We have been looking for months for a hypoallergenic dog and I found Domino Schnoodles online. I texted Ashlee to request an appointment and she responded very quick. We scheduled an appointment to see some available puppies she had online that weekend. At the appointment, she brought out three different schnoodles we were interested in. The one we ended up choosing was Snowflake. She was a 13 week schnoodle. At first when Ashlee brought Snowflake out, she was very shy and timid. But that's to be expected from meeting new people for the very first time. Slowly Snowflake opened up and she was so sweet. We ended up buying her that weekend, but we were not prepared at home for Snowflake. Ashlee offered to keep Snowflake for a week so we could buy all the necessary things for her! She eventually started to open up. Snowflake is now 16 weeks and is the sweetest little girl. She learns so quick! Ashlee also mentioned her dogs are very aware of the word "no." Snowflake picked up a lot of things very fast and is very into words of affirmation. We also just had her 16 weeks vet check up and Snowflake is a healthy puppy. We couldn't have asked for more. I felt very secure knowing we had a puppy from someone who has been in the breeding business for a long time. I am writing this with a heavy heart. Yesterday we had to euthanize our dog who we purchased from Domino Schnoodles in 2011. At the time of purchase we were told that he was a Schnauzer. Then that was adjusted, with an apology, to a Schnoodle, after it was determined that an unsupervised breeding took place. We chose to keep the pup, despite it's undetermined bloodline, since we had grown attached. It is a sad business trying to decide whether to return a pup because the breeder made an error in keeping the breeding female away from the studs. We loved our boy and made the decision whole-heartedly. Our dog was anxiety-ridden and sensitive, choosing to stay in the house rather than meet the world, but that may be a personality development more than genetics. I could not say. We made a loving home for him and expected him to live a long life. About 18-months ago, in a check up, we were told that he had a heart murmur, and that it was most likely Stage 3/6 at that point. His health has been otherwise fine, albeit he is extremely thin. Three weeks ago, life changed for him. His heart raced and he would randomly collapse. He stopped eating, and wasn't acting like himself. We monitored him and started medicine when the veterinarian thought it was appropriate due to a high white blood cell count and fluid on the lungs. He also presented with increased cardiac disease and a failing kidney. Rapid weight loss, refusal of food, vomiting and diarrhea were daily companions. Finally, we accepted that our boy was going to die six month prior to his 10th birthday. If I can counsel anyone on purchasing a pet from any breeder, much less Domino Doodles, it would be to demand a genetic markup for the parents, including breed-specific areas of concern, such as cardiac, ophthalmological, spinal and blood. Knowing what we do about the lack of sharing regarding the breeding of this particular litter, the unknown factors of a potential parent-to-child or -sibling mating, and the irresponsibility of the tracking for the three-pup litter all should have been cause to refuse to sell the pups from the onset. I don't regret having my boy in my life, even though I am grieving, because he gave us love in exchange for what we gave him. His short life was kind. But it is a sad, sad thing to have watched his eyes close forever yesterday, knowing there was nothing we could do. Genetics took our boy too early. I stood there, at the veterinarian's office, masked and crying, holding my daughter while she sobbed, and trying to calm her rage at "that horrible breeder" who created the medical situation out of negligence. read more

One of them was cryptorchid and has many of the other signs of an in-bred dog like parrot mouth and pre-mature greying, and the other had recurring pancreatitis. Anyone who knows me knows I haven't spared any expense giving them the best possible care, food, lives imaginable. Last month, at the age of 2 1/2 I lost one of them to an abdominal obstruction, and it was suggested to me by several people that he exhibited some signs of genetic defects. His surviving brother also had an abdominal obstruction but we saved him in time with surgery. The odds are uncanny. I love these boys with all my heart, I can't imagine my life without them, but it has been a very difficult road and lots of expensive vet bills. We have a 7 month old schnoodle that we purchased from Domino Schnoodles that we have raised since she was 8 weeks old. Our pup is not the first dog we have raised, we have had 2 other dogs and we consider ourselves to be experienced, caring and well informed pet parents. Our interactions with Ashlee starting from when we paid our initial deposit and up until our last interaction when our pup was 5 months old have been inconsistent. Sometimes Ashlee is responsive and provides answers to questions and other times she is short tempered and frantic. We found that we were at times "walking on eggshells" with Ashlee depending on her current state. A lengthy