Southward represented himself…read moreas a family owned business, and when I researched the company, I saw the reviews, which were basically positive, but were from northern Indiana. Since I am retired and receive a pension monthly, I asked if I could pay monthly instead of weekly, which was agreed. And, to show my good faith, I paid in advanced. J. Southward showed up the first day, saying he was going to pick up a mower. He later showed up with a push mower inside the trunk of his car. He then left the lawn mower t my residence, saying he forgot something and would return. When I questioned this move, I was informed by J. Southward that he lived in the neighborhood next to mine and he would not be gone long. Needless to say, after a few days, sent text messages and phone calls, and me telling him that I would not be responsible for the equipment he left at my residence, J. Southward finally returned, showing up with friends who sat outside my home while he cut my front yard. J. Southward then left. After he didn't return for the next week's lawn service, I asked for a refund of my money. All instances of me trying to contact J. Southward went ignored. Yes, this was my mistake and I only point the finger at myself for trusting this company. What I do, is try to warn anyone who uses them of their practice. I Do Not Recommend this company. If I could give negative stars, I would.

I hired this guy to trim up my tree. He did a terrible job and left a mess. He was very…read moreunprofessional and continuously called and texted me throughout the night demanding more money. He was borderline harrassing me. I even have a voicemail where he threatened to break out windows. I refused to pay any more than I already had until the job was done so he came to " finish" the job at midnight. I had to call the police to get him to leave. He continued his harassment the next morning. I ended up cleaning up his mess myself the next day and now I have to hire someone else to fix my tree.
