The store gave me a discount of $2.00 on a $417.00 purchase. I did not get 10% off on a case buy. We questioned the cashier and his response is that it would bring it below state min. Did he really analyze each wine I bought to determine this? I go to other stores and the retail is $1.00 less and I get 10% off. Not that I go there often but now I never will. They do have a good selection, but a bit overpriced.

Today, there are 6 stores in town and some of them deliver (one has a $100 minimum for free delivery). I'm for the local guy. The store is on the small side, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a wide selection. The aisles are narrow, but he has a good selection of wine and beer, and he's very knowledgeable and great with selections. He's also a one-man show. As far as I can tell, he's the only employee. He's got to be the hardest working guy in town. His prices are good; his service is impeccable; his selection is top drawer. What's not to like?

I thought the beer was delicious and will go back for more. The release party was so much fun. It is all about celebrating and supporting women in the fermented/alcoholic beverage industry. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. The Food The meals were a bit disappointing, especially considering the standard menu pricing. My wife requested that her scallops not be undercooked. The server politely noted that overcooking them makes them tough, reassuring us they are always "cooked to perfection" here. However, when the plate arrived, they were quite undercooked and needed to go back to the kitchen. Even after being reheated, they unfortunately remained undercooked. My beef tenderloin tips meal was acceptable but fairly ordinary and didn't quite live up to a premium price. Both entrees featured puréed potatoes and what were listed as "asparagus tips". We had to chuckle when the plates arrived, as the asparagus servings were mostly the stalks and very sparse on the actual tips. The service itself was perfectly fine, though there was a minor hiccup at the end. When the check arrived, the 15% discount hadn't been applied. The server was apologetic, mentioning it was the first night of the promotion, and quickly corrected it for us. Overall Impression Even with the discount, the dinner felt fairly marginal for the cost. The overall atmosphere was a bit uninspiring, and given the disappointment with the food, we likely won't be rushing back anytime soon.

My husband loved his spicy Korean fried chicken, and my shrimp tacos were tasty. My only complaint was that my meal was lukewarm (and the fried onions were barely warm and not crispy)- clearly my entree sat under the heat lamp while my husband's was being cooked.
