The display cases offer the classic French pastries + croissants. The owner, Gerard Donat from southern France has been in business for 20 years. They were reviewed in the Rocky Mtn News in 2006. His wife, Christelle comes in at 3am to prepare that day's pastries. She is gone by the time Gerard opens the shop at 8am. They are closed Sun & Mon. Prices are reasonable. Contrary to the usual, they prefer cash. Gerard can make coffee drinks with a machine. There are 3 tables inside & 2 tables outside. While here, several groups of people arrived including a woman speaking fluent french and a North African speaking moderate french. I got a chocolate eclair and Latte. Gerard warmed up the eclair in the microwave. It was stuffed with vanilla flavored cream with plenty of chocolate on top. They offer 9 different quiche + cookies and macaroons. I got an Alsacian quiche for myself + 2 eclairs abd a cannoli for a friend to take home.

I was informed by one of the staff when i asked about it. I have only had the chance to try the pan de muerto. It is fresh, has a pillowy texture, brioche style bread but not too sweet with orange zest and anise. Perfect with tea or coffee! I know the others will be just as delicious as are all their baked goods. It seems to be almost like soda bread (not biscuit; not cake) with raisins, coconut, and chocolate drizzled on top and not too sweet. My receipt said 'galletas' so I guess it's a cookie. All of these would be amazing with breakfast or an afternoon coffee. I was really surprise when I paid to find out that each of these items were priced so low (like $2 each!!). Wowza!
