We ended up going to visit twice this trip, at night. Last year, I went early in the morning. I suggest going either early in the morning or around sunset. During the day, it gets pretty crowded and very hot. This park was originally intended to become a luxury garden city with 60 houses, however, only two houses ended up being completed. Parc Güell is still my favorite works designed by Antoni Gaudi. I recommend buying tickets ahead of time but the tickets are more readily available to purchase than Sagrada Família. I was able to buy tickets for our second visit the night before, without issues. Transportation: I booked a ride via Cabify rideshare and it drops off right by the entrance of Carretera de la Carmel (east side). I highly recommend leaving the park from this side too; easiest to call a cab, as other exits you have to walk down a bit due to car restricted access.

The fountain is amazing just gorgeous huge fountain lots of birds there. Great place for pictures right beside the fountain or up the stairs to the fountain. Lots of musicians and street performers around the park. I really am a bird fanatic so I was thrilled to see so many wild parakeets in the park. There are people feeding the parakeets bird seeds and you put some in your hand and they'll land in your hand and eat there. I loved it. There are some homeless people and one of them kind of threw a insane fit while we were there but no one was hurt he kicked over a barrier and was yelling at people. But that can happen anywhere just use caution anywhere you go. There is neat statues and there's also a little lake or pond where they had people renting rowboats we didn't do that but that looked like fun.

Today it contains museums, the Olympic Ring from the 1992 Olympic Games, a castle, gardens, a fountain, cable car, and more. A tour guide drove my husband and me to this park. We enjoyed the panoramic views of the city buildings and the sea. Our tour guide explained that a Jewish cemetery was built into the hill. Overall, I would not call Parc de Montjuic a must-see, but it was nice to see.

When we arrived via taxi around 3:30 PM from our IHG Hotel Indigo we had some time to locate our location to meet our tour guide. We finally figured out our English tour guide meeting location where we met others on our tour. When we walked over to La Sagrada Familia Basilica our English tour guide distributed audio headsets. This UNESCO marvel offers more than just breathtaking views. It is Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece, a basilica full of symbolism and architectural brilliance. The La Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona has been under construction for over 140 years. Our English tour guide shared its fascinating history, from its beginnings to the ambitious goal of completing it in 2033. The La Sagrada Familia Basilica will be the highest building in Barcelona and the highest church in the world with a height of 172 meters. La Sagrada Familia Basilica is very impressive from its size, both outside and especially from the inside with the many colored glass windows with the sun shining through during our 4-5 PM audio tour. I feel this was a great time of day to experience La Sagrada Familia. This should be your #1 place to visit in Barcelona. This house was originally intended to be a luxury apartment building, with the owner & his family residing in the lower level, the "Noble Floor", and tenants living in the upper levels. We got tickets from GetYourGuide & decided to do the Gold Tier the night live music experience on the rooftop terrace. This came with an audio guide, augmented reality tablet, Dome experience, concierge room access, front row seats for the concert, & glass of cava wine. The whole experience was lovely! Entrance time was 8pm & we arrived 20 min before, which a line had already formed. I loved the augmented reality tablet; it shows you what the rooms looked like with furniture, when the family lived there 120 years ago. We did this experience on the first day of arriving in Barcelona & was a great way to start the trip! We honestly were expecting a group of performers but it actually ended up being one singer, who was amazing! I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to visit Casa Batlló. We were also able to get a photo on the top floor, looking out of the window which was super cute. The experience was ~2-2.5 hrs overall.

We showed up for our time slot, waited about 20 min early, staff came out and handed us tokens and wristbands. Token is for a drink included (champagne). Gaudi had a wild mind. The architecture was definitely... different haha not my taste but i appreciate the vision he created. I'd probably go crazy if I lived in such a house but the place is huge, so many rooms and floors with so many hiding spots, boy hide-n-seek would slap. I do love me some history, so seeing all this and listening to the headset on the self guide was enlightening. We grabbed tickets that included a show on the rooftop and it was nice. We ordered some drinks and snacks and enjoyed our live performance. Super cute for date night!

There's a big highway along much of the route. Below ground level, but not covered as in town. You're heading towards the end of the L3 line. The park is worth the trip.
