After our regular dentist was unable to complete a tooth extraction so she referred us to Evergreen. I called after office hours and left a message that we were hoping to get in the next day. In my voicemail I mentioned my dental insurance provider At 7 am the next day we got a text message that they were open and had same day appointments available and to call when we were up and ready to chat. When I called to confirm the appointment they already had looked into our insurance and we were in network! They were able to fit me into the schedule, and thanks to a cancellation, I had the procedure done the very same day as my consultation. The doctor recommended removing just one tooth, believing it was the source of all the pain -- and he was right! He saved me from having another tooth removed unnecessarily, which I truly appreciated. Everyone took the time to answer all of my questions and address my concerns, so I felt completely at ease going into the procedure. I did my consultation with Dr. Wightman and he explained everything thoroughly. I scheduled for my wisdom teeth to be removed on the day Dr. Slovan was working and everything went way better than I expected. My prescription was sent right away with no problems afterwards. I decided to go with Evergreen initially because I went around to different dental offices to receive quotes on the cost of my wisdom teeth removal and I received pricey quotes. Had my left side of my Wisdom teeth removal here and the whole process went smooth and superb. All the staff in the facility is super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They made sure I was comfortable with the appointment and allotted the perfect time slot for me. I was put asleep with general anesthesia. Naturally I'm just full of anxiety but they made sure to help me calm down by giving me some anxiety meds before hand. The bestest part of this experience was that they let you leave with ice cream (they have strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla Hagen-Daz), as well as a kit and some instructions for you to help your healing process. It included gauze pads, syringe to clean the area of extraction, then you have to pick up the pain meds at the pharmacy near you. Another thing is they call you to check up on you which is pretty sweet. I highly recommend this place. read more

I was given a consultation for my wisdom teeth. The assistants and everyone else were quite nice. Though I expressed my anxiety and concern for being put under, as I have never done it. And while very rare some people can die from being put under. I didn't want it unless absolutely necessary. When I expressed this I was simply told "no, you want to be put under." I ended up going to another oral surgeon, who listened to my concerns, made me feel comfortable and gave me plenty of options. I got my teeth removed while awake, as I asked, and had no issue. I was very glad to find another place willing to listen to me and make it a comfortable experience. Evergreen May very well be a good place to go, as long as you're comfortable going under. read more

I got my wisdom teeth taken out in the summer of 2021 (it's now fall 2024) and they were super fast and helpful. They also let me keep the teeth they took out that didn't break during the procedure which was super amazing. The reason i'm just now leaving a review is because every year since i've gotten them taken out, they've sent me a message on my birthday just wishing me a happy birthday and i think that's super cool. I agree with most of the comments. The office is nice and so are the staff. The problem I have is I realize my husband didn't have insurance so we would have to pay the whole thing. He was getting dentures and needed some bottom teeth to be removed. I believe it was 7 teeth. The whole procedure lasted maybe an hour. Guess what we were charged? $6500. Yes that's right 6 thousand 5 hundred dollars. How do they sleep at night charging people that ridiculous amount of money for that amount of time. I am in the wrong business. Where do they come up with this price? How do you justify that amount of money for what was done. As you can see I'm not a happy camper. We worked hard for our money and to see it all gone is disheartening. read more

