Extremely rude. I asked for a quote for a specific design for a pool, so I could decide which contractor to go with. He told me he doesn't "play those games" and if I want to get serious about building a pool I can hire him. There are plenty of pool contractors in Little Rock to work with. Stay away from this guy at all costs. If this is how he behaves when you ask for a quote, I can't imagine how he behaves if there is a problem and you've already paid him. read more

Parrot Bay designed and installed our gunnite pool. I cannot be happier with design and customer service Parrot Bay offers. I live in Maumelle and this was the only pool company out of the four I interviewed that would remove the misplaced dirt out of my yard as opposed to packing it around the pool causing future drainage issues. They made sure I was comfortable operating it and helped me so much the first year or two as I put my yard back together. We initially met with Larry Rogers on 6/21/22 to discuss building a pool and submitted a down payment of $6,600 on 10/16/22. Larry estimated a start date of February or March 2023 with anticipated completion during summer 2023. I attempted to contact him numerous times during our wait to inquire about the start date and each time had to call, text and/or email multiple times to get a response. On 1/24/23, he stated that our estimated start date was March or April. We continued to wait until the end of June with no communication. On 6/20/23 we contacted the business to inquire about cancelling our contract as no progress had been made toward a start date after a year of involvement with this company. It took until 7/14/23 to get a response from Larry in which he refused to refund our down payment and made erroneous claims that I had not been in contact with him. In addition, during our initial design meeting Larry discussed his membership in the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals. It was the main deciding factor in us choosing him as our pool builder. On 7/24/23 I called the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals and was told that their membership expired in 2016. This false information is not only being verbally used to gain customers but was also prominently displayed on his website. Overall we felt very misled by this company not only as to their credentials but also in regard to the expected timeline of our project. We feel that they did not uphold their end of a professional agreement in starting our project within an acceptable timeframe or at the very minimum, communicating with us as to the reasoning behind the delays. We attempted mediation through the Attorney General's office and Better Business Bureau. In his response to the Attorney General's office he went so far as to threaten legal action against us for his lost revenue and also stated that his attorneys would aggressively pursue us for any false social media communications. We ultimately filed a complaint against him through the Contractor's Licensing Board. During that hearing on 3/13/24, in which he was also being investigated for abandonment and poor workmanship on another case, the board required him to refund our down payment. Unfortunately they did not act to revoke his license which was our main intent so that others would not have to endure similar situations. It took nearly 9 months to recover our money and at no time did Larry try to communicate with us or accept any responsibility for the delayed timeline. Instead he made outlandish excuses, blatantly lied in an attempt to salvage his reputation, and tried to intimidate and threaten our family into not seeking justice or sharing our experience with others. One only has to look at other reviews of this company to see very clearly that this is not an isolated incident. read more

I contacted Larry Rogers to build a pool that was estimated to cost about 95K. We gave him a deposit and waited for him to start building. Approximately 10 months later construction had not started and we called Larry to cancel (we are moving out of state). We hoped we would receive at least a portion of our sizable deposit back since no permits had been filed, no dirt moved etc, NOTHING had been done but some hours on design. Larry said his policy was NEVER to return any portion of any deposit. I told him I didn't think that was a nice way to conduct business. He was true to his word tho, he kept all of our deposit. I would give him zero stars but it wasn't an option. read more

Parrot Bay installed our pool/spa in North Little Rock in 2013 and to this date in 2020 is working great, allowing our family and friends hours of enjoyment. Larry is the best designer imaginable; he and his team install a quality product. In particular, Larry's right hand man Chase Arnold is a stickler for detail and has given "service after the sale" every time I've called. On a rare occasion we had a warranty issue and it was handled promptly and without question. Now that I'm out of warranty date, Chase still helps anytime he's called on. I would highly recommend Parrot Bay. The one thing I would have done differently is go with Larry's original design; I made a change myself and now I wish I had not. Larry knows best!! read more

after reading some negative reviews I have to post my experience. Parrott Bay installed an absolutely beautiful pool designed to my yard space in 10 weeks, just in time for summer and hot weather. I am so proud of the beautiful work and that I went with them, and recommend them to anyone who asks. It really exceeded my expectations, and I am looking to build another pool at another home, and will most definitely be going with Parrot Bay. read more

Terrible customer service! We just bought a house and this company installed the pool. It is cracking and lifting. The side of the pool is actually breaking off Into my hands. I called Larry and he told me he wouldn't even come look at the pool without a charge! I was shocked! I can't believe that a company would not even back up their work. Parrot Bay came recommended to us by friends who had used them on a large pool and spa in Conway. This couple are two of the most particular people we know and were pleased with the quality of work done on their pool. When I first called Larry and set up a meeting in my backyard, I told him to bring his imagination and a "shoe horn" because our space is limited. He did just that. We now have a beautiful spa and pool that looks out over our lake and is extremely pleasing to look at and relaxing at the end of a long day. We were fortunate in that we had good weather most of the time so we had few delays. Our pool was started in mid October and we filled it on Christmas Day. I would use Larry and his company again but remember one thing....once you see his 3d animation you will be HOOKED. It was breathtaking!! read more
