I drove here from Santa Clarita as the reviews were all very promising. I was worried about where to purchase my first ball python because I have heard horror stories on pet shops selling sick or bug infested animals. I had also seen this place at the Reptile Super show and they seemed very knowledgeable and sweet. The girl that assisted me I believe was named Betty (I'm writing this review a couple months late). She answered all my questions and allowed me to hold the 2 pythons available. She got me all set up with what I needed to get started. I had gone to another reptile store where the store was so overcrowded with reptiles and you can tell they weren't being really taken care of as they're enclosures were covered in feces or they were in empty enclosures. And they wouldn't let you see the reptile you were buying up close unless you bought it. They didn't even bother to let you know anything about the reptiles and didn't really answer questions. Paramount reptiles were the opposite. Betty was super friendly and chill. You can tell that they care about their reptiles and are more than willing offer advice. She let us hold quite a few baby snakes and I ended up going home with one of the little ones. It's my first time owning a snake and was a bit nervous about getting one, but Betty answered any questions I had which honestly made me feel a bit more confident about owning a snake. If you're a first time reptile owner I definitely recommend coming here first to get your first reptile. read more

Got our Gargoyle Gecko here three weeks ago and he is such a good boy!! He's an 8 month old and when we got him, he was already very good at taking crickets enthusiastically!! He's so beautiful and we got him very reasonably priced for his morph. He's not mean, and has clearly been handled so it's not as bad as he gets used to us. We've only had him for three weeks and only started handling a week ago once he settled in his new home, so he doesn't like getting picked up that much but once he's in our hands, we can treadmill him and he's such a good gecko! We also called and asked some things about how he liked his food and water and they were super helpful which I think helped him transition easier. Also super friendly in store. Definetly would reccomend their geckos- the one we got was hatched there and well taken care of before he joined our family. read more

2-3 years ago I purchased a presumed female from a store called "Paramount Pet entertainment" or ppe reptiles. I've known this since I was 14-15 years old. I got this "female" as a gift and really wanted a FEMALE which is why her name is Kahlo. I trusted them with the relationship from past transactions. The owner Jessie and I were on the phone along with his Wife Holly while on speaker. I spoke with Holly to let her know the snake I bought from them was a MALE . Their response was "why did I wait so long to sex it?" Truth is I Believed them and took their word due to being a novice at the time. @paramountreptilez has let me down unfortunately and I feel very taken advantage of at this point. Not to mention the unbelievable response that they responded saying "I switched the animal from the female to male" which makes no sense at all for me to do so considering I need a Pair of King snakes. They insisted what I was saying was "Shady" and that I'm asking for money. Jessie popped the snake and said the Sex was a Female but with colubrids is never guaranteed unless you Probe them with the right equipment which Jessie never did. They are suggesting for me to return the snake for $120 back and to give them the snake back. I raised the snake for 2 going on 3 years and fed the animal and spent time and money on the animal and not to mention it was a gift so it has sentimental value. All I was asking for was either store credit or a female Mexican black king snake for the trouble. Anyone that holds integrity and honesty in their business would know they are only as good as their word and they failed to provide a TRUE FEMALE Mexican black king snake. I will no longer support this business and I advise everyone to steer clear of these guys. They said they "do not guarantee" anything on their animals but other successful stores whether it's feeders , supplies or animals I've purchased in the past always go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy. I am very disappointed especially with the tone from Jessie after being disrespected by him several tI recommend anyone in the (562) area to check out other stores near the Area such as Reptile Factory Downey. Update: 8/9/19 They had "offered" 7 days to come up with a solution. When I texted to follow up to see what they could do to resolve the mislabeled snake I got no response. I just want to add for any visitors please make sure you get a Receipt labeling what animal you are purchasing with the exact Genetics and Sex and animal. A simple receipt that says purchase of $xxx amount doesn't help in most cases. Credit card transactions won't say what you're purchasing so make sure you have them add that for you. Unfortunately I paid with cash so for my people that pay with cash please ask for a receipt with Sex , genetics and type of animal. read more

I had been driving around looking for a 24" UVB light bulb. I called them up to check and the girl who answers was very nice. When I got their they were all super friendly and helped me out with getting a couple of other things for my little guy. Their worms are healthy and from the looks of it my guy thought they were also very delicious! I'm so glad I found this place. Hands down!!! Getting out of he ordinary Clowns and magicians for kids parties , These are probably one of the best entertainment that a kids or adult parties can have. I seen them a few years back at a kids birthday party and decided to bring them to my daughters party. Everyone was very well entertained and especially the adults, I think they were more freaked out than the kids lol..... family owned and very respectful. We had a blast with the reptiles at my daughters 2nd birthday! Jesse did a fabulous job of involving all the kids, aged 1-4, and kept there attention way longer than I expected! The kids loved touching the different reptiles and the adults loved learning about them all (and petting them too). We did the extra 30 min of photo time and that was a major hit- everyone big and small has their Britney Spears snake pic now! I would definitely recommend Jesse and Paramount Reptiles.