For my first meeting I met Dr. Whitman about a tooth extraction. The staff were so friendly, sweet, and caring. The Doctor was compassionate like you would not believe and really helped me understand the process, and work through my anxiety. My appointment was made for the actual surgery. Plot twist my tooth gets worse before they could treat me. This staff bent over backwards to get me meds to ensure my now access tooth was treated with meds -also working throughout the day to help ensure I got meds beforethe weekend and got me an earlier appointment with Dr Slovan- since Dr. Whitman would have been at the farther location that day. Dr. Slovan was just as kind, knowledgeable, approachable and really did a great job. In the end, they helped with next steps, even wheeled me out with a care bag that included so much including ice cream! They even already had my meds sent to the Pharmacy and ensured my procedure was easy and pain free. Also, even before surgery day I was very clear on my financial obligation and there were no surprises. I cannot say enough. They really cared for me as a person as If I was a close family member. changed my whole outlook on dental experiences. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this office. I don't know if they couldn't perform my surgery or were just trying to do a money grab. I went to this oral surgeon because I had a root canal that failed twice with the same tooth and it had become infected. I had already seen my regular dentist and I was in a great deal of pain and wanted to have the tooth pulled. My dentist agreed since it was a back tooth and not critical. My dentist referred me to an oral surgeon that was not able to see me for a couple of days, so I went to this office because of the good reviews on Yelp. Most of the staff was very nice, except the person who took xrays. I met with the dentist and he was very nice and personable. My insurance was going to cover pulling the tooth except for $75. The dentist told me he saw a shadow on my x-ray that could be just a hole, or might be something he would need to remove and biopsy. I was thankful he was being so proactive. Then I met with the staff to go over treatment costs. The office told me that my insurance would pay for the services except for $62. Then they told me that I needed to pay over $700 upfront "in case" the insurance company did not pay! I have NEVER had to pay upfront when the insurance company agrees and authorizes that they will pay for services. I don't have over $700 right now and asked if they would pull my tooth because I was in pain. The staff said they would have to get confirmation from the insurance and that would take 1-2 weeks and that I would have to wait for the confirmation or pay $700! I said fine, I'll have to wait and made the appointment for 2 weeks away. I would NEVER trust an office that does this. FYI, I was able to see the original oral surgeon 2 days later and have the tooth pulled. The appointment, including additional x-rays and pulling the tooth took 40 minutes and cost $75. read more

So, I had a large growth in the roof of my mouth. It was so big that it affected my speech. I had a referral from my dentist that was 16 months old because lumps and oral surgery is ALWAYS really scary. I finally made the call. Evergreen Oral Surgery was not familiar with my insurance but after they called them, everything was cool and they accepted it. At the worst, the consultation would have cost 120.00 out of pocket. Seriously not bad. I was able to get an appointment for the following day! What luck! No week or two of waiting and nerves. I went in and Dr. Wightman didn't yell at me for waiting six looonnng years. He said they can remove it. The nurse took me into the office and wrote up an estimation. With my basic dental insurance it would cost me 430.00 out of pocket plus all of my basic 1500.00 plan. Cool! I asked her kinda of as a joke if they had an appointment for the following day...because of my nerves you know. They did have an appointment for the very next day and I took it. I went in, they put me to sleep, then I woke up to strawberry ice cream and no large mass in the roof of my mouth. The thing is, I didn't feel over drugged, sick or in any pain. They have Haggen Das ice cream too! I was sent home with the appropriate medication, received the appropriate follow up call to check on my care and my follow up appointment was just fine. What I really love about the place was the estimated cost up front. Yes, it may be my health, it's also my wallet and I have to be able to afford the care. Evergreen Oral Surgery is a very clean and caring place. If you have to see an oral surgeon...go here. read more

So, there's this one time when my 12 pound Miniature Pinscher bit my mouth, leaving a huge gash perpendicular to the upper lip line. (I know what you're thinking: "how did you let a tiny dog bite your lip?!" Look, it's complicated, and I'd like to not cast blame. And let's not ask the wife about it either, as I'm pretty sure she's biased in favor of the dog...but I digress...) Anyway, I called up Dr. Wightman and asked whether I should just go to the emergency room. Worried that they might not be able to make the scar line up properly, he had me come over to his office. Apparently, stitching up cuts across lip lines is notoriously tricky if you're not used to working on that part of the face. (This was on a Saturday afternoon, by the way.) So I went over to see him and he stitched up the gash. However, if I'm honest, I have mixed emotions about the results. Why you ask? Well, because the surgery was almost TOO good. I mean, you can't even see the scar at all. It's like he made it vanish. Thus, if have an injury on your face, and you kind of like the prospect of a cool scar as a result, don't go to Dr. Wightman. However, if you want fast, efficient, and ninja-level oral surgery results, then by all means go see Dr. Wightman. He'll take care of you, but be forewarned: nobody will ever know about your injury. You'll just be healed and made whole. (Boring, I know.) read more

