Great beers and close to great hiking! We were there on a weekend when there was live music so it was pretty crowded but we still found a place to sit outside. I would definitely recommend checking it out!

This was a return visit for my husband and the first time for me. My husband really likes the mango IPA. The bartender was quick and friendly. There is a large area for seating. We stopped by early on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. The work area is very clean. It's a great place to have a beer if you are in Salem.

Parkway is a great brewery in Salem, va. It's very close to the interstate, hotels, and downtown Salem. The get bent ipa are my personal favorites, but all beer is good! Nice service and a great space

Home of the get bent IPA! We were in salem for a menu tasting and got recommended as a must try brewery by our caterer. Needless to say, we enjoyed our time as it had a good atmosphere and is extremely welcoming. They're kid and dog friendly as well! They have an outdoor area that's beautiful and a food truck right outside. Their selection of beers was hard to choose from but I was happy with my Flat top lager! Service was great as she let us try a few beers before ordering and they were extremely nice. Definitely coming back soon!

Love stopping at Parkway Brewery while in the area! Great ambiance and the staff is great. Huge selection of beers and the manager gave us a fantastic rundown of the brewing process. Loved all the merch and snack selection. They were also collecting donations for hurricane victims. Can't wait to come back!

We went to our favorite restaurant in Salem Virginia and I got the Raven's Roost from Parkway brewing Company. I asked the waitress where I could buy some to take home with me and she told me it wasn't far from here. When we found Parkway there was no place to park this place was packed. This must be the place to be on a Friday night. There was a band playing people sitting around on picnic tables and there was lots of kids, so it kid friendly. I just ran in and purchased a six pack of RAVENS ROOST it is a Baltic Porter. Maybe next time we can stay longer.

Man, if I lived on the residential street that leads up to Parkway Brewing in the charming town of Salem, VA, I'd be in trouble. I'd be there every other day! Parkway Brewing has made quality crafts for years - you can find some of their beers, mostly their high ABV IPA "Get Bent," at many stores in Northern VA. That beer would lead one to believe they are an IPA-heavy place. They're not - they have 2 other IPAs that are lower ABV, including one hazy that I had, and several other varieties such as lager, kolsch, amber ale, and porter. There is ample seating inside and out, and lots of parking. This is probably the only craft brewery with this sort of indoor/outdoor set up (similar to many in Northern VA) in the Roanoke/Salem area, so it does get crowded. Smoking is still a big thing in this part of Virginia, so the smokers have a designated outdoor smoking area. I love the little creek going through the property and the foot bridge you cross. Food truck onsite the day I visited offered BBQ items. I suspect this is a big live band venue too. The band that was playing the night I visited, The Troublesome Blues Band, was awesome, making their way through both covers and what I believe were original songs. A great spot, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

This place is great for the summer. The beers were easy to pick from and tasty. However I caution you this is a place brewing in the land of the IPAs. 6 ipas on this day, and I am not a fan of the ipas, but the place is inviting and comfortable. Enjoy the leisure and the drinks!

I have been wanting to get to this place for a while and finally had a weekend where I could go over and check it out. This is a nice brewery. It is in an industrial style building on the outside, but they have done a nice job inside with painting and a huge fireplace. They also have garage doors to go up for outdoor seating, but it was closed the day we went... 55F and rain. There is also a large open area where live music can be played. A musician was setting up on the day we were there. There is plenty of parking and a nice selection of beer. It was heavy on the IPAs when we were there. The guy working the bar was a nice guy and let us sample a few beers and gave some recommendations. I ended up liking the red Reformator the best. It is a red style beer.. unfortunately they don't bottle it. They only have it on draft. I will definitely be back when in the Salem area.

Brewery Stop #3 in Virginia Favorite brewery of the day. When my friends and I visited on a Saturday afternoon Parkway had a food truck, band, games and tons of seating available both inside and outside. I was able to try a flight and my favorites were the Raven's Roost Baltic Porter and Majestic Mullet Kolsch. Good beer and space! I do recommend that you check this brewery out.

