This place is a little pricey but my mom and I left very happy with our new hair do. The hairstylists here are very professional & talented. They know exactly what to do, I was very pleased but I do wish it came out cheaper. I will be coming back again, the owner is so sweet and caring. They also have a station to do your nails, but the nail techs do look more new at their job. I personally believe they overcharge for acrylics but that's just my opinion. I would like to feel more comfortable with someone who has more experience in doing nails but overall I would come back again for my hair! :D read more

I booked a hair cut appointment for my ten year old daughter. We've only gotten her hair cut professionally at a salon maybe 3 or 4 times so I specifically asked for someone who is experienced with long, thick and wavy hair and who can give us advice. The front desk lady said she wouldn't recommend anyone more than Perry. When we get there, Perry walks out and asks what we are looking for. My daughter, already being nervous, makes a joke saying, "oh I'm not getting my hair cut, mom is." and pats me on the back. Perry looks at her and says, "if you don't want me to cut your hair, why are you here?" He rudely grills her like this, making her even more nervous and uncomfortable before I say, "we are looking to get her haircut, even if its a trim, and advice on how we can manage her hair." Perry then goes on a whole rant about how she's ten years old and if she doesn't want to fix her hair up everyday, she's not going to. He even goes as far as to make an example with my hair, grabs it and comments about it being flat.... He says, he doesn't have any recommendations for her hair and makes it sound unmanageable because he has this impression that she will not keep up with her hair. So instead I (and my daughter) got a whole ten minute lecture at the front desk, about how he could not recommend any haircut or products that would work for her because he did not believe she would maintain her hair. Keep in mind, she's TEN!!! I don't expect her to glamorously blow dry and style her hair every single day how he thinks it should, we just wanted a cute cut that suited her and a respectful hair stylist to make it a good experience. Finally I told him we would just leave to which he replied, "fine by me!" He was rude and completely unprofessional, especially knowing his client was a child. I am beyond disappointed that we had received this much negativity from him over my daughter's hair. Perry, if you couldn't handle someone with thick and wavy hair you should have just said that and kept it simple and directed us to someone who could. Thank you SO much for this experience that will forever be ingrained in my daughter's memory. Way to boost a little girl's confidence and lift her up. Customer service skill: zero. Paradise, if you enable this kind of attitude towards clients then that's really disappointing, your whole job is to help people and empower them by making them feel amazing at your spa. read more

I came in today to get a haircut with Angelo. I've had my hair cut by him before and liked the outcome at the time, so I tried him again. I will never come back again and for a few reasons. First off I came in and showed my stylist a picture of exactly what I wanted (attached picture). If you notice in the picture, the girl has side swept bangs that ends at her chin. My stylist cut it so short it doesn't even pass my eyebrow. I had my phone on my lap with the picture open the entire time he was cutting my hair. Not only were the bangs completely chopped off, but the look in its entirety is atrocious. Secondly, after it was all done and I paid, I showed him the pictures again and asked him "do these pictures look like what you gave me?" (I was so upset I HAD to say something) He gave me some bs answer about how I'm brunette not blonde. I told him "no, does the length and style look the same?" And again he gave me some bs answer. I told him, again,what I had asked for and he said "well what do you want me to do about it?" (RUDE?!) The owner was there and I told him what happened and even he said "what do you want him to do about it?" they showed very little interest in my dissatisfaction. I'm a girl and everyone knows how important a girls' hairstyle is to her, they completely ruined my look and couldn't care less. read more

