The atmosphere is very relaxing (unless a bee flies in and harasses you for half the meal). Every time I come to visit my grandparents in Alsace this is the restaurant that is guaranteed to be visited during my trip. The tarte flambée is crispy and piping hot once it hits the table. Everything works so well together. I know there are other menu options to choose from, but I can't help myself. The only other item on the menu I've tried is the wine and I approve of that as well! If you ever visit France from the states (or anywhere else) come to Alsace you should try tarte flambée and Tannmuhle. They do a rather good job at it. I was very impressed with the baguette. Crispy exterior with a tender interior. It nice flavor even without butter. It was missing the yeastyness of a traditional baguette but I was still thrilled with it. I also got an apple galette which I enjoyed the next day for breakfast. I bought a quick but ruined it while rebating so I can't report on that, but it did look and smell great. I will make an effort to come back here again next time I'm in France. The GF baked goods here are much better than those in the US.
