There were 25 students from 1st grade to 4th grade, small classrooms, far less students compared with other private schools out there. There were 1 spelling notebook, 4 textbooks (1 for Math, 2 for English, 1 for science used only couple times) for 4th grade. Now my daughter is in big private school for 5th grade, she loves her new school with many classmates/friends (my daughter did not like Heritage after 2 years here, I made her to stay another 2 years, my mistake. I regret it all the time). Her new school has 10 text books with many different subjects for 5th grade. Heritage taught her 4th grade Math good, but reading & writing here is not good enough for 4th grade. I had to spend a lot money for private tutor to teach her reading & writing since 2024. Heritage told parents to push back 1 grade lower for all elementary students (not good to tell students to detain grade at kindergarten or elementary because this grade level is very easy. It is common for students at other schools to skip or jump grade, not detain grade. I find out all her friends were done with Heritage and now in same new school with her, they all pushed back 1 grade except my daughter). My daughter was old enough (birth date) and good knowledge to be in 4th grade last year, but they put her in 3rd grade at beginning until I made a request to talk to Ms. Shalane that I'll apply my daughter to 5th grade this year (2025), no matter what! All parties, events at Heritage, parents are required to bring food or decorated supplies for class. The tuition is high, lack of teachers (some teachers left Heritage), boring Heritage Montessori school. I'd say Heritage is only good for 2 years old children to 2nd grade students. The good thing about this school is school starts 8:30am for kindergarten to 4th grade, TK and children start 9am. Students at younger age can sleep a lil bit more. Most other schools start 7:50am or 8:00am for TK to 8th grade.

My husband and I toured several places and nothing felt right (I even left one of the places crying!), but when I walked into TLE I immediately felt like that was the right place for my son to be. The staff was welcoming and my son even got to participate in recess with the other kids during our tour. I noticed all of the students seemed genuinely happy, and the staff knew all the kids' names (not just their own students). The facility itself is also extremely clean and well-maintained and has fantastic security measures in place. There are several locked doors and student checks in place to facilitate safe transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as drop-off and pick-up, which was a huge relief for me as well. While I was planning on easing my son (and myself!) into school/work over the course of 2 weeks, the place that I got hired at wanted me to start just 2 days after my interview. The first day drop-off went fairly well, I definitely cried more than my little one, and by the time I made it to my office just 5 minutes down the street from the school, my son's teachers had already sent me updates in the school's app that made me feel instantly better. The app allows us parents to know our kids' daily activities, diaper changes/potty breaks, meals (did I mention those are provided by the school? Complete game-changer for our busy mornings!!), naps, etc. and also allows us to see pictures of our children throughout the day. This has definitely made going back to work soooo much easier for me, and I couldn't be more thankful for technology like this! My son has been in 3 classrooms now as he has gotten older and more advanced, and the teachers he's had along the way (Ms. Yune, Ms. Gissele, Ms. Mayra, Ms. Johan, and Ms. Angie) have all been absolutely fantastic. Not only is he learning new things every single day, but the school also implements super cool activities throughout the year along with dress-up days every Friday. Most days my son doesn't even want to leave school and I have to force him to go home! You know you've hit the jackpot with a great facility when your little one can't wait to go back every day. I couldn't ask for a better place for my son to be at, and my husband and I can't wait to send our future kiddos here as well! Thank you for all you do for our family and our little one, TLE is truly the best!!

Transitions can be tough for little ones, but since starting here in January, the experience has been absolutely amazing. Our girls had such an easy and positive transition, and a huge part of that is because of the incredible staff. From the teachers to the front desk and administration, everyone is so warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in the kids. The entire team creates an environment that feels like family. A special shoutout goes to Ms. Martha, the director -- she is truly wonderful and sets such a positive tone for the whole school. You can tell everyone loves being there, and that energy carries through to the children. My daughters' teachers are amazing and definitely help meet wherever my daughters are at. My oldest is a bit on the shy side and Ms Rocio has been so great in helping support and give her confidence and she's had tremendous progress in such a short time with her writing, letters/sounds and drawing! my youngest daughter is also thriving and loving her teachers Ms Giselle and Ms Mayra. We def feel so grateful and lucky to have amazing teachers! Two of the biggest perks for our family are that all food is provided (which makes mornings so much easier!) and the app that keeps parents connected throughout the day. I receive at least two photos daily of my daughters, which I absolutely love because I get to see what they're learning and experiencing. It gives me such peace of mind. The school also has cameras in every classroom and a very secure setup with double-entry key fob access, which adds an extra layer of safety and reassurance. We truly wish we had found this school sooner, but we're so grateful to be part of this community now. Most importantly, our daughters love going to school every day -- and as a parent, that says everything. We couldn't be happier with our experience here!

