We stayed here for a long weekend. The RV lots are awesome. We checked in and the park store had everything you could possibly need if you have forgotten something. The staff are very friendly and you could see they loved their job. The shower rooms are very big and clean. I enjoyed this trip and it's right on the lake where swimming and ropes on trees. My granddaughter took her paddle board and had a blast. We had an epic time and would definitely return. read more

This RV park is nestled right across the river from Garner State Park. Of most places on the river, the water stays deep enough all year round because there is a small dam that keeps the water level up. What is great about the location is you are a very small walk down to the river bank, but way up high on the cliff to get a great view of the area. When the sun gets past 7pm, the oak trees give a lot of shade for the dinner hour. You are also near Old Baldy trailhead if you want to do a quick climb up the tallest peak there. Parkview has all of the amenities like a general store, full service bathrooms that are kept clean, and daily trash pickup. The wifi is pretty unreliable but does work with a delay like satellite internet. If you have AT&T for cellular service, you will be fine in the Concan area. Everyone else will suffer the total disconnect from the virtual world, which you were hoping to get away from, right? I usually go during Father's day week which seems to be a very busy time. It's hard to get a reserved spot during peak times, so be sure to ask to get on a waiting list. read more

Full disclosure, we do not stay here, but we stay next door at Magers, which is now currently called Zubers. I've been coming for 30 plus years off & on and the last several years we frequent this little Parkview RV store, and there's always a friendly smile inside. They open nice and early at 8am so you can get ice and whatever else you may have forgotten. They have a little bit of everything from food items to water items: great tubes to float in if you just got a hole in yours lol There are souvenirs, T-shirts, hats of all sorts, all types of RV items, or household items as well . Stayed from Sunday to Wednesday in August. We couldn't have been more pleased, the park, bathrooms, showers were clean. The park was beautiful and the river was just down the trail. Well maintained with friendly and courteous staff. We would definitely stay again. read more

We've been coming here regularly for over 20 years. We love reuniting with the people each year and meeting new campers. Great access to the river and a short drive to Garner. If you're looking for any other activities at the campground there isn't anything other than going to the river. There is no play ground for the kids which would be a big improvement. Would love to see the owners put some money back into the park to improve the sites and the amenities. Nothing over the top just keep sites in shape and big a vote for playground. read more

We stayed here for the eclipse, and even though the clouds ruined our viewing, we had a great time here! The staff is fabulous - helpful & friendly! They opened up the back area with the exercise equipment and pool table for us to enjoy, and also set up a presentation on the eclipse for everyone which was very well attended and very interesting. The bathrooms were very clean, though the door lock is a little finicky. The store is so convenient and had everything we needed, and reasonably priced as well. My only request would be for them to add to their recycling - currently they only recycle aluminum cans. Please add recycling for glass, paper, tin cans, etc. - I felt really bad throwing a lot of items in the trash that could have been recycled. Aside from that, thank you for everything! My husband and children decided to check this place out recently. We stayed for a long weekend. We brought our travel trailer with us. We did not need to use any of the amenities so I cannot tell you what kind of condition the bathrooms were in. But we had an absolutely lovely time. We will definitely be back. It was very kid friendly and very dog friendly. My children had a great time playing down in the Frio. There seem to be a good mix of long termers along with short timers like us. I had to take one star off though because I had many issues with the dogs that were there. The good news is that the dogs come and go. There was a family there with two large Rottweiler's. The lady would let them run off their leashes and had no intent of ever picking up after them. The gentleman on the other hand would walk them on a leash and clean up after them. We ran into several animals that were loose and not on leashes. There were also several pitbull's there that seemed very friendly and were on leashes. The second day we were there we woke up to find that someone had walked two large dogs through our campsite and did not pick up behind them. There were two large dog poop piles left behind and we have four small children that are constantly running and playing in the grass. I cannot explain how shocked I was at the amount of inconsiderate dog owners at this campsite. What was very upsetting was that our neighbors had a guest bring a very large German Shepherd. They kept it inside all day long but the first night we were there it was outside barking all night long. Several times after 1 AM when my baby woke up and had to get in the bed with us because he heard the dog barking. The second day they did the same thing. They took the big dog inside all day and outside at night. At 11 o'clock we couldn't take it anymore and my husband went outside and asked him to please take the dog inside. Thank goodness he went over there because they took the dog in and we never heard it again. There's a convenient store at the front of the property which is incredibly convenient. They sell tater tot's and even steaks. :) I would definitely recommend staying here and we will definitely be back! Hopefully there will be a whole different group of dogs and dog owners. read more

We LOVE Parkview Riverside RV. The staff is so helpful and polite. The sites are well maintained and more spread out than a lot of RV parks. The river access is unbeatable and directly across from Garner. Clean air conditioned/heated bathrooms, laundry, tube rentals, and a very well stocked camp store. What more could you ask for? We stay in spring/summer for swimming and fall for hiking. read more

