I'm gonna get bit over and over again! Overall the experience at Paradise Resort was positive. There was a beautiful view of the beach, the staff was nice(I had one bad experience but i was in the wrong), there were several pools in the lobby (that was kind of non-existent, like there was a breakfast area but that was about it and then a hall to the beach.) but the lobby restrooms were DISGUSTING. The dryer was half off the wall, there was water on the floor, reeked of urine, and overall wasn't sanitary.) also the silverware in the restaurant were dirty and had stains on them. But the room was beautiful and had a nice view of the beach, but there were multiple times throughout the trip where there were people outside our hotel smoking weed and/or cigarettes so I couldn't see the beach at night without smelling cannabis. read more

We stayed here for one night after staying at a condo for a week. My husband and I decide to stay an extra night because the sun finally decided to come out and or toddler finally decided he was ready to get in the water. We found a GREAT deal on Priceline and hopped on one of the last available rooms. We got there and the check in process was smooth and no-hassle. We were asked to speak with a guy about travel deals so we could get a free coupon book, but after explaining that we don't travel very often, he thanked us for our time and we were on our way. The room was perfect and the view was AMAZING! I was nervous that we wouldn't get an ocean front room because of the last minute reservation but we did and we were so glad! I took one star away because of an issue with the parking passes. Upon check in, we were asked to list my husband's tag number, she added that if we were unsure of the tag number, listing the car make/model would suffice. My parents were staying in the suite with us and I listed them on the check in information. When they arrived later that night, my husband went to the front desk, thinking that he could simply add the make/model of their car and get a pass but the nightshift employee told him that he would not only need to get my parents' tag number before receiving a pass, but he would also need to go to HIS car and get his OWN tag number before she would give him my parents' parking pass. It was midnight and my parents parked across the street while my husband was parked in the deck so it was a HUGE inconvenience. I wish I had gotten her name because she was very unfriendly and really annoyed me when I called down to the front desk. My recommendation is for the staff to all be on one accord. She was being difficult for no reason. Ugh!! read more

Best hotel we've ever stayed at! The room was beautiful. Like staying in a small apartment with the most AMAZING view!!! Staff at the front desk, as well as house keeping employees were AMAZING. So friendly, polite and helpful. We were so sad when we had to leave. They sure know how to make you feel pampered. I am not even home yet and I want to come back. Loved the tiki bar. Loved the band. So fun. I can't say enough about how wonderful this hotel made our vacation!!!! read more

Paradise Resort - We nice ocean view - Resorts Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

I want to start by saying the staff here was great. The manager Mike was a huge help and got us out of the hotel without having to pay any penalties and was very apologetic. He helped out all while dealing with what seemed like endless situations similar to mine. First, we showed up for our first vacation after my daughter was born with my mother in law and had a one bedroom suite with a Murphy bed. It was not a suite. Just a big room with a kitchen in the middle and no doors. Second the Murphy bed was broken. They did however give us a second room for free that night. So much for keeping the family together. The room had obviously had someone vomit in it and was not cleaned properly because the whole room smelled. The DVD player did not work and there was full trash bags constantly outside the rooms. Everything was dirty. Not just oops forgot to clean the nightstand dirty. It was what seemed like years of filth everywhere. Moving on to the pool and "tiki bar". Pool area smelled worse than the room. There was no way the baby was going near the pool due to the utter lack of upkeep. The tiki bar was a small shed where one can grab a quick can of beer for $3. I am leaving this review for two reasons. First, I hope that this may make the owners at least think about fixing this. I know that owning a business is tough and I really don't wish anyone's business harm but I fear that the owners will do nothing about the unsanitary and borderline dangerous conditions in this hotel. This brings up the second reason. I hope anyone that is thinking about staying here reads this and finds another place to stay. We found a beautiful suite in Litchfield for less money. read more

This is coming from an extremely picky family.. that should say something. My family has stayed at this resort 3 times thus far. We always request an ocean view (queen deluxe). We have yet to have a single complaint. Downstairs, there is a kiddy pool, a regular sized pool, a nice sized hot tub, a life sized chess board, and a lazy river [ALL INSIDE]! Outside, there is a nice sized pool, a HUGE patio with tons of outdoor seating, a ping pong table, and a tiki bar (the tiki bar serves spiked drinks, virgin drinks, and a large array of foods). You're literally right on the beach, it's beautiful. They also serve a wonderful breakfast buffet. read more