Its a nice facility, and they recently updated their playground area. Lots of parking. I've been scoping out this place since I found out I was pregnant and put my daughter on the waitlist for a year. If you know you want to bring your kids here, I suggest doing the same. What sold me was the updated campus, nice teachers, and the prices were reasonable. To me, it's the best value for what you get. All the teachers are super friendly including office staff in front. My daughter often gets compliments by her teachers and staff about how cute she is, and I love it! They've done a couple of events with the parents which I thought was nice, most recent was the ice cream social. They're pretty secure. Parents have to enter through the front office to sign in and can drop off in the classroom by 9am, but after that, you have to leave your kids with the teacher or staff at the front. Same with pickups. You can pickup from the classroom after a certain time. They're pretty strict with sign-in and out and pickup times, otherwise there are fees. I was 5 min late after 6pm, and was charged a $10 late fee so don't be late. I blame the traffic lol. They're also strict with my baby being sick. My daughter is forever sick with a runny nose almost her whole life. I feel so bad for this baby. There were a few times where her eyes were watery, and we had to pick her up within the hour because it could be pinkeye, and we couldn't return without a doctor's release. I would then have to schedule a last minute doctor's visit so I could bring her back which could take several days. They don't do photos here, and there isn't an app but despite that, they do have monthly take home packets with your kid's art / work that I enjoyed looking at. They also do an art gift for Mother's Day / Father's Day / Christmas. Sometimes you can find pictures of them in there or imprint of their hands/feet as part of art. The infant room have a daily sheet with my daughter's food, naps, diaper changes. They are very timely with the diaper changes, every two hours! No issues with diaper rash either. They're really good with applying that on her. She eats all her food and is such a happy baby at school. She loves her teachers and is so happy at drop off and pickup. We plan on keeping her here for the long haul!

She is loving and no nonsense at the same time. That's the best combination of you ask me. The teachers who care and push you to be better at what you do. Before the transition to the Toddler program Mrs. Sheikh paused and ended up recommending a different teacher instead of the originally assigned teacher. She took the time to consider my son's personality and thought about whose teaching style would best suit him and allow him to thrive. This really speaks volumes to the amount of care and thought that goes into each stage of your child's journey at LePort. My son is currently in Ms. Arzate's toddler class. I wanted to take a moment to recognize her and thank her for all that she does. She not only educates our children, but us parents as well, similar to Mrs. Sheikh. The moment that I appreciated the most is when I came in complaining about everything that my son was doing "wrong" and she stopped me and had me reflect on what I was saying in front of my child. During the moment, I wanted to cry and felt like in some way I had failed my son as a Mom. This honest moment, helped me step back and re-evaluate my interactions with my son. I didn't want him to feel bad like he was always doing something wrong, when in fact he's doing really great. I want him to know that I see his progress and that I am really proud of him and that he should be proud of himself. The next day, on the way to pick up our son, my husband and I were talking about my husband's concerned about wet events in public. I thought about the conversation that I had with Ms. Arzate. I said to him that this may be a year long journey and we can't keep our son exclusively at home or school for a full year. I reminded him that originally our son wasn't going to start night potty training until 6-8 weeks of daytime potty training. At two weeks into daytime potty training, Ms. Arzate's already felt that he was ready to start night time potty training. It was quite the accomplishment and I wanted us to recognize that. We ended taking our son out for dinner and at the end of the meal, my son stopped what he was doing and started to say "pee pee". He held it in until I could rush him to the car and peed in his travel potty. Later, before bed, he got up to go to the bathroom. I expected him to wait for me in the hallway or bathroom in the dark. However, he got up on the stool, turned on the bathroom lights then sat and peed in the potty without being prompted. The culmination of all the hard work by the teachers is starting show through. I am in awe and incredibly grateful for the teachers and staff at LePort of the wonderful work they do to prepare our children for the future. Don't let the older facility look fool you into going somewhere that looks newer. It's the teachers, staff and community that make LePort an amazing place that you can trust to send your child.

