This office has become too busy, so there's inadequate care & attention to patient needs & they lack the time to answer any questions. Feels more like an assembly line than a health care professional's office. As a large family, we have given this office repeated chances to improve, but after Dr Chad confused my case w another patient's, we decided it was too risky to return. Dr. Parker gets an A+. His staff is confused, inaccurate and uncaring. They don't communicate with each other so that when you think you have something resolved you discover another staff member has botched the situation. They frequently don't answer the phone during business hours. They have a robot call repeatedly with a long message to remind you of your appointments. I had been going to Parker Dentistry for almost 4 years. I was convinced to replace my old metal cavities to the white composite, by Dr. Chad (mistake) during this time I began to work on my upper left and bottom right. I went into to get the bottom right done and the dental tech numbed the wrong section- UGH. then I started to notice tightness between my teeth and my floss would shred and had asked about it a few times at a few visits, but I was told nothing, but the typical. I now see a new dentist and was told I have 5 areas that Dr. Parker had replaced, had overhangs that caused tightness and each will need to be done over to remove the excess left between the teeth, I have one tooth drilled to the root and partially filled, with exposed roots that now giving me pain. Due to my insurance I can only replace these every 2 years and now I have to comeout of pocket, due to faulty work. I'm so frustrated, I believe compensation is in order to make things right or fix your work. read more

About two years ago now I went to Parker Dentistry. I had not been seen in a long while and frankly I could have died with the neglect of my teeth. Dr. Parker was kind and very thorough. I ended up with crowns, root canals, and an implant. They are so good. Everything done right there and in one appointment. Except the implant of course but still quicker than any other place I truly believe. To say I was amazed is an understatement. It would have been miserable anywhere else. I recommend them to anyone. They probably saved my life and they were so kind when I lost my husband suddenly near the end of treatment. They worked out the insurance changes and finished my work. Dr. Chad is the best!! Even his office is closed you can count on him during emerygency times. He's really great taking care of his patients, very knowledgeable and efficient during the visit. Dr. Parker - my dentist, and his staff are the nicest people I've ever been to. They are the only people that got me to go get my teeth cleaned every six months. You're probably thinking I'm a Yuck Mouth - unless you also have a phobia like I do. But I've never had any cavities until my five year dentist boycott, so I figured I was fine, and I'm a sonic care fanatic since 1998. Hey, no cavities for 36 years is a VERY good track record! Long story short - getting a dental implant from any dentist that my mom picks out is a BAD move (but she paid for it, so I didn't have much of a choice). I found Dr. Parker on Yelp and decided to get my teeth checked out, since I was grinding a lot. Um, after the boycott, I had some cavities... I don't know how I do these things, when they're supposed to be impossible (as stated by my dentist), but I do. Apparently, my mouth is at war with my night guard. I paid $500 to get this new kind of night guard that snaps in, is small and only goes on the bottom front of your teeth and CANNOT be pushed out with your tongue. Guess what? My tongue did it. Then my teeth helped my tongue to chew it up and then my mouth spit it out. How does this happen? I can't even replicate this when I'm awake!! Plus, since my teeth are so small, they had to enlarge the night guard to cover six teeth instead of four. So that should have been extra "can't spit it out" protection, right? So I bring it in for the dentist to look at. If I had to pay another $500 - I wasn't going to get another night guard. Every single one I ever always gets lost and I have to spend 30 minutes each morning looking for it. I bring it in, and it's been chewed perpendicular to how it goes onto your teeth (again - HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN??!!). So it now cuts my gum when I try to wear it (not that I've worn it after the chewing incident). So the dentist, Dr. Parker (who is awesome), shaves the "ouchy" parts down, and sees if it will stop cutting my gum and snap back in. It doesn't. I guessing my teeth had a secret conference with the rest of my mouth and decided that they would do whatever they could to keep the night guards out. Well, they won. But Dr. Parker is so awesome that he offers to make me a new one - and since my teeth are so small, he can make one that fits over the top front teeth instead of the bottom. That is super nice, since these things are not covered by insurance. So