I went in as usual and grabbed some drinks the older white lady on the phone was seemingly a little hostile towards a young black gentleman who was filling his cup up, I want to state now that he had outside work clothing on and obviously looked severely dehydrated. And, it's blistering hot outside. The older women with grey hair behind the counter shouted at him to pay for a refill and then she went away to do other work duties while still being on the phone, the only reason I know she was on the phone was because it was on speaker and was obnoxiously loud... Me and my friends were stunned and the atmosphere was a bit awkward after that. We headed to checkout and the lady was on the phone with what I assume was the police? Again, phone still on speaker volume and loud. Complaining about how some black guys came in and stole drinks and wanted them to quote "go get them" since she had the license plates. And when she heard that she had to fill out a report she said "So people are just allowed to steal products from stores now and get away with it?" Absolutely ridiculous. I highly suggest the management at parker's look into who runs this location because I do love stopping by because of the convenience but what I saw really did put a sour taste in my mouth....

Parking is shared with other businesses in the area. The store parking lot and inside were extremely clean and well laid out. Granted, this is a new location, but you can see the hard work that the team put in to keep the store looking fantastic. Don't you love it when a business team member goes out of their way to make things right? That's exactly what the very nice lady at the bakery did this morning (I did not catch her name). She went out of her way to find me some bran muffins, and cracked open a package that had already been sealed from their bakery, Just so that I could have that Muffin! How cool is that?! Walking around at the store, I was asked by three different team members if I needed help. Awesome and appreciated! The deli and hot food service is the bomb! Fresh and hot and great selection. The fresh produce department was beautiful as always, seems to be the case with Harris Teeter. We will be coming back to this store specifically because of this interaction and experience.

Outside there's no loitering people so one can feel safe while outside of the vehicle. Inside it's the cleanest station around. The floors are routinely cleaned while the air ducts are free of dust and debris (yes I pay attention to that). Next the fountain machines appear to be clean as well with a nice variety of soft drinks. The shelves are always stocked full with snacks and munchies along with drinks in the fridges. The best part is there's always at least two cashiers and their fast. Moreover the card readers are fairly new so they speed up the process as well if you're inside. The people are extremely friendly too! Again, if you need to hit a gas station for any reason, this is the one to hit. They're clean, fast and safe so you'll be in and out before you know it!

I paid for $20 worth of gas and didn't think I had to check my gas gage to make sure the gas went in the tank. So I pumped the gas and pulled off got on the interstate and happened to look down and then realized that my gas gage never moved. I'm thinking my car's gage is messed up and nope I paid for $20 worth of air in my tank. Couldn't very well go back because I already drove about 10-15mins down the road and didn't think they would honor it. So I took that loss and decided to give them another chance. It happened again, but this time I checked before I even fully cranked my car up. So they did honor it this time and I've been coming back for all my needs since. Also, I drive for a living so I frequent all kinds of gas stations, but I try my best to find a Parkers before others. I really like the atmosphere in most of them, but not all. I've come across some truly mistreated ones. The College Park Rd one is by far my favorite out of all of them. I believe it starts with the management at any work environment to have a very good work environment. If the employees are treated right and with respect, but also held to a certain standard then they'll do the job and want to show up and be respectful to Everyone. The manager over the College Park store is really awesome I see her working right along with her employees, talking to them about whatever they need to talk about or what needs to be done and so on. I've watched her run the kitchen, work the floor, train employees, take deliveries all while talking to the customers and helping them during the process or her staff will jump right in and take over whatever she needs them to. They're all a truly wonderful team in that store and I always recommend the store to anyone whom may ask or don't ask I tell them anyway to go to the Parkers on College Park Rd you'll be happy with the service and the cleanliness. Parkers just FYI that's one manager that you need to hang on to at all cost because she knows what she's doing and she does it very well!
