Success on that score, but all too brief. Unfortunately, the venue was terrible. This place is obviously interested in collecting as many admissions fees as possible, and unconcerned about the safety of its patrons. The music area was jam packed, with standing room only, and people were literally pressed into one another to the point that it was not only impossible to move, but also difficult to breathe. . And the box office was still selling admissions! Apparently, there's no fire code here. It's super uncomfortable, but if you don't have a loved one to press your body up against, maybe this place is your cup of tea. My group left after about 15 minutes. Bottom line: great music, safety hazard, super uncomfortable and nerve-wracking. Do not recommend.

We got there early to line up, but were told by someone to wait across the street, which made things a bit confusing from the start. Once inside, there wasn't much direction or signage about where to go for the stage or where the band would actually be performing. We ended up upstairs kind of waiting around without clarity. When we finally found a spot, the view was pretty obstructed. People would stop on the stairs to watch, which ended up blocking anyone behind them, and the overall setup just didn't feel as smooth or well-organized as we expected (keep in mind this venue is mainly underground). That said, the music itself was great and the energy on the dance floor made it fun once things got going. The location--right by Notre-Dame Cathedral--also adds to the experience. Not perfect, but still a memorable night.

Who could ask for more?…read more This little art studio and outside restaurant/bar is unassuming but the perfect getaway to recharge and enjoy the sites of the grand palais and to people watch on the seine- all of the river cruises. I sat here alone with a bottle of champagne for under €70 and enjoyed a few hours of quiet while looking at the Grande Palais. It is a great mix of calmness with a gentle rockin of the Seine beneath you and the hustle and bustle of Paris on Quoi d'Orsay and cours la reine. I look forward to coming here again with friends. Upon arrival, the hostess advised us to go upstairs since they had no record of our reservation. It wasn't busy at 7:30 pm, so we were hopeful. However, the host upstairs seemed to be on a power trip. When we explained our situation, he dismissively said he would decide whether we could stay, and when he finally gave us a table, he condescendingly asked, "Happy now?" Fortunately, our server was amazing and helped improve our mood. The cocktails and food were enjoyable, but the view was the real star of the show. As we were leaving and dancing to the music, the same host walked by and sarcastically remarked, "Wow." I'm not sure if being judgmental is part of their brand persona, but it was a significant turn-off for an otherwise memorable evening.

However the restaurant did give out blankets to the patrons sitting outside which was a nice touch. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I couldn't get enough of the goat cheese dish. I would've never thought to caramelize eggplant, and now I'm forever changed. I'm not huge steak fan, but it felt right to get steak and fries while in Paris. It did not disappoint. The steak was cooked well and the fries were delicious. I got the cheesecake for dessert and it was honestly the best cheesecake I've ever had. So creamy and the perfect portion. Bonnie is a wonderful restaurant that embodies upscale dining. I recommend if you're looking for a nicer dining experience with a beautiful view of the city.

The service was excellent as well: attentive, friendly, and conducted with the sort of effortless grace one hopes to encounter in a proper bar. While enjoying our drinks, we struck up a conversation with a gentleman named Harry. He recommended that we visit a place called Mike's, which amused us greatly. We had a good laugh, turned toward the menu, and began selecting another round. When we looked back, Harry had vanished. In his place sat a gentleman named Mike. We decided not to ask too many questions and ordered another drink. Harry's offers a wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, and cocktails with enough strength to make even the most reserved Englishman contemplate writing poetry. It is an ideal place for an evening drink in Paris--provided you keep an eye on your companions, particularly if they introduce themselves as Harry.
