They have a wonderful selection, there is literally something for everyone here. The exposed brick wall and open workshop give Fawcett's its own hands-on personality. The goldsmith, Blaine, welcomed me kindly and was very helpful in giving me the shop scoop. While the show room displays mainly engagement rings, formal bands and the like, the business is built on custom designed jewelry. Everything is made right here in the shop, behind a wall divider, so as the goldsmith works, you can roam the shop and see him go. Its a different experience, and I liked it. The jewels are too rich for my blood, but maybe some day. Blaine mentioned that they were branching out with some newer and lower price range product, so don't let price stop you from going in for a peek. I obviously didn't work as closely with them as he did, but in my dealings with them since then they have been nothing but polite and sincere - I think they like my ring even more than I do! Re-sizing was free and we are now working on designs for a band to go with my ring. The only thing I can't comment on here is price - my guy refuses to disclose what he spent, but I would imagine it was a lot based on the quality of the stones and the gold work. Pricing is not for the faint of heart, but what you get is quality and craftsmanship. There is no rhodium plating here - you get the real deal. The customer service is also excellent, particularly when contrasted with the service of chain stores.

Instead of the employee looking at other Charm stores in the HRM to see if our size was available, She recommended they just send them out to be resized. They did not absorb this cost but charged us $50,00 a ring after the fact. As if it was our problem they have no inventory and did not see if other stores could fit us. I almost felt like like because we wanted simple and have no interest in spending a ton of money in a generic store, we were wasting their time. My husband was looking to purchase me a gift there with the rings. He was looking at the watch selection. After his experience he went else where. I love my very expensive watch he bought somewhere else where he was treated fairly. We will not revisit this store again.
