This is the only place I ever go to get my haircut. I've been going here for three years now and I'll never go anywhere else. They raised the prices which I wasn't happy about... Took my 11 month old son to Parker's.. felt kind of stupid taking my baby for a hair cut but was immediately made welcome in Mike's shop. 3rd visit to Parker's today, and again it was equally as satisfying as the 1st and 2nd to this "just right, very right" shop. Even though I've asked for something slightly different each time, every cut has been precisely what I requested, though admittedly I give way too many directions. Rod gave me a cut this time, and he nailed the retro cut that I asked for, in spades! (he also gave me a tremendously enjoyable shave). I also admit that I check out my cut as soon as I arrive home and I realize I should have thanked Rod more than I did. I can't take credit for what I said when I told him how I'd like it cut, but I read a review elsewhere that loosely said, "I want it cut so I look like a real, goddamned gas station attendant on D-Day in 1945, or at least an updated Pete Townshend cut, not an updated Roger Daltrey." I didn't realize that he'd cut it so well that the gas station guy wanted to go home, change into a bow-tie and vest and go out "on the town" because it looked so dapper. I've now sat in the chairs of three different barbers at Parker's, and though each seems to have differing techniques and style of cutting, every cut I've been given has been 1)just what I asked for and 2) exceptionally well executed. There is one other barber and one apprentice I haven't tried, but I suspect when I visit again in 2 - 3 weeks, I'll likely be as pleased as I've been to date. When you add in all the additional attributes I noted in my first review, this is one great shop of fun, talented guys working in a shop that's old AND new school, not overdone, relaxed, priced reasonably, and has the promise of a notched up experience thanks to the very real and naturally enjoyable chemistry of its people. Probably best place in the area to get a men's haircut. Fun young barbers who are all great at what they do and they take pride in it. I used to go to "John's old school new skool" in Schwenksville but the owners moody attitude ticked me off and thanks to him I found Parker's. read more

I have been to this barber shop three times now with three different barbers. Each time I got an excellent haircut and a smoother shave than I have received from any other barber. A visit to Parker's means a relaxing shave and haircut in some nice vintage chairs and a great talk with the barber as well. I cannot recommend this place enough. Best Barber Shop in Montco hands down--Stop looking anywhere else! After many failed attempts to find a place that had Barbers that are actually skilled with clippers I was so relieved to find this Gem of a place in Skippack. I have been customer since 2009 and jump a the chance to recommend friends to go here. All the guys that work there really know their stuff so you dont have to worry about getting a "bad one." They can handle all types of hair including ethnic and have a very comfortable setup with old school chairs, big screen tv, and cooler always stocked with refreshments. The conversation is always good and spirited. I really lke the website with the waiting room webcam so you can anticipate what the wait will be when you get there. If I could post with zero stars I would. My two year old nephew looks like someone cut his hair with a weed whacker. Not only is his hair a total disaster but one of the stylists had an aside for my nephew, did I mention he is 2?!, as he was leaving because he only thanked him for the haircut and not the lollipop he was given. FYI-my nephew did not cry or carry on, he was perfectly still. So no excuses, just bad service and snarky stylists. read more

I took my 13 year old son to Parker's and it is the 1st time he likes his haircut. Morgan did his cut and we will always return there. The reason why there is a wait is because it is that good. Friendly, down to earth staff with great personalities who seem to genuinely like each other which is why there is such a good vibe in there. All of them grateful to have you as a customer. All ages welcome- (I saw a 14 month old get his 1st haircut )- kids of all ages- father's bringing their sons getting their haircuts together. They have a system where you put in your cell # and you can leave hang out at Skippack Village if there is a long wait. They have a link accessible via text so you can check where you are in "line" so you don't have to worry that you will miss your turn if you leave and come back. I even saw a girl who was rocking a cute short haircut (who looked like a model) waiting to have her hair done. No wonder they have 5 star reviews! Well done gentlemen! read more

My criticism is not based on skills, but on hearing. Got my hair cut yesterday at Skippack. My request verbatim was "leave a little length on the sides - I usually get a #4 - and cut the top so I can run my fingers through it and go." What I got was a high fade, buzzed all the way to the skin at the bottom. Excellent, meticulous haircut. Not remotely what I wanted... So be forewarned. If you're looking for a skin fade or a hard part, these guys appear to do good work. But be careful walking in looking for a little off the top. read more

I have been to many barber shops throughout my life, but after one visit to Parker's I have gone back every time without fail. They do not take appointments so it may take some patience depending on the time of day you decide to go. I have waited up to about an hour at the busiest times, but nothing to stress over as conversations are vibrant and they do offer complimentary beer while waiting (limit one per customer). If you don't want to wait too long, it's always good to go during opening hours when the line isn't bad. All of the barbers are hilarious, friendly, and entertaining. Although sometimes engaging in raunchier conversations, all the employees are able to keep it a family friendly environment when children are present. Best barber shop in the area, hands down. Don't be afraid to try any of the barbers; some people choose to wait for their particular favorite barber, but they all give excellent haircuts in a timely manner that will have you feeling fresh and leaving satisfied. read more
