They did all of our makeup and hair in 3 hours, were extremely personable yet, still very professional! They curled my hair at 8:20 am, we then had pictures at the beach, in a park and at the ceremony with decent winds (right on Lake Michigan) and around 6 pm my cousin was in shock by my hair still. Although their eye-liner and mascara was not 100% waterproof (a definite problem), they recommended a specific brand to buy at the drug store and used our store bought make-up with no hesitation. Rude staff and broken system - two years in a row…read more This is my second year trying this Great Clips location in Petoskey (by Starbucks on US-31 and Lears Rd), and unfortunately, it's been the same frustrating experience as last year. The online check-in system is unreliable. I signed in and was listed as 8th in line, but then it suddenly switched me to 9th. My profile didn't show "in salon," so I approached the staff to clarify. Instead of helping, one of the employees (a lady with gray hair) spoke to me with a rude attitude and kept repeating that if I checked in online, it was "sufficient." When I showed her the screenshots proving I was listed as 8th before being pushed back to 9th, she became upset and told me she had "no idea how that system works." It's very concerning that the staff doesn't understand their own system, and worse, they treat customers disrespectfully when we try to get clarification. Last year, I had almost the exact same issue at this location, so it seems nothing has improved. If you value your time and want a professional, respectful experience, I'd recommend avoiding this location.
