I never been to this park but I looked in that area and this park looked nice and seemed to have trails for our kids hiking levels. The kids loved this park, amazing trails, not that hard that go inside the woods or along the river. Lots of scenic stops, and lots of fun in general. What made us very happy is that this park ALLOWS DOGS (a big thing in Quebec). The park is also very popular as a fishing spot, or for mushroom pickers. The entry is about 5-7$ pp and there is free parking, you can see all the details and trails on the park site, they are also very friendly (and speak English) over the phone. Overall a well deserve 5 stars !

I used to love this place and go a lot as a teen and young adult. One year I almost drowned,…read moreslipped and was sucked under by the current. Fire and EMT had to use a hovercraft to get to me. In the end I was ok, with minor concussion and lesions but that was the scariest time in my life. I was pinned to the bottom for what seemed like forever, feeling like it was all slipping away to fast, and all i could think about was not being able to pick up my kids on time from their dads. Thank goodness they were not with me that day. No a great place for little kids AT ALL. Just be safe. Mother nature is not one to mess around with. I will give it a 5 because it is a spectacular place, and gorgeous.

During covid they are selling bracelets for accessing the park to be able to guarantee enough safe space for everyone and keep folks healthy. The long rolling falls over smooth granite are just gorgeous. Perfect for picnics, perfect for lounging with your feet in cold water, just perfect for a day trip out of the city.

Our first experience was to get our keys and received Royal treatment from customer service, and got all the explanations, maps needed to make our 1-day camping the most enjoyable. Our site on O-10 was in perfect location, next to the water fountain and proximity to the washroom. Just impressed with the cleanliness of both the unit and the washroom. The camping site was equipped with everything that one would have like to have. Inside was equipped with 4 single beds, dining table, 4 chairs, a wood stove for heating, pots & pans, cutlery, wine glasses. Outside was a gas supplied BBQ, picnic tables and chairs. Even a lamp is provided, as it is pitch black at night, walking to the washroom area. Washroom area was very clean, toilet paper provided and equipped with electrical sockets. There is a separate annexed unit for 2 shower units, with hot water. We did lots of hiking, walking over 10 km and taking nice shots of the most peaceful and picturesque sites. The only thing that one would have to bring is food, bedsheets, pillows, blankets, shampoo, soap and towels. Nothing else. Marshmallows if you want to have a camp fire. Amazing campground to anyone who loves nature, or need to take a break from hectic city life.

They've…read moregot portable water on tap that's very accessible, and the bathrooms are excellent for campsites. The showers are spacious and clean with hot hot water and good water pressure. The bathroom facilities are also equipped with two sinks outside so you can wash dishes. They have some restrictive fishing rules, which is expected of national parks i guess? You have to go early in the morning to sign up for the draw and you get fishing access to one area only. You must also only use firewood purchased from them but it's not that cheap. The welcome centre also has this cute museum that tells you about the geology, history, and fauna of the park. Also, the park staff are super helpful when it comes to advice for hikes and lookout points. When it comes to views, the lookout points are nice, where you get to see the winding lake and the rock formations at the cascade. There were a ton of people at the cascades which kind of takes away from the nature experience, but its a popular park after all. This park is great for campers that like a little more comfort than back country camping!

Some of the spots are fantastic some are a little more cramped you have to know which spots you like or course this way you can rent them out easier when you reserve online. Personally I go after the private because access ones because why not ? I've had nothing but awesome service from the people at the front all tho they close at 6 pm during the week and weekends 8 pm make sure you get your wood early or it could be a cold night. There are several paths, some are more magical than others. The Dog path is also the main one, which is about 6 Km of a wonderful shaded trail so even during a blazing sun and a hot day like today we could enjoy the shade, cool forest smells and not break swat. PERFECT. The trail is a good dirt/gravel road that even a good stroll can pass there and is perfect for running. Bonus there are benches and garbage bins along the trails. So what can I do here except hiking ? There are Geocaches, disc-golf, swimming pool (was still closed), running, outdoor sport, soccer 9there is a field, fishing. Bottom line a wonderful well maintained park that is a great solution for a fun and short nature escape.