I decided to give this place a try, as I was tight on time, and it was close to home/had availability. Service: mani "vinylux" /pedi regular. I came in with the intention of getting a regular mani pedi as this location doesn't offer gel. I was up sold to get the "vinylux" which is supposed to last equally as long as gel, but from I was told, is of better quality. The tech who assisted me was Shannon (or perhaps Sharon, not sure as I didn't have my glasses on). She did an ok job in removing extra skin from feet, but aside from that, the experience as a whole was subpar. She was interactive and seems like a nice person, but I am reviewing business as a whole. Cost was $47 plus $5 tip = $52. For that amount of money, I would have expected a more upscale experience (better paint job, perhaps offer of water or coffee, after all, that's what most competitive locations do). -The pedicure chairs are torn and worn out. -I did not receive a hand or feet massage, more of a just rub on cream lightly and quickly. -good job on cuticles, but the paint job was not up to my standards (I will post pics). Something else that gave me a bad vibe was that staff smoked electric cigars. To me, the fact that they are not real cigarettes doesn't change a thing, I still find it extremely unprofessional. I really enjoy getting my hair done my Stephanie (Tutu) She really makes my experience an amazing one. I've probably dyed my hair every color of the spectrum and thanks to her it's still really healthy. Every look I've brought her has come to life and she's been able to mold it into something that would work well with my skin tone and face shape. I trust her so much that I let her choose my haircuts for me. I can't speak for the manicures or pedicures, but if you have a chance book an appointment with Stephanie. She runs on appointments only but she has somehow worked miracles for my hair even on her day off. I made one appointment for Keratine product to try to have my hair straight after 3 days I watched my hair and my hair was curly like nothing had been done previously. I paid $175.00 plus a $20.00 Tip. I came back to the beauty salon and met the owner and his wife I explained to them never happened before in the procedures done in other places. The hair stylist that did the procedure was not there. They were rude, they refused to refund my money or do it again; called my attention that the product applied was without odor. I had an awesome experience here. Angelo did my hair. I got a color (corrected). Angelo understood what I asked for a was able to get me the color I was looking for. Which was such a relief because the last stylist at another salon did a horrible job on my color and cut. My hair was fixed without having to be bleached out, such a relief. He also took the time to make sure my hair was how I wanted it and educated me on how to care for my new hair color. I also get my kids haircuts there and do my leg and brow waxing as well. I can honestly say that it is so refreshing to know that I have a place I can rely on, that is extremely hygienic, fun to be at and close to home! Everywhere I go, I get complimented!!! This salon is the worst place to get ur hair done. I got my hair color done on 25 June 2019. I came 2 weeks prior on a recommendation by the lady who does eyebrows inside their salon. She referred me Angelo. I asked for prices. He said 95$ for highlights and $55 to cover the rest of the hair (since i have old highlights at the bottom) and $55 for blow-dry and haircut. He also offered 20% discount. I was happy with the price and came back 2 weeks later. He was sitting on sofa sleeping when I came in (after calling 15 minutes prior) He tells me to go to restroom and wear the gown over my clothes in a rude manner. I was a bit startled. But I thot maybe he just woke up. Then he started my color job without properly discussing the color with me. He said u can choose whatever color u want later when I do toner. Which was weird. He handled my hair so rough. He does not care about you as a client. He did not listen to any of my concerns or tried to gave me a clear answer. After the start of the service. The price of highlights became $120 and base color became lowlights at additional $120. When I showed him the price what he gave me last time, He said, that is for half hair. (I never get half hair done. I had asked him price for full) The worse part was the way he handled my hair and scalp. He put hot water on my scalp and I told him to be careful. Then he brushed my wet hair badly and hurting my scalp many times. And when he started drying the scalp he hurt my scalp again and again and I told him to be gentle. So HE SWITCHED OFF the hairdryer and said I CANT WORK WITH YOU. You are complaining too much and said he will call someone else to dry my hair. Cant believe u have audacity to say that to a client. I told him that I have sensitive scalp and some acne and Why would I lie to u if its hurting. Then he said yeah, maybe I am a man so maybe its my fault that Im being rough on you. I said there are many men who do hair. Overall the WORST EXPERIENCE of my life at any salon. And also the color turned out uneven. He did UNEVEN Highlights. Some areas have more gap from scalp and some are much closer. I just somehow got my hair dried and left without cut and blow-dry, sick of his drama. The only reason why i come here is bc of Angelo.I came one day bc my friend recommended him And since then (1 year ago) i always come and cut my hair and blow dry it only with Angelo.He has great hands,he always cut my hair like 2/3 inches and my hair grows super fast you can't even tell i cut my hair after like a Month!!!.When he blow dry my hair,i like it with waves and he manages to do them with a brush nd dryer only!!! My waves look so natural.and just as an fyi i do have a really complicated hair.Long (1/2 of my back) really thick black and curly.i would definetly recommend Angelo.And compare to other places i find this Place cheap.$55.00 for cut and blowdry.Usually since my hair is long,in other places I would pay like $45.00 only for blow dry. read more

don't go here extremely expensive!!! I had the worst experience in my life with a hair stylist here. It's been a year and I still have parts of my hair that are burnt and have not been able to cut off. the person who did my hair I don't remember her name I think it was something like maria but I really don't remember. She has tan colored skin and is always hanging out to see if she can get someone to do their hair. She basically burnt my hair from root to tip ahe did a keratin treatment and colored my hair all in the same day saying that it was better because the color would retain the keratin more and what she did was burn all my hair. Also I paid some outrageous price close to $160. Dont go!! they are expressive and unscrupulous. read more

