I don't even know where to start and I know I'm not going to be able to write nearly as much as I want bc I have two monsters running around the house (baby boy and a toddler). My husband and I had a great relationship, but somewhere along the way in-between work, responsibilities, kids, and stress, we lost us. We fell into the routine lifestyle. This is a wonderful and difficult review. Wonderful due to Matthew and all that he was able to do for my relationship. Difficult because I'm putting out there the fact that I was in a troubled marriage (some like to keep this under the rug!). However, having Mathew as our coach has been such a positive experience, I wanted to share. My husband refused to go to counseling after our first and only attempt. Matthew is an excellent therapist. He listened to both of us and truly understood where we where coming from and what the root cause of our disconnect was...all that in just the first session. He's very relatable and has a great sense of humor that certainly helped lighten the mood throughout our session, that was much appreciated since one might expect things to be tense or unpleasant. I found Matt online and decided to try him out. I was having some communication issues in my relationship. I am humbled that we have a healthy union but at times, it's hard to see eye to eye. Matt gave us a boost and helped us understand each other. He is great. He arms you with tools to deal with misunderstandings and miscommunications in your marriage. I found Matthew on Yelp and although I use it constantly I'm not one to leave reviews. However, Matthew deserves this and MUCH more. My bf and I of almost 2 years were about to call it quits and if it wasn't for our therapy sessions we probably wouldn't have fixed many issues and miscommunication between us.