Been coming here for years and it's perfect for getting away from big city life. Nice and cool evenings and zero mosquito's! Just a short walk from river access and plenty of space to mingle around camp. Make sure you buy beer before you get here because the general store here won't have any. If you're stuck to your cellphone you won't have any luck getting reception unless you have AT&T or T-Mobile. Even that isn't really much because the service is so poor you get knocked down to 3g speeds. The general store allows you the option to buy access to their Wi-Fi for a whopping $2 a day. I quickly found out that it was worse than my 3g speeds. In fact, it was unusable because it hardly let me connect and when it did the speeds were miserably slow. Overall my visits here are pretty sweet and end up reserving our spot for next year. It's an awesome place to hang out on the river, drink beer and listen to country music all day long! read more

I never knew there was such a pretty place in Texas. The staff was extremely nice. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our campsite was next to the river. Just a walk down and we were paddleboarding, tubing and swimming. So much fun. It was truly a beautiful spot. read more

This is for sure a 5 Star RV Park. Very friendly, professional staff. Good rates. Lots of trees and nice wide sites. The restrooms r really clean and spacious not to mention a great laundry room too. We are just passing through heading west and looked them up on Good Sam and yelp. We would for sure stay again if we r ever in the area. They r right on a beautiful clean river and not too far from a golf course. read more

Spent a week here and really enjoyed ourselves! The site we had was lovely, well shaded and fit out big fifth wheel. The staff was super! We had issues with our fridge and the RV repair guy was waiting for us when we arrived to get it going, *at no extra charge i might add*. We have 3 dogs and they were given treats at the store. There is plenty of places to walk, and the river out front was deep and great for swimming and floating. We have already booked a second visit! read more

Awesome campground! Right on the Frio! Full hookups, well stocked store, friendly people. Phil was the best security guy ever!!!!! We we're in site 91, shaded by a Juniper tree. Picnic table & fire ring at every site. Family oriented & pet friendly. NO MOSQUITOS!!! Clear view of star filled skies at night. Stayed for a week,(can book a year in advance). Located across river from Garner State Park. Hiking trails we're at Garner. Small park, so u won't even need your bike to get around. No Verizon cell service any where near this town. (Was told AT&T works there). Park offers wifi for $2/day. 3 separate entrances to river from park. River has a few rope swings. Clear water, bottom is all rocks so bring your water shoes. Can cross over to Garner for paddle boats, paddle board, etc. Low humidity for Texas so temps we're pleasant. You can pay for a shuttle service to float the Frio, ends in river right in front of park! They rent & sell tubes or you can bring your own. read more

Been going to this place for years and it's amazing! The showers and bathrooms are super clean and huge. (And have plenty of power outlets if you want to look nice for the dances that go on in garner every night). It's also just a short walk across the river to garner which has kayak and paddle boat rentals, sand volley ball pits, hiking trails and more. There's also four rope swings and a small beach across the river in garner. This rv park is hands down the best one you'll find along the river. read more

We normally stay at Garner SP with our RV, but they were booked so we opted for Riverside RV Park which was far better because of the full hookups. However, the campsites are very close together and not much privacy compared to Garner SP which is why I'm not giving it 5 stars. Most of the sites have a lot of trees. Bath house and laundry mat on site. Fully stocked store and very reasonable prices. There is a game room with a handful of arcade games, air hockey and pool table. Location is excellent. Walk down to the river's edge within the RV park for great swimming and ropes to swing out into the water on (located across from the main swimming hole at Garner SP). Also, when you leave the driveway of the RV park and go to the right, by the concrete bridge, there is another good swimming hole/rapids that is within walking distance from the RV park (about 0.3 mile). There is a country road that the RV park is located on for long walks and the Garner SP entrance is only a few miles away. We went at 8am every morning and obtained day passes to Garner SP for hiking, dances at night and scheduled park activities for the kids (If you plan on going to the SP at all I highly recommend doing the same as they now limit how many cars are allowed into the park and during busy seasons they usually cut off day passes around 10am). Riverside is great family atmosphere, no rowdy crowds when we were there, and kids can ride bikes through the RV park. Lots of winter Texans staying there. Will probably never stay at Garner SP anymore because of the convenience of the full hookups here and easy access to everything. read more

We had an accident with our RV where we were unable to drive it. We called Parkview to ask if anyone there could help us to repair it. Charlie came out early the next morning, and he helped us get our awning rolled back onto the side of the RV. While we weren't even staying at his park, he decided to waive the repair fee entirely just to help us out. I insisted to pay, but he refused outright. I was amazed at the kindness he showed me and my family, for no reason at all than to just be kind. These are the kind of people you will want to do business with. read more
