It is located in downtown Hillsdale at the town center. The original station house is here that was built 1870 as the terminus and headquarters of the New Jersey and New York Railroad. At the platform area, there is some seating under cover. There is also a ticket vending machine and you can also purchase tickets on the NJ Transit App before boarding the train. The station has one track and one low-level side platform. Permit parking is available, operated by the Borough of Hillsdale. There are also a dozen non-permit spaces available on a first-come first-served basis for $5 a day. I would not recommend parking anywhere else as the city seems to be pretty strict about revenue generation. Right next to the station building are some one hour parking spaces for dropping off and picking up. Today, the train only stopped for a minute or so. If there's no one waiting, it will be even less than that. They will not wait for you if you're running for the train. An overhead announcement indicates the imminent arrival of the train.
