I sent in my check and ID cards (with the pen that was already in the carrier) and waited a few minutes for them to get done talking amongst themselves. Then they send the carrier back saying I have to fill out a deposite slip. Which the teller has always done for me downtown. So I get the carrier with the deposit slip and the pen has been taken out. So I send the carrier back in for the pen and wait *** a few more minutes *** for them to ask what do I need now? Looks like my business will be moving soon...

For example, I was hung up on when I called about a lost card, fees have increased, and the representatives are less helpful and courteous. When I deposited a personal check from my mother (who lives in Wisconsin and banks with US Bank), they made us wait over a week to receive the funds! In my opinion, the benefit of using a credit union is that it's a smaller, community-based institution that treats you like a person by providing great customer service and being helpful and friendly. This is not the case at Heartland.
