His machine was unable to clear the underground P-trap. So he left with the line still plugged. My daughter was then told that for $700 He could clean out that line. My daughter told him to come back after Christmas. That seemed outrageous to me. So I took the initiative to call A and S plumbing. The day after Christmas, when many folks still on holiday, he showed up within minutes of my call. With good equipment and excellent know how he cleared the plug. Today is January 11, 2012 and everything is working as it should. Total charge was $180 and I am pleased about that.

When we did a google search for Hereford this company showed up as if they were local. We had a overpowering sewer stench in the building only that added to our sense of urgency. In my desperation to take care of my employees, I unknowingly booked Scottco while my wife had already booked another company. As a small company with only two employees, the $420 trip charge was quite devastating for us. I believe in compensating others for their time and would never want to take advantage of anyone. I understand that mistakes happen, and I am willing to pay a fair amount for the services rendered. However, I was taken aback when I was told that the original charge was almost $600 as if I needed to be happy with the current. I believe in dealing with companies that operate with integrity and put their heart into their operations. I own up to my mistake and am willing to pay what is fair. He did this almost contactless with my tenant, which I appreciated in this era of Covid. We reviewed the written proposal over the phone, came to a meeting of the minds really fast. Rick Miller, owner of RDM Construction, was very courteous and knowledgeable. Rick dealt with the pricing and estimates himself and came by the project fairly often. He did have a construction manager on site that did a lot of the day to day operation and work. Rick's crew worked hard and seemed very trustworthy. We had some minor issues arise on occasion and Rick attempted to rectify them at minimal cost. Rick is a solid contractor to hire. All-in-all, RDM is a good "bulk" construction company. In other words, from my experience, they seem to do things like foundation work, framing, and stucco very well. Where they lacked a bit on my project was the finite details. PRO's Honest and trustworthy Does well with "bulk" contruction Always answered my calls promptly Lower cost price than the competitors CON's Finished work not always as detailed as it could have been Did not initiate contact regularly Was a bit over the time frame we had agreed to (though to be fair, some of this was weather related.)