Ms. Gallo was very informative during the meet & greet and helped eased a lot of my anxieties putting him into a new environment. When he officially started, Ms. Gallo would call and gave updates on how he was doing. Every day after class, she would let us know how his day went and continued to reassure that things would get better. Our son took to her right away. She has been warm, empathetic, and observant of his needs. Over the past couple months, our son has begun to really thrive! He is more confident in himself and very independent. He has taken the skills that he's learned in school and has started generalizing to home. He grabs his plate and utensils when it's meal time. He cleans up after himself when he's done eating. He uses the potty, cleans up, and washes his hands independently. His speech has grown exponentially. He went from speaking in simple sentences with improper grammar and pronoun usage to speaking in complex sentences. It is apparent that his language abilities are really being fostered in class. It is amazing how much he's grown in such a short amount of time. He talks about his friends daily and tells me how much he loves Ms. Gallo. We are so happy that Ms. Gallo is our first teacher and so excited to see how much he'll continue to grow.

This is just a summary of our experience. May yours be better if you choose to go with The Wave. Our son started at The Wave in June 2023 shortly after he turned 2. We previously had him enrolled in a daycare since he was 7 months as we are both working parents. This was our first experience with a preschool and we were enamored with its promise. The Red Room (2 year olds) was full of support: Miss Megan, Miss Debbie, Miss Sherrill. The after school and summer program was amazing: Miss Sharon --who helped us with napping and potty training advice --and Miss Kristi --who always loved on my son --were standouts. We were gracious when our son was bitten (teeth marks and bruise left on his hip) early on into enrollment, but it was because we are understanding that toddlers can be toddlers. We came to every event, supported the book orders, and were genuinely smitten and communicative with our teachers. Being a public school teacher myself, I try to be the parent I wish to have supporting me --one that works as a team in student-centered goals. In fall 2024, things started to go awry. The Yellow Room (3 year olds) had a teacher who left due to starting a family and the position was filled by someone who went to preschool and church at Beachpoint. She was co-partnered with another teacher whose demeanor is quite cold. The majority of the class were girls. As August turned into September, we started getting behavioral reports for our son. We met with the director, Mr. Gabe, and set goals. We were cooperative, but my husband did bring up the point that my son either never had problems prior to this school year's room assignment or were never notified. We believe the latter point struck a nerve with Mr. Gabe as the behavioral forms turned from one a week into one given every day or even multiple times a day. Things that ranged from throwing toys (which we held him accountable for --we are not delusional when it comes to parenting) to playing with the decor (they had used a salt and pepper shaker and turned them into some decorations) and running towards pumpkins. We were called for early pick ups (once we dropped him off at 10:20 after an appointment and were called back to pick him up at 10:57 am) which was a struggle for two working parents to arrange coverage and run to grab our son. We met again with Mr. Gabe and he gave us the opportunity to change rooms mid-October. Miss Bell was a blessing and for two weeks, our son was improving and Mr. Gabe said he "couldn't wait to partner with us." Then, at the end of October, he left us a voicemail to set up another meeting. Conveniently, the end of the month was when our tuition was already paid. He wanted to dismiss our son. Concurrently, Miss Vanessa at the front office had suggested we get our son assessed. I was unclear on what he needed an assessment for, but as a teacher and parent, I wanted to make sure I was cooperative and checked off the efforts. Fountain Valley School District was phenomenal (shout out to their school psych Mr. Justin) and was able to observe our son at The Wave. After much effort (we had to take work off to be on hand for the asssessments), our son did not qualify for autism nor speech delays. It was just further validation that our son was ...a 3 year old boy being a 3 year old boy. I waited almost a year to post this review because I wanted to be able to look back and fairly examine what we went through. I now have the hindsight to understand that I had "dream school" goggles on. I see more clearly now that the school really worked with families that had easy daughters or obedient sons. Mr. Gabe even said, per our dismissal, that his school follows the teachings of "Jesus who goes after every lost lamb" but that unfortunately his school didn't have resources that we needed. I bring this up because in the winter, we enrolled our son at another preschool, and he is THRIVING... and the school has no more resources than The Wave. What they do have are all experienced teachers of 15+years who have huge hearts and patience for littles. I was initially ashamed of being "kicked out" of The Wave, but when I shared everything that we went through, the new school's director just said... "Your son's been on this earth for what...3 years? He's a boy. He's a kid. He's learning!" We haven't had an issue and he'll attend TK there next year. To top it off, some of the Wave teachers still keep in touch with us and after his dismissal, a few dropped off gifts or attended his tball games (in the spring too). It's a conflict of interest as it's their work place, but I think they empathized for our experience and loved our son. It was a hard lesson to learn, but if you are a parent, don't be afraid of your intuition.
