Not open to the general public but various clubs use this pool for training sessions both kids and masters and a swim school. If you live in the area this is a great place for your kids to learn to swim properly - all four strokes, tumble turns, diving - if they have been inspired to swim by the Olympic swimming competitions then this is a great option. New build pool - 25m length - perfect for training. The entrance to the pool is round the back - use The Bridge School entrance

One of the most oversubscribed schools in central London just about says it all…read more It's not going to be a walk in the park to get your daughter into this Secondary school - but it'll certainly be worth it if you can. This superb school has achieved specialist status in a whole host of areas (check out their website) and continues to forge relationships that help it's students. The curriculum is broad and the staff really do go out of their way to help students and families. Staff are also handpicked so tend to be the cream of the crop. Worth working very hard at your speciality to get into this sought after school. School has a 6th form - when some boys are allowed in as well.

It's better than any public sports centres I have been to in London: clean changing/shower rooms with lockers, dance studio with full length mirror (actually, not sure if I actually like seeing my face turning red in real time), lovely exercise mats - and a music system that actually works! It's a bit difficult to find on the first visit as it's a concrete block hidden between the main building and the Westway flyover. Now that I know the way, I'll definitely return, perhaps not just for Rikki's class.

I used to have to schelp to Kensal but this is now much more convenient for me as it's a stroll from Royal Oak station. When going there for the first time take note that the entrance is actually on the side past the garage, not the main road. The sports hall is enormous and the parkour class shares the space with a basketball class but there's no clash and the two can occur concurrently with few problems. The floor is great (new), slightly squishy and with lots of markings for various sports, and the equipment is all super new which means it's very satifying to play with. The class itself is really good. An excellent workout in the warm up and warm down and a good level of challenging but achievable exercises working on various skills like congs, tic-tacs and sideways monkeys. i.e. jumping on, around or over stuff. It's really hard work but good fun and the instructors are very good. The only down side to the centre is that it's so new they have yet to put in vending machines so you can't get any drinks or snacks.

DON'T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!…read more Boys grabbed me and slapped my behind continuously even after I gave them a dirty look. Reported it, had to keep asking about the progress of it only to be told after about a week that they "can't do anything without video evidence". And this isn't the only time they ignored my/anyone else's allegations. I called the school out on twitter later on after I left, and they blocked me because I was telling the truth. They lie and promise students and their parents a safe educational environment but yet for the longest time I was made to feel like what happened to me and my friends didn't even matter. I would complain about them doing nothing about the issue then I would get shouted at and told "complaining about it isn't going to make anything happen". They were so quick to punish students with dyed hair or an untucked shirt with detention, isolation, exclusion; essentially missing out on what they love to say is 'important education', 'your future', over things that ACTUALLY don't matter. But when their students feel unsafe because of their own classmates, they're told the school can't do anything because apparently we should've recorded it. And it wasn't just students this would happen to! Several TEACHERS have reported sexual harassment, homophobia, sexism etc. but we all know where those reports they would make you fill in went. In the bin.

The headteacher of the boys school does nothing but sit in his office, and is rarely seen to be doing anything. Staff have often turned a blind eye to abuse and violence. The school is also in a horrid state, it is falling apart, with many children having classrooms made out of portacabins, which are far from ideal.