manual was provided when we got our pup with some good information however pages were omitted and updates were not included. Our reason for a less than good rating though is the following : -At the first vet visit which was at 3 months our pup was diagnosed with giardia. Our pup had not set foot outside our home (as per the manual) and we were diligent about removing our shoes outside so as not to track in anything that might cause her problems. We asked Ashlee how she could have gotten giardia she said she didn't know. Our vet said that the mother or another dog at the breeder could have passed it along to our pup. We had to administer medication and get follow up fecal tests to insure that the giardia was gone. -We noticed that our pup's ears would flap back (the inside part of her ears would be exposed) and not return to their correct position unless we manually turned them over. We asked Ashlee if this was "normal" and hopefully just a puppy thing and she said yes. At 5 months her ears were still flapping back and not returning to the proper position so we got in touch with Ashlee again and asked her about it, she said that it happens to her dogs too and she asked her vet about it and the vet said there is nothing wrong with the ears. I said to Ashlee that we thought that schnoodles' ears are supposed to hang down not be flapped back constantly, and that's when she lost it. She said that we were insulting her and that she didn't want to engage with us anymore. Ashlee became very defensive and shut down the conversation. If Ashlee is a reputable schnoodle breeder, then the schnoodle characteristics are supposed to be as outlined in her own manual. There is a particular look that she is breeding for, however somewhere along the line the ears at least in our pup and as she admitted in her dogs were weakened somehow. Our pup is a wonderful addition to our family and we love her very much. I wanted to write this review however because I know if I would have seen a review like this prior to making a decision to get a schnoodle pup from Domino Schnoodles I would have done some extensive research into this ear problem. read more

I reached out to Ashlee in August 2020- she let us know that we can put a deposit down for fall 2020 schnoodle puppies. We received no updates unless we reached out through out the fall. Come December we decided to ask when we should be expecting a puppy because we had vacation plans. We were told the puppy would be ready in the spring maybe. On the contract it stated that she had until February 2021 to produce a puppy. We received no updates the entire winter until the last day of February. Ashlee called me and said the puppies were actually born yesterday if we wanted to wait to pick them up. We said no and asked for our money back. I also still follow the Facebook page, where it looks like she has posted all past litters. I never saw the litter that was "born" in February supposedly. Advice to the breeder is to be upfront and honest with when the litters are coming. A pet store suggested a "Schnoodle" Dog, and I started my quest to find one.. Didn't take long on the internet, and I came across Norma and Ashley's (Domino Schnoodles). I talked quite a bit about behavior, etc, and found much in common to my dog as a kid.. So it was about this time, that they had had a recent litter, and I started picking out my favorites.. She was compassionate and told me to take care of my friend and contact her upon my return. I was shocked when she didn't even charge me a dime for the extra week even though we had agreed that I would pay her for boarding my puppy. I love the puppy packet. I purchased Charlie from Domino 5 years ago. I can't even begin to tell you what am amazing dog he is. I have had dogs my entire life, and I'm no youngster, and have never had a dog like him. He is truly my "dog soul mate". He is smart, sweet, personable, and the most loyal dog I've ever owned. I have 3 dogs right now and, I know I'm not supposed to say this, but Charlie is my favorite. Mocha has been an amazing dog. Our experience with picking her out from the mother/daughter breeders (forgot their names, as it's been 6 years), detailed care instructions, follow up questions from us-- all good! Only side note about the schnoodle breed- they do have a high pitched bark and small stomach. Took almost a year to potty train, but probably because we work from home w/non-routine schedule. With their guidance, we were ready to bring our baby to a home that was set up for him. And when we had questions about his vaccines and care, they have been incredibly informative and responsive. Our Schnoodle from Ashley will be three years old.. I can not say it has been a easy three years. We started having problems around 4 months and has continued since. When I called Ashley for help, I was yelled at and told it was all my fault, even accused of abuse. Our dog is aggressive, protective, fearful, barks at the wind, her own shadow and every member of the family every time they enter a room. She is a very anxious dog! She has had nothing but LOVE from us. I have no choice other then to continue with behavior training again. $$$ Please consider a pure bred dog. I do believe my dog is hard wired this way. read more
