I got my nipples pierced here last July and the piercer was nice and professional and made me comfortable but I DO NOT recommend coming here because they used externally threaded jewelry. I didn't know until 7 months later when I had another piercer change my jewelry. I just think this is unbelievable because everyone knows that externally threaded jewelry is horrible for you (especially licensed piercers) After reading the other reviews I realize I'm lucky I was pierced correctly at all. He completely captured the feelings that I had when I looked at the original picture. This place is extremely unprofessional. I messaged their page two weeks before showing up for a walk in piercing. At the original message they told me I could come in and do it as a walk-in, but I asked if I could make an appointment just to make sure they could fit me in. They ignored my message. So I showed up at 1:30pm (keep in mind the place doesn't close until 6pm) after driving an hour and a half for this piercing and I was told the piercer was out for the day and to come back after 10am the next day. I also got my septum pierced here January 2021 and it healed fine but the experience I had was also unprofessional, all the guys were just sitting around making crude jokes with heavy metal music BLARING on the speakers (I don't mind heavy metal but man was it loud). Please take the time to read this. I recently had my nipples pierced. I trusted that my piercer knew what he was doing etc, he had told me he pierces behind the nipple, basically on the areola, where in fact you pierce the base of the nipple where it meets to the areola. Mine was pierced directly on the areola. 5 days into my healing my ball started 'dimpiling' meaning it was sinking into my areola/nipple. I had started to panic and look up shops around me due to paragon not being open on a Sunday. I went to a shop in TC (mind this was the piercers day off) but he knew this was urgent because of how it was sinking into my areola causing horrible pain. He had told me the piercing was done completely wrong and had taken them out due to me losing sensation/the ability to breast feed in the future if I had kept them in longer. 3 days later paragon had messaged me back after I told them my problem, and they said it's possibly too much swelling and I may need a longer bar, which wouldn't help me at all it would damage my nipples. The piercer was nice and kind at paragon ink, but didn't pierce them right and I just don't want other women or men going through this thinking "I'll just clean it better or get a longer bar put in". I called the day before and spoke with a gentleman about getting a tattoo and would they have someone available the next morning and was told they did walk ins.The following day I showed up around 11 with a design of what I wanted.After looking at what I wanted done and giving me a price I agreed but then was told I could come back later in the day or sometime this weekend. They tell me STATE OF MICHIGAN won't allow them to pierce nor help put a piercing in a 13 yr old (nose or ear) even with parent consent, however, other tattoo shops throughout MICHIGAN will and has pierced a 13 yr old. PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ!! So excited to finally book an apt for nipple piercings. I booked an apt and it's been almost a month now with having them. Well sorta. I had to remove :( I had a very very nice and caring man from a different shop stay after hours, because he said it was urgent I came down so I could see him and get them removed, and cleaned to heal up correctly. Dan, the guy who pierced my nipples at paragon ink in gaylord was very very pleasant, except for the fact he seemed un-knowledgeable or unlicensed to pierce genital areas. I removed them, as they were pierced through the areola (NOT THE NIPPLE), through milk ducts potentially leading to loss sensation and failed breast feeding. I was told the infection I had was from inside-out, meaning it was solely infected due to poor piercing/location. I want to say this hasn't happened to people I know, BUT. My friend recently had hers done and hers were the SAME way! Infected due to poor location. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND for any genital piercings, and maybe any for that matter. Will not be back....Very very sad I had to remove, will be getting them re-pierced at Pinups & Needles, check them out before going anywhere else! read more

I honestly never would have thought I'd be comfortable in a tattoo parlor. Wow! I was so pleasantly surprised. The staff here is so kind, professional and knowledgeable that I was immediately put at ease. I went in for a simple wedding band design and the artist deemed best up for the job was referred to me. He then immediately did the consultation, we agreed on the price, and he went to work. I did not follow proper care instructions as I used Neosporin instead of A&D, and even though I was at fault they agreed to touch up my ring! The environment is clean and above board. I have referred my friends who are ink addicts to this place!! They are true artists and masters of their craft. read more

Updated from my first review, Was told per Paragon ink that they have taken other people's Deposits as well and it is their policy to do so NO MATTER HOW BIG THE DEPOSIT and that they have taken $500.00 from someone and they were PROUD the did it, Instead of not scheduling him anymore they kept scheduling him and kept keeping his deposits like it was a JOKE HAHA How much money can we get from this fool and not have to work, Good business. I guess instead of doing the work it pays more to keep people's deposits. Like I said to them they have bad business ethics and are crooks, and if you want to charge a flat cancellation fee or reschedule fee I get it, but them saying they are teaching people responsibility by taking their deposits? Good to know that they do the right thing and are honest people...NOT! read more

i would not recommend going here. i'm not sure how there's 4.7 stars on google. maybe i had a bad experience because i received service from them when they were renovating their building but it wasn't nice. when i got to the building they were renting out, it was very dirty and unorganized. they asked me what i wanted and i said a nose piercing. they asked if i was 18 and i said yes, then they asked my mom for her ID. i filled out the paperwork and he went to wash his hands. when he got back, he grabbed his vape with CLEAN hands and hit it near my face. i walked back to the room to get pierced and there was gaming chairs and a gaming counsel. his hands were not sterile at all and he pierced my nose without gloves. then after piercing it, he wiped the blood off of my nose without gloves. just very unsanitary, unorganized, and unprofessional. maybe they have their stuff together at their main building but this wasn't a good experience! read more

Their piercer is fantastic! He lets you know exactly what he's going to do and he talks through it. Although I've never gotten a tattoo there, i would definitely recommend going the Paragon Ink for a piercing! There establishment is very nice, and one of the cleanest places I have ever been in.:) read more
