This is my favorite place to go and buy plants for my house. The owner is very knowledgeable and offers suggestions to help those like myself who aren't familiar with gardening. Everything I've bought from them has blossomed in my yard, while plants I've bought from home improvement stores has died. I pass this nursery nearly every day. When they had a sign that said "Centipede Sod", I just had to stop, as my lawn had holes that needed filling in. Unfortunately when I got there, it was nearly sold out, but they sold the last few scraps to me at a steal and I was able to use the pieces to fill in the holes. I was informed that more sod was coming in the following week, but I had to have it now, impatient me. I took the time to stroll around and found beautiful gardenias that I can find a place for and Mexican Blue Violets. There is a large variety of unusual plants and bushes that you cannot find in Home Depot. I picked out bush after bush and before I knew it, my car was packed. Oh, what did I do, now I have to plant everything. All the bushes were healthy and took immediately and are thriving even in the intense heat we are having. The sales office is a small trailer, which is adequate for their needs and the staff helps you fill your car. Their prices are reasonable. If you have access to a truck, bring it if you decide to shop here. The staff is friendly and courteous. read more

Was supposed to have two palms delivered today. Called this place and was told by the man who answered the phone that I was on the schedule for tomorrow but they never called me to tell me that. I was very upset about this and said I wanted my money back and the guy said he will give a credit and I said no I want my money back. I told him they do business poorly and he started screaming at me saying there was a fucking medical emergency and he hung up. I called back to tell him I have cancer and he started screaming at me again. No way to treat customers or anyone. Now I have to call tomorrow to speak to their book keeper to get my money back read more

Staff was friendly! Selection was great, diverse. They also had a a lot of bird feeders and other garden supplies.

Great place to shop. Staff was very helpful and they had a great selection of plants.

Was satisfied with everything up until it came time to honor the guarantee on plants we purchased. Went in person three different times over a period of 3 months and they kept giving us excuses. The last time they took our phone number and said they would call when replacements came in. That was six weeks ago. CRICKETS. If you're not going to back your guarantees don't make them. Will take my business else where. You are only as good as your word!!! read more

Visited this place and spoke with Mike who was awesome. We are shopping for plants to landscape front of our home. He suggested we come back the following week with pictures to lay out ideas. Wanted to buy a plant for a friend. Was first helped by a very nice guy. He needed to help someone else so a women took over. Every time we asked a question she it seemed to be a bother. We finally agreed on a plant and wanted it in a nice ceramic pot. We asked if she could pot it for us. She said yes. While she was potting it for us I asked about the soil. Yes we would have to pay for the soil but get what ever was left over. Ok fair enough. She also said it would cost us for her to pot it for us. So I was figuring a couple of extra dollars. No!!!!! When I looked at the bill she charged us $30.00!!!!!!! For labor!!!!! A 5 minute job. She never told us it was going to be so expensive just to pot it. And on top of everything the plant is sticking out of the pot. Poorly done job. Never again will they get my business. When I saw the guy again I said wow $30.00 for labor isn't that a little high he said well that was with the soil I said no I paid $10.00 for the soil. He just walked away with no answer. read more

Very "user-unfriendly" staff. "Bob" was one of the most abrasive staff I've ever experienced at a nursery. No matter what plant or product you talked about "Bob" was always putting your selection down, a true know it all he was always making you feel like you didn't know a thing. We were ready to spend several thousand dollars on a landscaping "make-over" but walked away from this place after only a few minutes of "Bob". They also never followed up on a landscaping plan that was to be discussed later. It's as if they really didn't care if they did business or not. Would not use this company. Charged $13,000 to put a new floor on our outdoor patio, removed the brick wall surrounding our 9x10 patio, removed the wood planks (in front of patio only) replaced with rows of cement blocks and placed pavers on the flooring of patio. Subcontracted to a gentlemen who worked 3 days of jack hammering the patio, dug trenches about 5 inches wide and the length from the door of patio to other end. Filled cement halfway up and stopped. Drilled holes in my carolina room foundation, placed piping into the foundation that extended out about 2 feet onto patio. The owners of Blue Moon Nursery & Garden Center never supervised his work, and told us the man they hired did all the work wrong, damages had to be rectified and the reasoning was the man had dementia. They reduced our proposal by $1500 less for the damages, then retracted it. The ran out of materials and wanted us to pay for extra pavers. In liew of proper paver placement, he took scraps of old pavers to fill in the spaces. This was absurd so he got more pavers and fixed it. He fiished putting pavers on floor then used a compressor to seal, resulting in cracking 24 pavers. I paid him $10,000.00 in good faith up to this point. I fired him when I found he falsified his business license number on the Horry County Permit Roster Sheet and attempted to transfer the title of contractor to us, the home owners, which takes all resposibility from his firm and put it onto the home owner if anything should go wrong. I fired him before he finished putting in steps and a walkway outside the patio. I offered to pay him the remaining money due him (less $1500 savings he promised for damages performed by Mr Grif who he claimed had dementia). It took him over 3 months to do a simple job but the mistakes, lack of his supervision, purchasing cement blocks that were not top of the line which led to wobbling of the blocks which then had to be sawed off to flatten and not purchasing enough material. Additionally, under the circumstances listed I asked for a guarantee. The owners did not respond to our letter to pay and guarantee but put a lien on our property. Bad experience, very pushy, manipulative, back-handed, very expensive and not to be trusted. Do not use this company for any service. read more
