Going in to Parker & DuFresne, P.A. was Quite intimidating given the fact I had never dealt with any lawyer let alone dealt with any legal matters. We Set an appointment with Chip Parker, so we were extremely nervous given this was our first time in a lawyers office.But the receptionist was so friendly I'm not sure if she could tell that I was nervous but something about how friendly she was calmed me down some. Then moments later Mr. Parker come out and welcomed us into his office. Like any normal person who who's filing bankruptcy I instantly had my guard up because filing bankruptcy seemed like a failure (at least to me).Like I had failure at being a responsible adult or something. When I decided to talk with someone about filing Chapter 13 after a relationship break up, I knew I wasn't going to use a $200 bulletin board Attorney - I had a lot to lose and I needed the most knowledgeable firm I could find. Heading into chapter 7 in your 60's is an unsettling experience. I am happy I found Parker and Dufresne to help me through this tense time in my life.