My son is 23 years old, he was in a lot of pain with impacted wisdom teeth. He needed all 4 pulled. I called around Thursday afternoon to a few dentists ( ours is on vacation for 2 weeks) I was referred to evergreen. When I called they were just closing, however they stayed late and got my son an appointment the next day. I was so grateful as his pain was terrible. This is my sons worst fear. Going to the dentist And being sedated. The dentist was calm and patient and answered all of my sons last minute questions honestly. Right before receiving the injection to be put under my son started panicking and asked the dentist to wait. Dentist response " sure no problem, I'm here for you". My son took about 1 Minute and then said " go ahead". About 40 minutes later he was done. In recovery the assistance came back and answered questions and gave us instructions. My daughter needed a tooth extracted and we where given a referral to this office for the procedure. From the start, there were a couple things I should have noticed but this was my first time having to use an oral surgeon for anyone in our family, so I wasn't familiar with the process. Making the appointment was harder, assuming they were busy but it was due to making sure insurance co-pays and such were correct and that the method of payment and cost was agreed upon beforehand. Walking into her appointment the office is a little hidden from the street and entry was confusing but the office itself was modern, clean and inviting but here's where it changed. I paid my,"co-pay" which was more than was advised, they couldn't explain why but I paid anyway. They called my daughter back and said I to wait in the waiting room and they would call me back if needed. After some time a lady came out and told me my daughter was be difficult and she needed me to come back? I walk into the room and she is just waking up from the anesthesia and questioning where she is and asking for me... to call that difficult is a little extra as she is a child and it's seem to be a common thing to wake up from anesthesia and still be drugged. Basically Dr. Whiteman and his assistant were not compassionate at all and just eager to get my daughter and I out of the chair and office. It got worse from there when I couldn't possible think it could... remember that whole billing and co-pay thing, well I called to double check since the amount was altered and mind you I have double coverage so I was already surprised at the amount that we had to pay. Well after calling my primary dental insurance carrier and getting someone very helpful and having to call Dr. Whiteman's office to advise that they made and error, which they denied.... I received a personal check from the office within 3 days of my last call to them, when they stated there was no issue and everything was billed correctly. Hmmm, no call to advise of the mistake or an apology after all the issues. read more

I went to Evergreen Oral Surgery to get my wisdom teeth removed. The whole process was smooth, very easy going. I was nervous about going under, as this was my first surgery, but I was reassured that I would be okay and I was in good hands. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. AMAZING!!!!!! I had a bad experience prior to coming here with another Dr breaking my crown off during an extraction. I was referred to this place and I am so happy that they took care of me. The main Dr (I already forgot his name) understood my frustration and was able to see me the next day. Since I didn't have anyone to drive me home he made sure I was comfortable and numbed me up pretty good. The staff were really kind and attentive. He pulled all 4 of my pre molars in maybe 30mins if even that. It was pretty quick. It made me really question why the other Dr I went to couldn't do what he did and I will definitely give that guy a bad review. Anyways this is a really clean and friendly place. I had a tooth extraction, grafting and an implant done (in 2 stages). Dr. Whiteman was amazing. The procedures went great with no trouble and he made me feel comfortable and not worry about the procedure. The only reason I give a 4 instead of 5 star is because the financial staff can be a little stressful to work with. My dentist financial lady knew and understood more about my insurance coverage than they did at Evergreen oral surgery and she doesn't even work there. The financial staff not only didn't know enough about the double insurance details but also had a bad attitude towards me when I tried to explain it to her after I figured it out by calling both my insurances. She made me feel really stressed out so much that I almost went somewhere else. She should work on her customer service skills. The only other problem I had with them was when I went in for my initial consultation I was told I was a good candidate for doing it all in 1 stage, then when I made my appointment the doctor changed his mind and I had to do it in 2 stages. Also I got my xray at a different location because it was cheaper and I was told I wouldn't have to get another at their office and could use it but the day before my 2nd surgery they called and said I had to get another xray so again they tried to change the original plan. It would be more helpful if they took notes of the plans they told customers so they don't keep changing things and costing more. Not everyone has a ton of money to just shed out anytime. read more

