Mike, the Mgr at Sherwin-Williams, worked his magic. On the third try I took a gamble on a whole gallon of paint. And he nailed it. In fact, now I like Mike's color better! And it's half the price. He steered me in the direction of an exuberant, almost-purple, exterior paint color, too. And today he guided me in choosing the best shade of "haint blue" for the front porch ceiling - to keep wasps from building nests (they think it's the sky) and to calm restless spirits. He suggested we go outside and look at the sky and view the color samples in natural light. Found the perfect one. Mike has a very keen sense of color. And he listens carefully. Thanks to Mike, I'm going to be very happy inside and outside my new house.

The kid on the phone was rude, uninformed and would be unemployed if he ever treated any of our clients like he did me yesterday. I was to get a call back. Didn't happen. Hirschfields has taken down their Facebook page. Anyone want to guess why. I knew Bud Hirschfield when I was younger. He'd never run this place thus way.

Now less than a year later I wrote them that the replacement pair has the same issues - cracked rubber on the uppers, cracked all the way through and no longer water proof. Today March 11, 2023 they told me the boots have a one year warranty. I am within the one year warranty but they do not want to honor the warranty saying the warranty started on my original purchase. I feel the warranty should start when the replacements arrived for the defective original pair. They were very sarcastic and belittling in their correspondence with me. The boots are Frog Toggs and junk. The Godfrey's True Value Hardware store is junk too. Beware as they do not stand by what they sell or the warranties they claim to give. Steve

I didn't look at clothing or shoes, but checkout the housewares and non clothing items. They had a couple aisles of home décor/kitchen items/books, and a couple aisles of games/pictures/craft items. The best part was the prices! I got a couple candlesticks - someone painted red over brass candlesticks (I'll be removing that) - for $1 each! I also picked up a couple 2021 cooking magazines for .25 each. Note: I also discovered that Bearly Used Thrift Store is one of the 3 retail stores in town that the The Hubbard County DAC owns and operates. The entire bundle was the wrong color, even though the wrapping said Forest Brown. I called the guy we worked with at Home Depot and sent him the picture of what we received. He agreed it was wrong and handled getting it returned to the store. Apparently before the product would be returned, a Fiberon Representative needed to come out and see the problem. One week later, he showed up. Saw the color was wrong (told us incorrectly the product had been discontinued 7 years ago) One more week later the boards and hardware were finally picked up and returned to the Baxter Home Depot. The total we had paid them for this product was 3,279.49. We received a partial refund two weeks later for 1,712.33. We called the store a number of times, at some point we were told they held off a total refund because they thought we were going to reorder. This is late May. We already lost our contractor due to this long delay. We were told we would not receive a full refund until Home Depot was refunded the money from Fiberon. There was no way we were going to pay another large amount of money to order another product from them, then pay interest on a credit card on a refund we should have gotten since they had picked up the product. We decided to just go ahead and finish the old deck since now its full outdoor season and we needed to get things ready and enjoy our space. after several weeks and no additional refund we finally talked to the store manager. They seemed concerned about how this had been handled. Ha guess they thought a refund of 443 should placate us. Today, June 16, the supervisor from Home Depot left a message that the final payment was paid. That was for a whopping 351.00. We have a problem here. They still owe us , 1,223.00!!!!!! We will never ever step foot into another Home Depot store again. What kind of rinky dink kind of place would have such terrible customer service. No apology, no action no nothing except to drag getting us refunded for this long.