it takes about two weeks for the lab to send the new night guard. And I go pick it up. It fits, and while I'm there, I try my hardest to push it out. Can't do it. So I'm thinking, "Yay! Finally, no more headaches!". Since I've been grinding my teeth for a while, and getting headaches. I wear it for two nights w/o any problems (chapped lips maybe, but that's all). The third morning. It's gone. AGAIN. I guess it took my mouth some time to strategize since this was new. So I have to bring it in again during my next cleaning. I haven't worn it since, since I didn't want to chew it all up again. I randomly decide to try it on last night. Now it doesn't fit. My teeth shifted slightly. So I have to bring it in again. But I do believe that Dr. Parker can fix it and if not, he's already shown me that he makes good on promises. This a the best dental practice to go to - highly recommended. And sealant for adults is only $40 per tooth. To get back at my teeth, I will get sealant whenever a tooth may be need it every dental cleaning. I only needed four. So it was inexpensive too! And Yuck Mouth no more! I still love my Sonic. If only I could get a real Sonic Screwdriver - now that would be awesome (massive Geek points to those that know what I'm talking about!). read more

A superb dentist. Chad Parker is a super dentist and he has a wonder technical and administrative staff. I had a growth on the roof of my mouth and was referred to an oral surgeon. Dr Parker personally followed up with the oral surgeon. I want to especially thank Pam the hygienist for not only teeth cleaning, but always checking the blood pressure and lymph nodes. I have been going to Dr. Parker since I was 4 years old - almost 25 years! Over the years, he has always been friendly, interested in my life and my family (the whole family still sees him too), and super gentle. Not a single dental procedure has ever hurt. His hygienist Pam and receptionist Rita have also been there for ages and take good care of me too. Rita will remember me the moment I call or walk in, Pam always remembers which areas are sensitive and takes special care to be gentle, and Dr. Parker always gives me a secret handshake and jokes with me. My siblings and I have actually fallen asleep in the chair during procedures because it is such a relaxing and painless process. Unlike going to the doctor, I actually look forward to seeing everyone at Dr. Parker's office. I first went to Dr. Chad a few years ago, I had my wisdom teeth removed by another dentist and they left some tooth in and it wouldn't stop bleeding throughout the night. Dr. Chad saw me for an emergency appointment and was able to fix my issue. I switched dentists to him because he is a great guy and ultimately the best at what he does. Every procedure I have had has been quick, he works with insurance for you and makes it as cheap as possible. I absolutely hate going to the Dr., But Dr. Chad is the best Washington has to offer. Right off the bat the ladies at the front counter were nice, the dentist was awesome and told me straight up what he could do for me as far as anything that needs to be done on my teeth, and have it done in a timely fashion. There is no other dentist out there who can make you feel great again and take away any fear of dentist. I had really a childhood trauma from Germany and the U.S. regarding visits to the dentist. No matter where I was prior or had to use as a dentist, I always was sick to my stomach and I dreaded going to get my teeth taken care of, cleaned and checked on. Luckily I found Chad Parker through my girlfriend, and they knew about my fear. Long story short: Sonce I go there, had major dental work done I am fearless when it is about dentist visits. His staff, from the front office to dental hygienist to the actual doc - these guys are top notch. Friendly, helpful, calm and reassuring everything will be fine. Yes, he even helped me after hours on his day off knowing I had to fly out the next day to an important appointment - They are walking the walk, the whole nine yard, the indeed extra mile to make you feel comfortable and healthy and good again. I went even so far that I acknowledged Doc Chad Parker in my book I wrote when I had severe pain and he literally took it away so I could focus to get my book done and published. My husband and I have been going to see Dr Chad Parker almost since we moved to Tacoma WA 5 years' ago. Both Chad and his dad co-own and run their dentist practice in University Place WA. Dr Parker was highly recommended by the Company that was doing our dual pane windows at the time (about 4 years' ago), and said such good things about them that we wanted to give them a try. My husband has had Dr Bill Parker work on his dental needs a few times, but I've always had his son, Dr Chad Parker, attend to my dental needs. Both men are excellent dentists, and their dental practice is very well set up (for example, it's the 1st dental office ever where we are able to get crowns done and installed in 1 quick visit, so that is amazing)!