So to start off, I have extreme dental anxiety. So bad that I have to take diazepam even to get a cleaning. Well I had a broken tooth with very difficult roots that needed extraction. I had been to three different places that just blew me off and said they couldn't do it. Well I was referred to Dr. Wightman's office. I was at my wits end and hoped he could help. I called and right off the receptionist was so nice and helpful. She scheduled me for a free consultation which included X-rays! Who does X-rays for free? Cool. Well the second I walked in the office I felt an immediate sense of calm. It was absolutely surreal. The office is immaculate. There is a keurig in the waiting room and lots of beautiful furnishing. After the consultation they got back to me within two days to explain what needed to be done and the final cost involved. This office is out of network for me but I felt so strongly this was where I needed to be I didn't care it was out of pocket. I needed to have IV sedation for the surgery which I have never had. The nurse was very detailed in explaining everything and eased my mind. She took the time to answer any questions I had and didn't make me feel rushed. She even gave me a blanket to wrap up in when she noticed I was cold. The surgery itself went beautifully. Especially since I was asleep and didn't feel a thing. They have a nice recovery area where my husband sat with me while I came around. They sent me home with a goodie bag with everything to put me on the road to recovery. I had a question the next day, called and all was answered and reassured I was fine. I cannot stress enough what a good experience I've had here. I'll shout it from the rooftops. Dental work is never something you look forward to. My molar had broken at the gumline and was severely infected. I have a history of Complicated extractions with roots that tangle and a small mouth to get to. My regular dentist came highly recommended. I had gone to see her knowing I had a complicated and painful extraction ahead. Did the exam and We bagan the carefully planned procedure, but we didnt plan that I would metabolize the anesthesia so quickly! Halfway through my regular dentist stopped and referred me out to an Oral surgeon after I became painfully un- anesthetized, it was 445pm. I was partially numb, my tooth was now angry and partially removed. I googled and found Evergreen Oral surgery. Dr Wightman, my last resort. He was able to get me in Wednesday morning. A day and half after my failed in office attempt to remove this tooth. I arrived stressed out, in pain, sore and cranky. Not to mention I hadnt eaten anything since monday morning. Dawn the receptionist greeted my crankiness with a smile and helped with preliminary papers (which much to my crankiness are not android friendly) only a few minutes later I was in office with Dr Wightman and his assistant. They explained that I would have to remain awake during this procedure. I didnt care as long as they got it out!! Surgery started right on schedule. Dr Wightman and his assistant were AMAZING. Only a few injections later I was totally numb!! As soon as my tooth was out, pressure was relieved everywhere. I instantly felt better. They faxed a Drs note to my work, and gave me a Rx. They also sent home a lil care packet with ice pack, gauze, chapstick and appointment reminder. Aside from paperwork, the whole thing took 35 minutes. After he had four teeth abscess at once for a second time he decided an oral surgeon with full sedation was the only route to take. Excellent staff & customer service. :) Let me start off by saying I'm usually terrified of dental work. I'm happy to say I had 2 wisdom teeth taken out & felt no pain AT ALL. I was able to eat right away-same day! & in 2 days I stopped taking Ibuprofen. I told Dr.Wightman I also had TMJ pain prior to the surgery, he was honest & said the extractions would probably not help with the pain, but thankfully I have not had any migraines or jaw joint pain since the oral surgery & it's been 4 months already. It's a very clean & modern location. You're able to see your x-rays on a big screen while the Dr reviews it and patiently answers every question. Coffee & tea available in the waiting area for yourself or loved ones. Staff responds fast to email which is very important specially if you're not able to speak right after surgery with the gauze. There was only a minor issue I got prescribed Hydrocodone when I had stated on the chart notes I can't take that. My email was responded within seconds & my husband also got a call right away & they were able to fix & order a new prescription to be filled & I got Ibuprofen 800mg instead.
