An employee let me know that he'd have the owner, Russ, give me a call in the morning. In the morning, Russ called and we discussed what I needed. He had a couple calls to make, and then he said he'd let me know about coming out to give an estimate. Instead, he came by the house (fortunately, I was home) and we discussed the job. As the price was reasonable, I discussed a couple other related issues. We agreed on a price for all of it that I would consider a good value. He was available the next day (today). We agreed on a time, 11am, and he was here within 5-10 minutes of that with his crew of two others. I was a little nervous that he was using a ground crew (no bucket) to take down a relatively tall tree between my house and a neighbor's house. However, I needn't worry. The method worked beautifully. His crew mostly kept to themselves. They did everything they'd promised to do. Heck, they even took away an old Christmas tree I still had outside that had never made its way to the curb. After about 3-4 hours, their trailer was completely full. It was a good stopping point with pretty much everything done other than some additional clean-up and trimming down the stump a bit more. That's to come. I'm confident they will follow-through. This company has reportedly been around awhile, though they're new on Yelp. I'm quite pleased. Communication was good. The work was done on time. The work is of good quality, and the pricing was fair. Russ himself is friendly - he knew I was stuck in my home due to an unexpected car issue, and more than once he offered to bring something back when he had to run an errand. Quite nice. I would, and most certainly will, use them again.

I was actually suspicious of the pricing at first, but it seems like they use tech (in this case a bucket lift truck instead of climbers for the altitude work) where it makes sense. We hired them to remove a couple small dead trees, do a 25' high limb removal, and trim the top deadwood off of another tree. Tree of Life crew rolled up with a team and bunch of equipment, worked quickly as specified with Luis on the quote. They got the planned work done and did not mess around... What really distinguished them to me was the care of the property. They brought blowers and cleaned up after the cutting areas. They brought a chipper for the branches and truck to do any other hauling. For a high cut, they brought in a bucket truck, and laid down rubber track mats to ensure the yard wasn't damaged by the tires. They watched out for the various cables and things attached to our house to avoid damage from limbs. This showed good attention to how they did their work and care for the customer.
