I scheduled a cleaning after a few years of neglecting to go to the dentist. I had no concerns other than just wanting to get a cleaning and to get back in the habit of regular dental visits. I let them know I was pregnant when I made the appointment. Knowing how long it had been since I had been in, and that they would not be willing to give me x rays due to pregnancy, and that they would not do a cleaning without x rays, they none the less still scheduled me for the cleaning and then pulled a bait-and-switch after I arrived. The dental hygienist told me they could do a "light exam" which she proceeded to make sound like would include some degree of cleaning. And then we could do x rays and the remaining cleaning procedures in a follow up visit after baby came. In reality, the light exam consisted of the dentist sticking her finger in my mouth for a few seconds--she didn't touch or look at any of the tools and i'm not convinced she even examined my teeth--and then lectured me for 15 minutes with generic advice with no comments on my actual dental health. I presume she did just enough to charge my insurance as if they had actually provided me a service, without committing fraud. In hind sight it is clear there was no chance they would be doing any cleaning, despite what they presented to me. I would recommend finding someone else as I consider this dishonest and unscrupulous. I will be finding a new dentist. read more

I had a extremely great experience the hygienist was very professional she took her time and clean my teeth

Unfortunately after going to parkway dental for a few years and having a pleasant experience with everyone I finally met the high and mighty Dr Patel who surprisingly is the practice owner. the woman, if we can call it that, is highly sensitive and aggressive like a man. Dr Patel made a condescending remark about me to an employee while I was in the room knowing I would hear it. when I told her it was inappropriate and uncalled for she told me I can leave and find another practice. I told her she was very unprofessional as I was leaving and she yelled that it was the first time in 20 years. yelling after a patient? Completely ratchet. the behavior for an owner/dentist/doctor was embarrassing. I could probably go back if I wanted to since I didn't do anything wrong. however it's such a huge turn off and it's really a shame that one person ruined it for the practice. who wants a nasty aggressive person working on their mouth. What's worse the staff member she made the rude comments to about me was in training. I feel sorry for the staff who wouldn't be able to stand up to the truth as she is their boss. I feel it is my duty to report this incident and make others aware. Maybe Dr Patel will work on being less sensitive and more professional. Good luck! read more

My wife's experience: Went here for cleanings and was told I needed 4 fillings. I have only had 1-2 fillings in my life before and take great care of my teeth (floss every night, etc.). But, they're the experts, so I let them do the fillings. Upon later review of my x-rays I learned not all 4 of the fillings may have been necessary. Then, they had to redo 3 of the fillings because they were improperly put in. I got so tired of returning to them that I switched dentists and then was amazed how much better the new filling looked and how much less it cost. Since my insurance hasn't changed, either they have a worse contract with my providers or they were overcharging me. Two stars because the staff is very nice and accommodating and they redid the fillings until I stopped complaining about it at no extra charge. read more

Dr. PATEL started a clear correct case with me and abandoned my case because she was always unavailable, short a dentist and not responding to my calls about issues and concerns with my teeth. She refused to see me or respond to emails, and phone calls. Now I am stuck with no provider to accept my case because my teeth are not aligning correctly. She neglected my care. I never experienced a Healthcare provider more unprofessional and un caring then her. I am currently filing to take her to court if you want to avoid these problems I do not recommend this dentist. read more

On behalf of a family member I feel this place is unprofessional and have the secretary doing performing some of their tasks that you pay top dollar for. Poor follow up. They are very nice and friendly and the beginning of your service but then gradually fade out once they get your money and start to neglect your care. Not responsive to getting back to you when you have an issue with your teeth. Trying to get them to stick to appointments is challenging. My dentist, Dr Patel Keeps switching availability last minute. Do not recommend this practice. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere! read more

Office is very clean and updated. The front desk girl and dental assistant were so friendly and professional. I went in to fix a chipped tooth, Dr. Patel who is actually the practice owner did a beautiful job. Dr. Patel told me she bought the practice from the previous doctor 2 yrs ago. She was so nice, explained every step and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. read more

The hygenists are good as is the dentist - however the practice has very poor business sense. I woke up this morning with a temp of 101 accompanied by sneezing and coughing. I had an appt for tomorrow at 10 - I called at 7AM to advise of my illness and cancel the appt. I got a call back advising that they would be charging me $50 for a canceled appointment - this is in spite of the fact that I have been a patient for over 5 years, have never previously canceled, and that I am actually ill. I am going to fight the charge - however the practice is losing both me and my husband as patients. read more

Jennie was my hygienist today. Best cleaning ever. She is also bilibgual which helped a lot (spanish). Will see her again! very pleasant and explained in details the issue i had with my gums. Highly recommended! read more

The hygienist is the best part of the whole place. The office is nice. Although I've been a patient for years. I went in today to get a filling repaired that had come out. It was previous filled before in the same tooth. Dr. Chen charged me $108 to tell me that my filling fell out. Um really that's why I'm here. She took a x-ray an told me to come back for a crown. Thank you for charging me to tell me what I told you five me ago. This made no sense to me?? read more

When Dr. Gomes moved and left the practice I was concerned the quality of care would depreciate. I'm happy to report that is not the case! Dr. Chen is delightful; thorough, knowledgeable and provides excellent care. As always, the front desk staff and hygienists are pleasant and accommodating! read more

They were very good prior to new management. I had an appt. 7/19/17 called the office to change my appt. The answering service someone will call me back ASAP. However, I found out later that the office was closed on 7/17 and the answering svc. had no CLUE. How can run a business when there is no meeting of the minds. Don't you think the answering should know when the office is closed. Very BAD BUSINESS!!!! read more

5 stars for Parkway Dental!! I've been to a lot of dental offices but this one has gone beyond expectation. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the attention to detail by both the clinical staff and the front desk. You are always greeted with a warm smile as soon as you walk in the door; you're made to feel more like a friend than a patient. I love the flow of the office and how the staff does their best to make my appointment as efficient and informative as possible. The attention to detail during appointments is something I have not seen with other dental offices. They really help you to understand your dental health and give you all the tools to improve yourself. I also like the transparency of their treatment plans- I always know what is needed and how much my insurance covers before walking out the door. I now look forward to going to the dentist!