After hiking up McAfee Knob, it seemed an appropriate reward to stop for a beer and a burger. And this place was just too close to pass up. Just down the mountain from the trail, it was a natural stopping point before heading back to my hotel. Situated in a warehouse, it's a great location to hangout, enjoy a beer, and let the kids run free. And they have some live music from local talent to complement the beer. Great relaxing place with a good selection of beer. Check it out after hitting the trail, relaxing by the river, or just driving down I81 looking for something different to do.

It was a beautiful fall evening and there were a good number of people enjoying both the outdoor and indoor spaces. We made our way inside and were impressed they also had a live band playing on the stage. We looked around a bit, enjoying the industrial feel of the building and the music. We took a place in line and ultimately I chose a pint of the Bareback Bronco IPA. We love good swag so we made our way to look at the offerings. My wife quickly commented on their cute and clever designs which are printed on soft, comfortable cotton shirts, hoodies, etc. They also had a good selection of assorted discount t shirts available in small, xxl and xxxl sizes. The band engaged the audience with the Chris Stapleton favorite, Tennessee Whiskey which was fun. We ultimately decided to enjoy one of the high top tables outside while I drank my beer, which I enjoyed and ended up purchasing an additional 4-pack for our long weekend in Roanoke. Great stop, if you enjoy local breweries, make sure to stop in. We noticed they are also open Sundays. We did see some people with food that appeared to either have been delivered or they brought with them.

If there's one thing this place can't mess up it's some chicken tenders. They are a staple here. I think they are ridiculously priced, but they are also ridiculously good. The honey mustard is a must with them. I have not been really impressed by the other menu items I've tried, I've gotten a calzone in the past and the fish and chips and they were both average. Service is always 50/50, either someone who is super attentive or someone who will ignore you and never refill your glass for the majority of the time you're there. By doing so I was able to confirm firsthand my suspicion of my amazing finding and wanted to share with the readers of my review so that they too are able to enjoy this golden needle in the haystack never explored, yet in their back yard. But before I begin, I would like to thank and give tribute to the business partners who came up with idea of this place and never allowed their life circumstances get in the way of making their dream come true for all of us, the community, to be able to share and enjoy. Twisted Track Brewpub is more than just a full-service brewery and kitchen, serving upscale food and beverages in a cool and relaxed environment. It is the perfect meeting place and entertainment venue for families and friends to meet and share quality time with each other in a safe and amusing place. First of all I was very impressed by the beautiful, open space architectural design of the building's interior as well as its exterior front seating area patio. They are welcoming and make you feel at home. When you arrive and walk inside you are immediately captivated by the place with tables and chairs all over, and a ramp and stairs that lead to a counter high above where orders are taken and paid for after you've had an opportunity to examine the menus which have been placed on every table. There "just the right size" and quality food selection menu made me want to enjoy all items listed. Especially accompanying them with a side of their very unique and amazing fat curly fries, which they call "Twisted Fries." At the counter, and extremely welcoming and friendly young lady greeted me with a smile and explained the variety of drinking items available, including very creative non-alcoholic drinks, such as the Collective Art Guava Go, which I ended up having. After ordered this and a Pulled Pork Sandwich with an order of Twisted Fries, I paid and was given my drink and a beeper to notify me when my order was ready and to go pick it up at the order pickup counter. After I sat down at a table of my choosing facing a small stage on the left side of the building, the beeper beeped and I went to pick up my order. Again the staff their were very friendly and nice. They even allowed me to photograph other menu items that were waiting on the counter for my readers to be able to view and admire. Then as I enjoyed the food that was amazingly delicious, including those amazing Twisted Fries, I looked around and the clientele seemed to be just normal and clean folks enjoying a good time. There was a group of what looked like business associates at one of the large tables. A family at another table, where the father was playing UNO with his son, using gigantic size cards. A couple at another table and so on. Many seemed like repeat customers. Since it was a Friday evening. Friday, January 17th to be more precise. It was Live Music Night and William Seymour, a musician and recording artist from Noth Carolina was scheduled to perform. He practiced on the stage for a while. Them came down and handed out his very creative square business cards with a QR code to be able to pay for TIPS and merchandise with venmo. He then went up the stage and sang and played his guitar. To conclude all I can say is: What an extraordinary dining and entertaining experience this has been. I highly recommend this place for an enjoyable evening with family and friends, and am honored to be the one who has been able to make you aware of this gem of a place.
