I have had the unit on truck since June 2018 has not worked most of the time. Did not work first day out fuel pump issue,they fixed that. Next week would not cool returned to shop said ac lines were loose. Next week or two would not cool again returned to shop, bad fitting on ac line . Unit has never cooled right now it will not heat charging mode works some times , never know when it is going to work. They have replaced the alt.. Key pad is junk. One star for the guys in shop, nice people,one star for the unit looks nice on the truck. Very bad investment.All this plus some before the first oil change. read more

I purchased my first HP2000 in June 2016 with a Koelher Engine.I have recently purchased my second unit which has a much better Kubota Engine which has proven to be quieter and more reliable. I love the Inverter Power System opposed to the Generator which means I can, say, use my Coffee Maker with the Unit running, the Truck running, or nothing running without unplugging/replugging or changing a thing! I have a nice Truck. The HP2000 is self contained unit, so no condenser drilled into the back of my Cab. It's cooled with Truck coolant system which keeps the truck engine warm in winter. What a worthless co. I've got a 10,000 dollar peace of junk on my truck. I bought this hp2000 two years ago & it works 2 weeks then broke, I keep fixing it my self, because everytime I go there it cost me more money,I really don't think that good business. After two years I've only got 827 hrs. On this junk, I call to have them help me fix it, I get bring it out so we can look at it. I personally have them enough , I should have known something up when I bought this thing when Sam at sunset financial had me say it was installed before I got there.this co. Just steels your money after it's installed there done with you, unless they can talk you in to coming back to get more, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR NOTHING. I bought a used unit in May of 19. First trip out I lost all of my antifreeze because their hose clamps failed. Second trip the muffler fell off took to Parks they put a new one on drove thirty minutes up the road and parked the muffler fell off again. Took it back put on a new muffler with a clamp that should have been there in the first place. A couple of weeks later it stopped getting cool to it back they replaced lines that were rubbing on the framework. My opinion is it under engineered to be on a truck. That's the nice way of saying it's crap. I asked Randy if we could work something out on a new one. He said he would give me 1500.00 credit on a new one. I paid 6500.00 93 days earlier. That's Randy's way of saying he knows they are crap. Now as of today 9/14 it doesn't get cold anymore. I was using it to keep batteries charged because that's the only option that still worked. I came back from breakfast and the muffler fell off for the fourth time. I will never return to Parks to get it fixed because the only fix is take the piece of crap off the truck and sell it for scrap. read more

Hello...I am a DISABLED VETERAN who has respectfully purchased 2 Auxillary Power Units for 2 of my big rigs. The purchase and install on both were $21,000.....the install was done on 7/6/2018 on both trucks.....and both broke down on 7/7/2018. I respectfully contacted Park's Industries on Monday 7/9/2018, to let them know that both APU's had failed. I spoke directly to Randy who from the start started yelling and cussing and calling me a "RETARDED VETERAN" who doesn't know anything !!!! I respectfully asked that these very expensive units be repaired.... I was advised to take both units to Rincon Truck Center (an authorized warranty repair shop) in San Clemente, California for WARRANTY REPAIRS.... The repairs were made as a temporary solution because as per the Engineers at Rincon....the APU's were installed incorrectly. After the corrections were made, Randy refused to write up a P.O. and I was stuck with the bill. I spoke with Randy via telephone who assurred me he would fix the problem(s). I redirected my drivers and had my trucks shipped to Marion,Illinois for the WARRANTY REPAIR work Randy had promised. Again...Park's Industries could not fix the problem due to poor engineering, and I was hit with another bill. I inquired as to why I'm being charged,,,,and Randy's response was threatening....foul....disrespectful. As a DISABLED VETERAN and WAR HERO.....I respectfully ask that we all stay clear of Park's Industries and take our business to a more reputable shop. Thank You....G.Sgt. This company is such a rip off they are great at lying to you on the phone and to your face. Randy is the biggest you know what in this world. I have had nothing but problems with the first product and they told me the only way to fix it was to get a new engine for the APU so I did the first APU was a little over a year old and the crank on the engine broke. THe company stated that this has never happened before well long story short do not use this company it is a rip off to all American hard working truck drivers. After reading the comments from the Disabled Veteran the owner should be ashamed of himself and his company. Then to read the other persons comment well all I can say is that I agree. I did my complaining at the place of business and got an email 4 hours after leaving telling me that I should not be complaining because in one months time the engine that they ordered to replace the piece of crap went up by $2000.00 and that the company pretty much ate that $2000.00 please give me a break. This piece of equipment in a little over a year has cost the price of a 10% down payment on a newer truck or even a house. I know of new cars that cost a little less then that and for Randy sending me an email for my complaints is bad business on his part. First of I would give negative stars if I could. This is the biggest piece of shit! 10K paperweight. We have had the unit just under 2 years and have, at the minimum, 20 shop receipts. The unit has maybe worked 1/3 of the time. Honest to God, that is no exaggeration! We have basically given up because they won't stand behind their product from the horrific install, which they blamed on the shop foreman at the time being on vacation to the unit being in the shop with less than 15 hours on it the first time. From the beginning it has been one thing after another and now all of a sudden they won't cover anything. Just got a estimate of $1250 to get it back operational. The motor shakes so bad it damages itself. The owner of this company is a condescending, arrogant asshole who could care less how much money you lose coming off the road to repair his piece of shit unit. He only cares about the money he is out sending the repair parts. RUN DO NOT WALK away from this unit. Unfortunately we will now be forking over another 11K to get a legitimate HPU. They will be hearing from our attorney. read more

We have installed 6 of these units on our fleet of trucks since May of 2017 and just about have our 7th unit done. We have tried others and they all seem to have problems. I choose to try the HP2000 because it is a simpler unit its all 12 volt and no generator to worry about. With our other models we are replacing generators often they seem to last about a year at a cost of about $600.00 American dollars each. I forgot to mention we are a Canadian company. We did have a couple of problems with the HP2000 at first but Randy and the technicians at Parks were very good at helping us resolve them. We found that the reversing valves were causing the most trouble after speaking with Randy the company supplied us lines to bypass the valves only problem is that we have to remove the refrigerant and switch the lines over and then recharge the system to go from A/C to heat this takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Since doing this we have nothing but good feedback from our drivers. I only gave a 4 star rating as it has been only a year and a half so far. From what I can see so far we will continue to use the HP2000. read more
