The work is excellent and very tide and the team (Paul, Tony, Jack) were very neat, clean and quiet (helps when working at home). They are very helpful - previously coming back late one evening to ensure that we had water for the weekend. The communications with Tony, Jack and Paul has really been superb. Paul very clearly explained what was required (step by step), the work that undertaken after the job was completed, all of the different changes that were made and why, and a thorough rundown of the new controls. Paul also clearly guided us through the SEAI grant system, sent us the correct form links and included the BER assessment in the work, which is really appreciated when you don't have your own contacts. This is such an improvement on other tradespeople who do their bit and leave you to sort everything else out without any guidance. He quoted over email. He informed me he would have a plumber out to me - I took the morning off work - the plumber never arrived I rang him and informed him plumber had not arrived - he told me he had not put the job in the system so he would need to come out another day - again I had to chase him as plumber did not arrive at the newly scheduled time. Plumber eventually came and he disconnected the gas but did not provide me with a conformance cert. I told him he needed to provide me with a conformance cert - he argued with me but eventually acceded and I paid him. A few weeks later I tried to turn on my living room fire, I could not, I informed Con that his plumber disconnected gas to living room and below is the email thread that ensued: Gavin There was no gas supply to the fire present. I suspect it may have been disconnect at some other time. Con That's not true Con - I had the fire on when I moved into the house Gavin When I initially called you requested that the gas supply to the kitchen be disconnected. I told you that the best was to do this was to disconnect the old GB pipe and run a new supply to the boiler. This you agreed to. You never mentioned that there was a gas fire nor was there a gas supply taken from the garage for a fire. I explained what we were going to do which you were aware of and agreeable to. Con Con, you are the expert not me - you came onsite to do the site survey. So I'm not really sure what your argument here is exactly. Gavin Gavin No survey was carried out. You pointed out the items you wanted done. I gave you a price for same. At no time did you point out that there was a gas supply going to the lounge or that there was a gas fire. I was never in the lounge. I explained that we would remove the old GB pipe going into the kitchen and run a new pipe from the gas meter to the boiler. Con Con, see below - this is what you have quoted me for: Disconnect gas supply to kitchen and run new gas supply from meter to boiler and provide conformance cert. €115.00 My question is simple why have you disconnected the gas supply to my lounge - I have never asked you to do this and I'm failing to see any logic to your argument thus far.
