This is a very reliable business. The guy really knows his stuff too. Didn't have to wait very long either.

We had to be towed because the jeep would not start, and we didn't know the area so we relied on the tow truck driver for advice. He told us Hale's was a reliable family owned facility. The jeep was dropped off about 8:00 at night, and the tow driver took us to a nearby hotel. Hale's called early the next morning and we discussed the issue we were having. They took a few hours to check things over, and called with an estimate of cost and time. They said they would get on it right away because we were traveling through. The jeep was ready to go the following morning. However- less than 2 months later the starter went out again! My local repair shop fixed it (for about the same price and timing as we paid at Hale's.) I contacted Hale's about their warranty, and shipped the bad starter to them on a Friday morning. The following Tuesday I received a call from Hale's confirming that they would reimburse me for the total amount of the second repair, plus the parts and shipping cost to return the old starter. While I would have preferred not to have had two starter replacements in 2 months, Hale's lived up to their claim of "The Best Warranty in Marion!"

This place took two weeks to initially fix my car, messed up my radio, charged $129 for a single…read morerear light bulb replacement, and couldn't even install a windshield wiper properly the first time. In total, they overcharged me by about $435 in phony labor costs, including: 0.8 hours, or 48 minutes, just for a rear light bulb replacement, 1 hour for an oil change that shouldn't take more than 30 minutes, 1 hour for spark plugs that shouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes to replace, 1 hour for a transmission drain and fill on a v4 that shouldn't take more than 45 minutes, etc. I had to take the car back to reprogram a Tire Pressure Monitor System unit that they didn't program properly the first time and to attempt to reflash a radio that they screwed up when replacing the Body Control Module. The fixed the TPMS unit but not the radio. Then I had to take back the car again to fix a slapping windshield wiper. Then I had to take back the car a third time to replace a rear light bulb that they never caught on a full inspection, and I was charged $129 for. I thought that perhaps a socket was corroded or there was wiring work needed, but no, it was .8 hours of labor work (48 minutes) for labor that probably took 5 minutes. (Even worse, I specifically stated to Taylor that if a bulb was burned out on the left side of the vehicle that Hale's should replace the right side too to save on labor costs. Then when I called to pick up the car, they didn't tell me the price over the phone and Taylor stated that she "believed" that bulbs on both sides were replaced. When I brought up the discrepancy in person, she said that I would need another labor charge just go fix their error that they already charged me $129 for.) If all that wasn't enough, I actually had to call them twice for a pickup the first time they fixed the car because the driver didn't show up after 45 minutes. This review wouldn't post on Google reviews (which is constantly censored now), so I'm posting it here.

Melanie, Joel, and the techs were doing everything they could to get answers and kept us informed with each step. Joel said they could not find anything that stuck out, however he wanted us to stay until the suspension tech was in the next day. Not something we wanted to hear but it turned out to be for the best because we left, stopped to get gas, and things got worse. We checked into the Baymont off Main St. (awesome staff here as well). The next day Melanie had arranged for John and Stan to come and pick up the car to drive it back. Stan pulled into their parking lot, stopped, something fell to the ground, and that's when they discovered the transfer box for the front to back differential broke completely apart. They were able to drag the car in, lift it, and determine the extent of the damage. They found the part in Memphis so we would need to wait another day until it arrived. We were very happy to have an answer and we were very grateful that everyone at the shop was so helpful. Will helped us empty the car when our other ride came to pick us up as well as hook up our small trailer. This shop was SO busy and the entire staff remained professional, courtesy and didn't let the pressure get to them. A very big thank you to Melanie, Joel, Stan, John, Will, and the techs that worked on the car.

I was greeted very nicely on the phone, I explained my situation and was then place on a 3 way call with a road tech. We had a few laughs while we exchanged information. They reached out to my driver and let him know they were coming and they arrived in about a half an hour. Their tech TJ, Called me and gave me his diagnosis and then repaired our truck very quickly. The billing was done through Roadsync. I was able to pay the bill right from my cell phone. That was cool. Their call out is a two hour minimum. Their afterhour labor rate was very reasonable. (believe me, when you manage a fleet of trucks you know what reasonable is). I just appreciate the honesty and they way I was treated on the phone and the way They treated our driver. Thanks Guys, I have your number saved in my phone. Respectfully yours Harold Simmons Manager Great Lakes Trucking MI.

Me and my boyfriend dropped his car off knowing it would be a couple days before they got to it…read moresince it was the weekend. He told us he would contact us by wednesday. Monday comes around and we stop to check on the car because we need get a few items out of it. The car is in the shop, and the employees are leaning against it watching youtube videos. By wednesday afternoon we heard nothing so my boyfriend calls to get an update, The owner was completely in the dark, had no information to give us and told us he hadn't been at the shop. The owner said he would find out and give my boyfriend a call back shortly. he never called back. I personally tried calling him myself and he declined my calls each time. thursday i call around 11am and he says again he has no update but was headed to the shop to check everything out and would give me a call back soon. 1:30pm rolls around and again he didn't call us back. my boyfriend then gets ahold of him and the only 'update' he could give us was he read the obd reader and told us it wasn't the transmission. (my boyfriend read it with his personal obd reader and told them that at drop off) so they did absolutely nothing but wasted our time and money. my boyfriend decides to come pick the car up and we are just going to take it to another place, the owner became unprofessional on the phone and told my boyfriend he had no idea how to run a business, etc etc. which is wild coming from someone who is running their business without being in the shop for days at a time, not knowing the work their employees are doing, not able to give updates to customers, and unable to be trusted to even give a call back like he said he would..... this "business" is so incredibly unprofessional and we will never be contacting them about anything ever again in the future. These people do not value customers or business. It definitely felt like they are trying to make quick dirty money... not provide high quality services. i usually don't leave reviews so with that being said, me leaving this just shows how terrible the experience with this "business" was.
