Jan/12 I purchased a 14 carrat white gold ring (It was an engagement ring priced just over 1100…read moredollars with the diamond.) We took diamond out, put my birthstone in, traded some gold and cash. Value wise the ring was still at least $500 (I can't remember exactly off-hand.) March/12: one of the diamonds came out. I took it back- he fixed it under warranty. Less than 2 months after that...another diamond popped out. ... I took it back, and after being told by his very rude wife who also works there that I must "abuse my jewellery" (she was rude to both my mom and myself) he eventually fixed it under warranty. in July (less than 5 months after that last break and the ring still being less than 7 months old in total) the MAIN stone came out. I called... and once again was told by Mrs Jeweller that I abuse my jewellery and it ended up actually being an argument. I also live over half hour from paris so I informed her I would bring it in when I was in the neighbourhood next and I expected it to still be fixed under warranty. A s it worked out, I dropped the ring off sometime after that but did not end up picking it up until late October/Early November. The stone in it was significantly smaller, and a different shape than the original, however, I didn't mind. 3 weeks ago (Jan/13) I noticed my claws were catching on everything. Upon closer inspection I noticed one was bent, and the other was broken. Keep in mind: the ring is still ONLY one year old... and the "head" and claws were just replaced/repaired in the fall.) I sought advice from 2 other jewellers who confirmed the claws were damaged (one broken and one bent.) they also both went on to say that the diamonds were not properly aligned, being channel set should NOT be wearing out or popping out, the head is not properly centered and overall the quality of work was quite poor and would require appoximately 150 bucks to fix PROPERLY... one jeweller encouraged me to return to Fine Gold stating he didn't really want to fix it as he felt they should take responsibility and offer a better guarantee on their work. So back I went... He handed me a beat up, scratched, poor quality jewellers magnefying glass/eye ... and argued stating that the claw was not broken. He said its "worn out." "its not broken." I told him that I had confirmed that it was broken with another jeweller, and told him the quoted price to fix it properly and he stated "well you will pay to fix it here too." I said "no I wont you have fixed it 3 times already and I do not trust you." he replied "You haven't even heard my price." he repeated that it wears out, at least 3 times. He could not answer me and kept stating "no one can say how long it takes to wear out" when I asked how long jewellery/heads/claws should "last" given that the age is only a year old... he refused to admit or address the fact that in one year this is the 4th time the ring has required attention/repair. he continuously stated that gold is a soft substance and wears out....I asked if he gets a lot of jewellery in for repair and he snapped "this is none of your business! why you asking me such questions?" He then began rushing me out of the store as it was time to close. He was rude, informed me "I do not need your life story do you want you ring fixed or not" when I attempted to discuss with him that I have never had a problem with any jewellery. His wife was laughing at the argument. This is basically where it ended as I left the store and went back to another jeweller- to pay- to get the ring fixed PROPERLY. ... interesting that the claw are not "broken" but the other jeweller was able to remove the stone with his bare fingers. Also worth noting is that FINE GOLD made a ring for my mother: he made it the wrong size. When she complained, he put some sort of metal wraps on it as it was "easier than resizing it" which irritates her finger- looks really quite awful, and has scratched her other ring. She had a diamond reset: and the claws on HER ring are now bent less than a year later. STEER CLEAR!!!!!!

Buyer beware. I went to Mary's fine jewelry and purchased a few pandora charms (not on sale). Later…read morethat week I went back for something else and I overheard the sales associate telling a customer not to purchase the pandora charms she wants until Dec. 7th as that is when they will have a free bracelet promotion. I had asked if I could return my items for store credit and repurchase them with the free bracelet promo as the charms I purchased earlier in the week we are for a Christmas gift and this would be perfect. They informed me they can give me store credit for the items I purchased however, I cannot use their store credit towards Pandora promotions. Which is ridiculous as you can even do this at Pandora but not an independent retailer? Anyways bottom line if you are going there for Pandora charms skip this place and order online or go to a mall with a Pandora store. I for one will never support this place again as I do not agree with their business practice of telling their "friends" who come in about upcoming sales but, new people in town will get screwed by them.

I had received several (4) different white gold diamond rings (engagement, wedding, birthdays and…read morebirth rings) in to have them create one ring. What they created was absolutely fabulous and the cost was reasonable as well. FYI - since my knuckle was larger than the finger I requested they size to my knuckle and then add by soldering a "U" inside the ring so that it sat perfectly on my finger and didn't slide right or left on my finger. This worked and still works great. I suggest anyone who has problems with fingers that swell or increased knuckles compare to your base of your finger try this. It works for me! The saleslady listened and the creator of my ring was great. I would recommend this store for any repairs or consolidating several rings in to one ring you could wear daily.
