Public Review for Ron's Moving Company (Holden, Maine) Terry…read moreGrant and her family hired Ron's Moving Company to come to my residence at 18 Lonnie Lane in Holden, Maine, and the experience was one of the worst I've ever had with any service provider. When the crew arrived, they were immediately informed that the property was involved in an active divorce case and that a court injunction prohibited the removal of any items. Despite being told this directly and clearly, the movers ignored the legal notice and proceeded to remove items at my wife's request--including premarital property that belongs solely to me. Their behavior made the situation even worse. While loading my belongings, the movers made jokes about the situation, and when I stated that the items they were taking were my property, one of them yelled back, "No it's not!" The level of disrespect and unprofessionalism was astonishing. A reputable moving company should stop immediately when notified of a legal restriction. Instead, Ron's Moving Company chose to proceed, creating financial harm, legal complications, and unnecessary conflict. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. Their disregard for legal instructions and their unprofessional conduct speak volumes about how they operate.

The moving crew (Cody, Joe, and Tony) was absolutely amazing: friendly, polite, efficient, and constantly in motion. And they pulled it off in 10 degree weather the day after a snowstorm! Make them your first call if you need movers!

Approximately 2 pm, the Mackie's truck went past slowing down at our mailbox with our address on it, turned around at the end of the road & proceeded to drive past our house in the opposite direction. Then no sign of them. Called the office & was told they couldn't find our house, horse puckies, & were now in Bedford! Would have to reschedule...oh no, we had prepped the house for an easy delivery, doors removed, drop cloths, old stove disconnected. The person on the phone said she would call them to return to our house. Am I boiling mad!!! You bloody well can bet on it. Next I am getting on to GE as to why they would hire such morons.

I received a phone call from Lenard the day before where he explained the process of the move to me and how the day would play out. As explained by Lenard the removal guys arrive into work at 8am where they clean their truck and prepare for their days work. Lenard told me to expect them between 9-9.30am but to allow 15 minutes incase of bridge traffic. At 10am I called the number he had given me to reach an answer machine, I then called the office asked to speak to Lenard and was referred to another answer machine. At 10.30am I received a phone call from Jennifer informing me the removal guys would arrive between 12-1pm. Big difference in the time which subsequently meant I had to lose a days work. When the removal guys arrived they had none of the right packing equipment and their truck was more than half full meaning they did not have room for our stuff. The two guys spent thirty minutes trying to contact the office whereby then they asked us to ring so this issue could be resolved. Between myself and my husband we were reffered from one person to another with nothing been resolved. Finally we were put intouch with Lenard who basically took no responsibilty, he tried to shift blame to others and never once apologized or even acknowledged the wrong information he had given me or the fact two removal guys showed up to my home four hours late, with a half full truck and incorrect packing materials.. Lenard was extremly unprofessional and to be frank he does not care about you or your move. If you want a stress free, worry free, friendly and professional moving comapny I would AVOID having any dealings with Mackie.
