Called today with some significant pain and they were able to squeeze me in at the end of the day. Ended up needing a surprise root canal. The doctor and his assistant stayed late to make sure I got it and felt better. It was Friday afternoon. I came in on New Year's Eve for my first ever crown, two, actually, on adjoining teeth. Dr. D. and their wonderful former Slovakian woman whose name I can't remember performed the two hour procedure. Matt greeted me promptly at 7:00 a.m. and prepped me, always his usual, courteous yet friendly self. His administration of novocaine was painless and he explained and double checked the procedure. Dr. D. then did the same, explaining each step as we went along while both he and his assistant kept me well rinsed and as comfortable as possible throughout. Visual scans confirmed everything that had been done and any questions I had were answered quickly and expertly. I have had some traumatic dental experiences in the past elsewhere, so was slightly hesitant going in. My family of 4 has been seeing the team at Parkway Dental for over a decade, though, so I know firsthand that they are beyond competent. They actually CARE about their patients. At no time did I feel unsafe or uncared for. I was even given a lovely fleece blanket that proved to be a great calming agent. Truly, though, it is their professionalism and compassionate care that shepherded me through. I go back in about a week for my permanent crowns and am actually looking forward to it! read more

if I could leave a negative review I would! they RUINED my mouth. I had a crown replaced - the first attempt didn't fit and was trapping food which could only removed using a water pic. I asked to have it fixed and her proposed solution was to cap the adjacent tooth (which only had a cavity), I refused and complained to the office staff and they required her to replace it. the 2nd one doesn't fit much better but I didn't realize it until I went home and start eating! I couldn't go thru the trauma of a 3rd crown on the same tooth! Then she recommended micro planing! HUGE mistake. I now have gaps between the gum and one of my teeth that again can only be removed with a water pic. she had told me I would need ALL of my front teeth capped even though they only had minor fillings by a previous dentist! I again refused. Most of my teeth are now failing in the front of the teeth, while those fillings are on the back! again I think caused by the micro planing! don't do it! read more

I have great experience with this clinic no mater when I go, from dental hygiene to cavity, crowning, Invisalign. The staffs are always helpful and warm hearted. After putting off this appointment for years, yesterday, I finally had my wisdom teeth pulled! I already appreciated this clinic because they let me move my appointment probably 4 times before finally being able to make it work, and when I got there it was smooth and painless. I was beyond nervous when I arrived, almost in tears, and they were so patient & accommodating. The numbing took a while but the whole pulling process took less than 10 mins! I left with hardly any swelling and today, hardly even sore. Everyone makes getting your wisdom teeth out seem like such a grueling, awful process, but this was literally painless and truly so easy. I had to have a tooth extracted today. From the time I walked in and during the procedure and wrapping up the procedure, I felt cared for. Dr Constantin is his normal professional, exceptional self. Julie was his assistant and she was amazing as well. I can think of about 10000 other things I'd rather do then get a tooth extracted, but they made it relatively painless and easy to handle. I went in for wisdom tooth removal and developed swelling after. I knew something was wrong because I started to develop a fever and pain. Called the office and was told that it was normal. Me working in an ER, I knew this was not fine. I went into the ER and they did a CT scan which showed I have an abscess. They admitted me and gave me IV antibiotics as well as sending me to oral surgery. They removed my sutures and completed a debridement. I would never recommend this dentist. read more

I wish Yelp allowed for negative stars. This is one of those dental offices that 'sells' versus 'services' -- and it's a *hard* sell. My hubby and I went in as new patients and both spent (wasted) over an hour of our time, only to walk away without a teeth cleaning and ridiculous treatment plans. Now, y'all don't know me, so I'll elaborate a bit... We just moved here, but I used to work front office for a dentist, so I'm no slouch when it comes to my teeth and knowing the lingo/how/what/why of things. For the first time ever, I was told I needed a 'deep cleaning' (scale & root planning-srp-in lingo-land). This is what someone needs when they have gum disease, bone loss, excessive inflammation/bleeding, etc. None of this do I have. I was a couple of months over due for my regular 6 month cleaning is all (and that was only due to moving here). And okay, I'd not kept on my regular flossing either. Nor had I been using a sonic toothbrush. But a deep cleaning?? Come on! If I'd allowed them to do the deep cleaning, then I would've been pushed into a 'periodontal patient' category--which would mean they could charge me for 4 cleanings a year! So you see where I'm going with this... It was all about the 'sell' and nothing about my gums or dental health. When I politely told first the hygienist, then the doctor, that I wanted a regular cleaning for now and we could circle back to discussing a deep cleaning at my next 6 month visit (after I'd had a chance to be back to my sonic/flossing routine)...they refused. They kept pointing to 2 possible spots of plaque on my teeth--that's it. No mention of my gum pockets all being fine, or how they could use a cavitron (ultrasonic scaler) for my regular cleaning, or how they could do a less-invasive procedure that is also covered by insurance and involves only srp for 1-3 teeth per quadrant. Nope...just the hard sell. I left without scheduling anything, found a new (FABULOUS!!!) dentist, and am happy to say my teeth and gums are healthy--no need for any deep cleaning or other nonsense. The new doc did the exam and cleaning himself (using that awesome cavitron I mentioned) and explained that my bones are better than most peeps my age. No gum disease in sight. Hubby had a similar experience--hard sell with no real explanation of procedures. New doc took his time explaining all the options and potential downsides to following the other doc's recommended treatment plan. If hubby had gone through with that plan, he would've been in for a world of hurt based on the location of the tooth and nearness to his sinuses, plus the procedure had limited chance at success due to bone structure. If you go here...and obviously, I'm not recommending it at all...do yourself a favor and seek a second opinion before you schedule anything besides a regular cleaning. You'll thank me later. read more

I had a terrifying experience at Dr. Constantin's office and after my visit. It all started with his assistant applying numbing agent in a way that in leaked into my throat - she then gave me several shots to numb the tooth but ended up numbing half of my face for 8 hours. I could not smile, talk, or move my face till next day - was worried about permanent nerve damage. During the appointment, the dentist seemed to be running between several different patients, at times forgetting to remove equipment from my mouth and making me quite uncomfortable. The fillings he put in seem fine, so he may be a good dentist, but he should not let his assistant apply anesthesia and should focus on one patient at a time. read more

Best dentist I have ever had. I bring my daughter here as well because I trust this dentist. I had had lots of repair to cracked teeth and crowns and he has been so careful with everything. Dr. Constantin is an excellent dentist. He took the time to explain every procedure he was doing. For example, when I got a root canal, Dr. Constantin was very supportive, and he was explaining the process, same when he did a crown for one of my teeth. With every filling, he is very careful that I don't feel any pain and takes time to complete the process carefully. He also took care of all my family, throughout the years, when my boys where only 5 and 6 years old. He is a professional and you can tell he has a passion for his job.
