We called to let them know, and they were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to have our full reserved bowling time instead of cutting it short. That level of customer service really made a difference. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was fun, and it ended up being the perfect way to end our night. We had an absolute blast and really appreciated how understanding and flexible everyone was. We'll definitely be back!

Initially on arrival I thought that the place was super small as you can only see one set of lanes, but shortly we realized there are way more lanes available on the second floor. There was a bit of a wait so we just wandered around the springs and other stores to pass the time. The staff that was on hand was good, but I should note there was a guy on the second floor about to clean a pair of shoes because he couldn't get help. The bowling was fun. The lane was cool. The space seemed a bit closer than I remember at other locations, but I could be wrong. The one thing that really did it for me was the greasy balls. Not just one or two, but you could feel it on all of them. You could tell that folks were eating and playing, but not cleaning their hands. There should be someone on staff just for that role because the grease on the balls took away from the feel of playing.

Staff interactions felt dismissive, and when concerns were raised, they were not handled with professionalism or care. Most disappointing was the absence of meaningful engagement or resolution from management. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds matters. In this case, communication, attitude, and follow-through all fell short. I hope leadership reviews this feedback and takes steps to improve staff training and customer engagement, as these changes could significantly improve the guest experience. Below is the formal complaint that was emailed and submitted, however, there has been no response: Good morning, I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a private event held at Splitz Bowling - Gainesville, FL on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The reservation was under the name Josie Jackson, and we paid $435.38 for a private section with four lanes for two hours. Lanes 27 and 28 experienced continuous technical issues throughout the reservation period. While I understand that having more than six participants per lane can sometimes contribute to delays, lanes 27 and 28 did not exceed six players during the first hour and were the first to malfunction, confirming the issues were not related to lane capacity or guest usage. During the final hour of play, lanes 29 and 30 also began experiencing issues, further reducing usable play time across all four lanes. Additionally, our dedicated server was present for less than an hour and did not return, and multiple staff members were disengaged despite a busy venue. Management arrived 30-45 minutes later and offered minimal remediation (initially 15 minutes, then 30 minutes across all lanes), which did not resolve the technical issues. No meaningful follow-up occurred despite assurances. On-site security staff were inattentive. Given the cost and repeated service failures, I respectfully request: A corporate review of this incident Appropriate compensation or refund Corrective actions to prevent similar issues for future guests I would appreciate a written response. Please let me know if you need additional documentation. Shantell Hadley, MBA shantella.hadley@gmail.com

We were mostly not impressed that the lane kept having technical malfunctions then when we went to renew for another our lane stopped working completely and they had us wait 10-15 minutes just to wait for another lane to open up in the boutique area. Staff wasn't exactly helpful.

I've seen that this location is in need of a kitchen/entertainment manager so I have to assume leadership/guidance and authority is lacking at the current time. Quality: Chicken quesadilla was very tasty and was appropriately priced for the quality and quantity of the appetizer. Flatbread pizza: This is where I struggle. The flavor was okay. The crust was burnt and it was very overpriced for what you get. Regardless the situation, there's no excuse to send out a product that was clearly burnt. This not only impacts the reviews but can also impact the tips of the wait staff. Cheeseburger: It was a cheeseburger. It was a little pink in the middle and didn't come with mayo/lettuce or tomato. Again, shouldn't price as a high-end restaurant but provide sub-par product. Overall: Cleanliness of the bar/seating area was okay. Tables were sticky and some tables had condiments while others did not. Our waitress was attentive. We tipped her well. Overall it was a little bit of a let down after I was told the food was great at this location. BOWLING: cost: very appropriate. Cleanliness: Didn't see anything that would warn us that it was not cleaned often. Service: It was quickly identified there are regulars and those regulars will act entitled. We had 2-3 people step ahead of us at the counter to demand things. There was zero courtesy that we were waiting. Lanes: Well kept. I'm Overall I think we'll visit this bowling lane to b Bowl but not sure we'll revisit the eatery section. I hope they get help in the kitchen soon. Bowlers like to eat and drink. The more they drink the more they want to snack. It could become a missed opportunity. If I give the food side a 2nd chance, will update my review.

Unfortunately, when checking out, the price changed to $10 per person. The bumpers didn't work properly, and the bartender didn't seem pleased to be at work. Bowlero is ruining bowling.
