Our friend who is a local recommended this park to us over Parc Guell. We did both parks in the same day and while Parc Guell is definitely worth seeing, this Parc is special and definitely worth the ride. To get here we took a taxi from Parc Guell and our driver remarked that he'd been driving a cab for years and had never heard of this park! But this place is so beautiful and so worthwhile. It's absolutely gorgeous, lots of roman inspired gardens and architecture. We loved it! Plus the nature features, there are streams and waterfalls. WE SAW A WILD BOAR. I went into the Pyrenees and didn't even see a wild boar there! So neat. The real star of this park is the labyrinth and it's no joke! I walked in super arrogant, claiming I knew the secret to get out of any maze! Whining that it's barely a maze if you don't get to choose your own path. But 20 minutes later I was still in the maze and real cranky about it. Looking back, it was so fun! It is hard to get a taxi out of the park back to the city though, I'd recommend taking the metro.

I'm just gonna go ahead and forewarn you now; Jareth, the Goblin King does not live here, and it's not his Labyrinth you're getting lost in even if you do say 'the words'. I guess that's why I was getting such odd looks from the locals.... Well, despite all that, this was indisputably the most beautiful place we visited during our stay in Barcelona. We took the Metro to get there, and then it was bit of hike to get to the top of the actual entrance of the Labyrinth. We walked by a school where some young elementary school children were playing outside. Their laughter, and energetic spirit as they waved at us really added a positive note to our journey, and listening to their perfect Spanish at such a young age made me blush because as an adult brought up in a Spanish speaking household; I'm still trying to figure out the language. We paid 2,32 Euro per person to get inside. Words cannot describe how beautifully kept the Labyrinth and the surrounding gardens are. (see the pics I uploaded, you'll understand what I mean) I know it's going to sound tacky, but during my visit to the Laberint d' Horta, everything was good in the world. I felt really relaxed, and at ease, especially with all the surrounding flowers, plants, statues, and waterfalls. Everything was so lush, green, and vibrant; I really just wanted to absorb everything in as much as possible. Yes, I got lost while walking the Labyrinth, but it's definitely part of the fun, and you'll hear when other people get lost too as the nearby chuckles, and giggles can be an indication of what path you should probably avoid. At the end though you are rewarded with a stunning view of..... but I guess you'll have to go and find out :)

One of the most beautiful parks in Barcelona. My friend and I came here after Park Guëll and it was a very peaceful place to get away from the touristy craziness. The park is extremely expansive with many gardens ands buildings located within to explore and photograph. This park is located off the L3 which can take you back to tourism land (Las Ramblas) where you can grab tapas and shop after you've had your fill of nature. Highly recommend! P.s. No admission fee on the Sunday I visted

A great little park which is close to the metro. If you're staying in the Gothic Quarter or central area, I highly suggest taking the metro train. The walk which we chose to do after we had lunch , was supposed to take about an hour as per GPS and ended up being more like 2 and we had some pretty crazy streets to climb. The park once we got to it was very nice. Quiet and away from all the rush of the city. It was nice to take the stroll and decompress from all the hustle. The labyrinth gave us something fun to do and otherwise there are some picturesque areas to enjoy birds and aging architecture. It's free to enjoy Wednesday and Sunday which is also nice.

I think Parc del Laberint d'Horta is Barcelona's best kept secret. We came across Parc del Laberint d'Horta while researching parks in Barcelona on Yelp, and I am so glad we did! This is an 18th century park and is Barcelona's oldest garden. It was a great place to unwind from a few busy days sightseeing and shopping in Barcelona. Parc del Laberint d'Horta is about an hour bus ride out of Barcelona, so I recommend taking a picnic (see note below) and spending the afternoon here. It will also give you enough time to explore the beautiful manicured gardens, bush, hidden walkways, watch the cute turtles in the ponds, admire the waterfall and of course, complete the maze! It reminded me so much of film The Secret Garden. And the best part was that there were very few people there on the day we visited. It truly is Barcelona's best kept secret, in my opinion! Note: You can only picnic outside the gardens, but there are a few picnic benches. There is also a small entrance fee of under 3 euros to get into the park.

Located just a few miles outside Barcelona the Parque del Laberinto de Horta should figure into the schedule of any visitor looking to spend a few days outdoors, a mere 2.23Euro admission fee giving guests full access to the grounds containing many sculptures, a moat and tons of foliage including a fairly complex hedge maze that will see persons of all ages reach mostly dead ends before finally getting to the finish.

Got terribly lost, but boy it was fun.

This park is not only beautiful and off the beaten path from the regular tourist stops, it also features a labyrinth. If you've never experienced being lost amongst a maze of bushes, you must check it out. To me, this park felt like *real* Barcelona. Lots of families having picnics and birthday parties, tons of kids running through and getting lost in the labyrinth, young couples on a romantic stroll through the grounds. We spent a few hours roaming around the park, got terribly lost in the labyrinth and took in the beauty that this park has to offer. If you're a tourist, a visit to this park will require a scooter or rental car. It's well worth the trip.

This should not be included in your 1-3 day itinerary in Barcelona, but if you are here for an extended period of time, you should stop by for a unique experience. The gardens and labyrinth provide a nice escape from the hustle and bustle and tourist side of Barcelona. Con: A bit of a subway ride to reach Tip: Exit subway and walk down to street. Take a left and walk a few blocks. It will be on your left hand side up the hill a bit. There are no clear signs!

Great place! Not too crowded and cool, but it is a little fat away from the center of Bcn.
