Honestly, I've heard enough horror stories from this place, that I realized I'm doing a public disservice by not sharing a particularly traumatic experience about 7 years ago, when I was not a legal adult. My mother asked that I get sealant on my molars. Instead the dentist's hygienist "sanded down" my healthy teeth and then the dentist put unnecessary fillings in them! That is not sealant! I just switched over to this office from another dentist, because of all of their "cool new technology." Although I didn't have any cavities according to Dr. Sullivan, my mother asked about sealants on my teeth to prevent any cavities due to her fear of lidocaine given my neuromuscular illness. The dentist said he could put sealant in and would recommend it to prevent cavities. I was concerned during the process and asked that they stop to explain how this was sealant given that it felt like they were drilling my teeth, rather than cleaning them, but they wouldn't stop given that I was only 17 at the time, and told me not to worry that they had to make sure the sealant wasn't on top of any bacteria (this makes no sense in retrospect given that bacteria is literally everywhere). They told me this was regular procedure for sealant (lies). But it was only after the procedure, when we got the bill for thousands of dollars, that we realized he put fillings in, not sealant. We went to another dentist later, who said it wasn't sealant but fillings. I now have to get them replaced soon as one does with all regular fillings to prevent decay (with lidocaine). During the procedure, the dentist even called someone about buying something for his boat. After which fact, I should have jumped out of my chair and ran out. I know have a terrible fear of dentists, which I never had before, and I have to replace fillings on teeth that would not have otherwise needed fillings.

They already took payment before the work was completed and now they have disappeared. My family member is in severe pain from the work not being completed and now has no way to pay someone else to finish the job. They should be investigated for embezzlement. They even had a county utilities shut off notice at the charlevoix facility.

I made an appointment, waited a month and filled out burdensome paperwork I'm the office 10 minutes early and the office is dark. He comes in 10 minutes later. The lady comes in I give her four pages of paperwork that they made me fill out before I came in. One of the pieces of paperwork asked if I smoked weed? Yes I do, weed is legal in Michigan. He says he can't see me, Michigan law, I am under the influence. I am 67, retired business owner, veteran, father bla bla bla. I know CHICKEN SHIT when I hear it! He is an asshole, they are assholes. There is no such law. Avoid if you are an adult serious about your teeth. Though I cannot see why ANYONE would take their children to these small minded imbeciles is beyond me. Screw you Dr. Paramo!

Went in for a filling that came out. No pain, just needed the filling replaced. Dentist used a…read morecoarse, raspy burr (you know the kind that rattles your skull) the informed me that I had a cracked tooth. after the novacaine wore off, tooth was painful. went back in for cleaning, complained about tooth again. Was informed that I have bone loss and provided info on a foaming toothpaste from Amazon. 2 weeks later, went in for follow-up where my bone loss measurement improved (all 2 and 3). As I was getting out if the chair I informed Paramo that I still can not chew on my left side because of this "cracked tooth". he sat me back down in the chair to have "another look". Measurement probe showed a 5. Paramo then proceeded to tell me I needed specialized puctures of the tooth to determine if can have a root canal or need to be pulled. They were going to call the "specialist" and get back to me "very soon". that was over a month ago. Something is seriously wrong with this dude. Go there at your own peril!

He's as knowledgeable and gifted as any dentist or doctor, for that matter, that I've ever experienced. From my initial consultation I learned I have a couple fillings and a tooth in the back that needs extraction. The good doctor examined the X-rays and explained in great detail all my options, their pros/cons and most importantly, his opinion. I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid. We went with his recommendation. He painlessly numbed the area to the point where you could have hit me with a sock full of quarters and I wouldn't have felt a thing. He then took care of the biggest concerns and again explained my dental situation to me. After the insurance kicked in, the cost was shockingly low. The whole was over in a very short time and there were no complications. All I have to compare him to is the questionable dds' in Nevada, Texas, Alaska and Utah. He was far better then any of them. Of you have the opportunity, get in to see this man. His staff are wonderful and efficient. His assistant, Daphne, is witty and talented. Great day for us. Five stars, hands down. 02/24

Angie and Rose are so fun and wonderful to talk to at the front office. They are kind and supportive people who have been through this process and they have a lot of knowledge. Our dental hygienists are amazing and thorough when cleaning your teeth. As picky as we are, they definitely get a reward for their cleaning.
