This is one useless daycare. Please dont send your kids to this daycare. Everyday they keep complaining on your kid. He did this, he did that etc. They can't even take care or engage 1 active kid of mine for just 2.5hrs everyday. Finally they said my kid is a mad guy and asked us to go for therapy. If you want your kids not to be called as mad please dont opt for this after-care. Moreover they keep sending you emails for donations though you pay them fees every month. Please dont opt for this day care. Its waste of time and money.

The ASB activities aren't as fun as you would think since they kinda make it for kids coming into 6th grade, but overall this school is okay with it's teaching just not the counselors. Of course even more biased because I have been on the PTA here for the last 10 years. Gotta put a plug in for the PTA....but they work hard to make sure our staff and kids get 100% support! Mr. T set high standards for this school and with our new principal Mr. Lee he has even set the bar higher. They have both done an extremely awesome job with the school. We have a lot of activities that we do for the kids from our money making Fall Festival, Spring Jog-a-thon, Family Movie Nights, Family Dance, etc. Casa Mira View across the street is a tremendous assistant financially to our school. Perfect place to live so the kids can walk right across the street. Our PTA supports an awesome art program through Art Corps. This allows the kids to learn 8 fantastic art lessons which we then present at the end of the year at our Art Show. With the support of our PE program headed by Mr. Kaneko the PE also helps fund our Swim Program. Grades 3-5 take part in a twice a week swim program for 6-8 weeks in the Spring. Our 5th graders get a one week full of fun before their promotion in June that 2 of my 3 have the pleasure of enjoying. I literally take my child to school every morning at 7:15-7:18AM routinely through the drive through drop off patiently waiting for the gates to open for the solar panel parking. The Principle Regina Serbin rushes out to my truck YELLING "You can't be waiting in this line UNTIL 7:30AM when the gates open because you're blocking my staff from the parking lot" First of all HOW am I blocking the staff when the staffs cars I am blocking have already parked? This would not be a problem if they opened up the solar panel parking earlier for SAFER drop offs into the school. I didn't make a fuss so i said okay sure, what time can I start lining up? She says, "7:30AM when the gates open." Does she want everyone to START getting in line @ 730?! Like school starts 745AM people are gonna be late going to school, and driving through to WORK and cause traffic on the main street road - IT GETS DANGEROUS. i've asked all the traffic stop ladies in the morning when this gate opens up and where I can wait for drop offs, and everyone gives me A DIFFERENT ANSWER. The SECOND she tells me off that I cant park and wait in line to drop my child off, I drive ALL THE WAY AROUND and park on the STREET and then I see MORE people start waiting in the drop off line at 7:20AM, she does NOT say a WORD to them nor make them drive around UNTIL 7:30AM. If this is a problem SHE needs to be outside all morning regulating the traffic. - WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING 2 LANES (1 for buses and 1 for driving into the solar panel parking to drop your kids off. IF YOU CANT WAIT IN LINE UNTIL 7:30 ON THE DOT?? Every morning parents use the bus lane to drop their kids off QUICKLY, to avoid the CRAZY exit traffic from this school, they do not stop parents who park on the red curbs for drop offs (ALL OF THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE disfunctional management) OH be careful driving through the solar panel parking lot, your cars suspension will literally EAT every single hole & bump and cause you problems, don't know why this is taking so long to fix, and getting OUT from the solar panel parking is a NIGHTMARE. NO ONE to regulate the flow of traffic, you have parents fighting over getting out and going through the entire dirt field to EXIT the gates. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS FOR OTHER PARENTS. Fortunately this will be my child's last year here at Walker Elementary School.

The director, teachers, and staff genuinely care about the children and their families, and it shows in everything they do. The curriculum is engaging and well-rounded, and my son absolutely loved going to school every day. This rating is specifically for the drop off and pick up situation at Mason. The system was broken…read morebefore covid and unfortunately even with designated areas and less students on the campus, it has not gotten any better. The drop off and pick up situation is dangerous at best. Just to put it into context, a child was hit by a car leaving the school last year. There is not adequate parking, most zones around the school are marked red so you can't park there, and no one (including staff and law enforcement) are on the same page about where you can and cannot pull up to pick up your child. I have had my child enrolled in other schools and it was ran so much more smoothly and safely than this school. There is no accountability and children are released haphazardly off school grounds.
