The social worker is incompetant, I have been home for 2 weeks today and still have not had a home health care visit. This is unacceptable.

There is another location south of here in Clarksfield, Indiana, but this is the North location. This facility is deemed an acute one which takes patients who have had a stroke or a traumatic brain injury and rehabilitates them until they are maybe at least able to feed themselves and possibly walk. My primary care physician recommended this location for my mother, who had a stroke around Thanksgiving and spent three weeks in the hospital. Before the stroke, she was very active, independent and could care for herself. After the stroke, she needed to have some rehabilitation and therapy before coming home. Other facilities wanted to throw my mom away into long-term care and not really give her a chance or opportunity to attempt to rehab herself. The intake agent for PAM Health was NOT like that and she said the staff at the facilities do not have that attitude either. She took care of everything that facilitated my mom being transported from the hospital to the rehab location. Everyone who was associated with the care of my mother was amazing. They were caring, empathetic, and patient with her needs, but also challenging with her therapy when needed. In addition, they were communicative with me in terms of identifying her needs challenges, diagnosis and prognosis. I really appreciate their candidness and empathetic nature. I would not have been able to endure this whole process without them. If any other traumatic things happen to me or any of my family members, I would definitely try to get them into this facility.

Today their technology was struggling to get imaging shared with the doctor. It was very nice how the front desk attendant communicated with us, coming out to the lobby to give updates. My technician was so kind and empathetic to why I was there. The doctor also came by to visit with me and explain my scans. I didn't have many questions but was given plenty of space to ask them. The space is also clean and welcoming, and I leave each time thankful this is where I come for health updates.

I asked 5 staff to help him, The guy falls asleep with tv on & up loud and its 90 degrees in here; I asked several times to move, nursing staff said several rooms open but Admin staff play games, make excuses and offer to transfer me. I need bed rest for 3 weeks due to total ankle replacement, how do you get rest laying in a pool of sweat with tv blaring? Trying to tough it out but I wish I never came here. Most staff are awesome! But a few admin can really wreck your recovery.

i would never recommend (triple creek retirement community part of trilogy located on pippin road…read morein cincinnati) for long term care! my mom took a fall and bruised her face, possible concussion or brain bleed and broken wrist. they will not release any details of her fall. when, where and how long did they wait before getting her medical attention. i had to call the police to get a copy of the incident report only to find out there is no incident report and they don't have to file an incident report. and because i am not poa i have no rights to any answers of my mom's health. currently i am not even allowed to see my mom before meeting with their executive director kathryn potter who i left a message for but hasn't called me back. this is elder abuse and if the poa abuses their power what does someone do about it? i have no legal rights and they have no morals. no stars!!!

Now, I'm walking on a treadmill and getting around with two canes--something I never thought I'd be able to do. The therapists have been patient, understanding, and encouraging--pushing me to reach goals I didn't think were possible. If you're recovering from surgery and need rehabilitation, I highly recommend taking advantage of their services. The only downside is the parking--valet is free but gets backed up, so plan to arrive about 30 minutes early. In both inpatient and outpatient settings, the team has been supportive, motivating, and focused on helping me set measurable goals. They've made a huge difference in my recovery.

My father--88 and going strong--has a patio home in the retirement community that is part of the Episcopal Church Home. He is totally independent there, but can eat in the very nice dining room when he doesn't want to cook--he hates cooking. This is a beautiful place and if I reach 88 I hope to live in a patio home there.
