I was trying to calculate what it would cost me if different hardware had to be replaced and braced for the worst. But to my surprise when I returned Ross said that there were no problems that he could find. Having never had this type of problem before, it turned out that the problem was with my monitor screen. For years I had been turning it off at night but never unplugged it (which had to happen to let the capacitors discharge completely to fix this problem). Also very bad timing with when I brought it in, they were swamped so I will give them that. If you want communication, it has to be done in person... just saying. Quite literally show up and talk to the guys, they are VERY nice, got nothing against them, just communication is poor over the phone, or at least between workers (person who picks up phone and person who works on PC)

Friday 13th was the fateful day when my laptop would not restart normally. It had crashed before…read moredozens of times in the past year but never like this. No matter which type of safe mode I selected, Windows wouldn't start up properly. The timing of the computer crash couldn't have been better, I was just about to save files onto a flash drive before a job interview when it went kah-put. What a day! With cautious optimism, I went for a second opinion. Jeff explained to me that the software they had for computer diagnostics performed wonders. Given the demand, I was told it would be a day or two before the computer doctor could diagnose and treat my laptop. I entrusted my laptop to them. And my boyfriend reassured me that my laptop was in safe hands. I waited anxiously. Oh how I dreaded the thought of all the files I had not saved and all the files I would have to recreate. A few days later, I received the prognostic for my computer. I thanked my lucky stars as soon as I heard that I would be able to regain my data. Two days after the diagnostic testing, my computer was released from the computer hospital as good as new. I am so happy to have my laptop back. I also learned that all those times I had rested my laptop on pillows, blankets, and other soft surfaces, I was allowing fibers to enter my computer and blocking air from entering my computer.
