"Oh oops I forgot to add this one $10,000 piece to your invoice, the price we've been discussing for 1/2 hour is now 50% higher" "Well I guess I could give you the friends and family discount..." etc etc Every time I said no to their "absolute lowest price they can do," they came back with another "lowest price" with some kind of discount or deal that they "shouldn't do, but can make an exception for..." I've read online that they do excellent work, but all they wanted to talk about was their competitors. If I had a nickel for every time I heard about "the other guys," I could possibly afford their newest "absolute best price we can do." Not a fan. Just tell me the price, tell me what you do, and cut the gimmicks.

We filed a board complaint in April 2026 and I can only hope they can stop him from leaving anyone else in the same situation he's left us in. He didn't meet any deadlines, was in breach of both mine and the banks contract. He was fired. A structural repair company that flat out says "you paid for repairs, you don't pay for the work to be up to code" says a lot.

Based on my experience, any proactive issues you can take to avoid any water issues is money well spent. I love how they work with you to stay in your budget but help you to track issues you may see in the future. In our situation, we have a gutter issue that showed up when we had the recent monsoon rain. We're going to fix our gutters (clean them out) but will track a second issue (we also have an issue with the volume of our 2nd floor gutter pours onto our garage roof as the 2nd floor and the garage roof gutter handle the same volume of water which means that if we max out the 2nd floor gutter, the garage roof gutter will be overflowing). They also pointed out that they can fix issues with our porch setting (a common issue given that NC builder often throw all their trash under the porch then bury the trash when they finish their construction). There is an easy fix for that issue. Also, they can fix an issue with our cement driveway slab tilting though it is more expensive given the size of the slab. We'll address this later.

During the initial consultation, we were assured the repair would not be a problem. However, when the two technicians arrived, they spent about 15 minutes assessing the situation before leaving, stating they could not complete the job. What was even more frustrating was the lack of communication afterward. We spent the next 12 hours trying to reach someone at the local branch to discuss the issue and find a resolution for this much-needed repair. Despite repeatedly requesting a phone call, no one ever contacted us. Instead, all communication was handled through text messages. We were eventually informed that a waiver would be required, something that was never discussed during the consultation. At that point, we requested a full refund of our deposit. In all my years, I have never experienced such poor communication and customer service from a company.