This review is long overdue but I was actually too annoyed to write it til now & I knew it was going to be extremely long in detail but here goes... I went to this place a few months ago for a keratin trmt with Angelo. Ive had keratin trmts done a few times b4 usually for the summer months at a different salon so I knew what to expect & have generally been happy with it. I decided to try this place for keratin since they were offering a deal. I had gotten my hair cut by Angelo once b4 & although it was nothing special I decided to give him another try. The salon staff in general is also nothing special & not especially friendly. No one goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. They also neglected to tell me there would be a $35 up charge for long hair. My hair is shoulder length, thin & fine. I explained to Angelo that whoever booked my appt never mentioned this to me. He then proceeded to shrug his shoulders & told me that's what they charge. I was already slightly annoyed but decided to go ahead since he had already shampooed my hair in what is the worlds most uncomfortable sink. We talked about the keratin trmt in general & he was well aware of what my expectations were based on my previous experience with it. He assured me it would last 6 months & I thought that was unrealistic but even if it lasted 3 or 4 months I would of been happy. I was already a little worried about the outcome as he worked on my hair bc he was very rough when he was detangling my wet hair. After applying the keratin which he kind of skimped on, he also didn't apply it carefully to my cowlicks as I had requested. He also skipped a step & didn't put me under a dryer to let it penetrate b4 blowing it out & flat ironing. Once he was done it didn't look especially shiny like it normally does & he applied shine serum to it which it shouldn't of needed. I already knew not to shampoo for 3 days & waited 5 days instead just to be on the safe side b4 washing & blow drying my hair. Immediately after being outside for a few minutes I could feel my hair swelling & could feel the texture changing. When I looked in the mirror I could already see frizz. Needless to say I was very upset & decided to take some pics to document it. I waited a few more days b4 shampooing again & my hair got progressively worse. By the third shampoo & blow dry my hair was now frizzy & wavy. I took some more pics & headed to the salon to speak with Angelo. When I arrived at the salon it was not busy as usual & no one went out of their way to greet me as usual. Angelo was sitting on the sofa & didn't recognize me after only a couple of weeks. I explained calmly what was going on, showed him the pics & more importantly the current state of my hair. He actually had the nerve to tell me that keratin was not supposed to make my hair look straight & shiny but merely take some of the frizz out & that my expectations were unrealistic. I explained that this was not the case based on my previous experience with keratin & that I had never experienced a problem b4 now. Let's also not forget he had told me it would last for 6 months no less. In a nutshell he basically shrugged his shoulders & stated that there was nothing he could do. At this point there was no point in wasting anymore of my time & I basically told him I would never return to this salon or recommend him to anyone. His response was to once again shrug his shoulders..unbelievable. Had he offered to at least fix the problem I wouldn't of had to write this very long negative review but clearly Angelo & not even the owner of the salon care enough about their customers to make sure they leave happy & satisfied They chose instead to have a customer leave feeling like they were lied to & ripped off not to mention disgusted by the terrible customer service. Stay away from this place if you're looking for quality service, courteous treatment & a place that actually values your business. read more

I was charged the difference after redeeming my Groupon and ended up paying full price ($135) when the Groupon is valued for $200 worth of services. The owner asked the stylist what the difference was for my hair type right in front of me and the stylist looked dumbfounded! I stopped coming to Paradise salon several months ago after my hair nearly broke off. Angelo sold me this conditioning treatment for an extra $10 and said I wouldn't even need to condition my hair after he washed it as this would take care of it. Well after having highlights on my head for over an hour while he took care of other clients, my hair was already too brittle. By the time he'd washed my hair, applied this "wonderful conditioning" treatment, blow dried my hair and ironed it, my hair was cardboard. I had an event later on that evening and when I tried to brush it, my hair had clumped together and I couldn't get the brush to go through it without causing major damage. I would up spending $160+ for damaging my hair terribly. I was really disappointed as I thought I had found a wonderful stylist for once.. I now go to my mom's hair dresser who is much more gentle and spaces out her clients better. read more

Unfortunately, I went in one day and my hair was not cut to my specifications. The stylist was cutting my hair incorrectly and to fix her mistake had to cut over 6 inches of hair to fix her mistake. This was strike 1. A few months after my hair had grown out, I returned for a cut giving Paradise Salon another chance. Well, at the time I didn't realize the woman cutting my hair was the same that had ruined it the time before. Needless to say my hair came out terrible. I came here to get my hair highlighted, a cut and an eye brow wax. Terrible management the owner checked me out at the end of my services gave me my total and told me he'd text a reciept. That never happened and I ended up being charged $25 more than he originally told me. When I emailed to ask about it he added something that I was never told or asked about for the $25. I was then told he would look into it. That was 3 weeks ago and I never heard back. My service there was rushed. I had 2 people pulling on my hair to blow dry it to get me out the door faster. You can see my outgrowth still and they charged me $164! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! read more
