It was tough news and an even tougher problem to solve. My 23 year old son, an Army Combat Medic, was to begin a 9 month deployment in mid-November. How do I bring the whole family together in my two bedroom, one bath home to see him off while celebrating all the holidays at once in October? The problem was mainly solved in one conversation with Melissa at Parties by Porcelli (though there were a few follow-ups with questions about the tent sides and enough heat and the right chairs, but she always answered the phone and patiently gave the best advice for the circumstances). She and her husband John made the party setup and take-down totally worry-free and effortless. They were both so gracious and kind, openly grateful for my son's service and literally made the party possible. By the way, the care John takes in maintaining the tent and equipment, as well as his genuine concern for safely setting everything up is evident from start to finish. So we had 29 people in a beautiful 20'x20', three sided tent (complete with arched windows), propane heat, globe lighting and really nice tables and chairs to a full sit down Thanksgiving dinner (with a few Halloween decorations and a small Christmas tree thrown in to cover all our bases). I thought the hardest part of the party was going to be accommodating the guests, but Melissa and John made that the easiest part. The biggest challenge it turned out was getting a 25 pound turkey in October! Who'd have thought? I would not hesitate to use them again, I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone. They are hard-working, honest and truly enjoy and make the party planning fun and effortless. I can't say enough or thank them enough for making Specialist Schwarz's send-off one that was filled with family and warm memories ... even though it was outside in a tent, it felt like an extension of home. And by the end of the planning, Melissa and John felt like extended family ... it didn't feel like business, it felt like they truly cared about my son and the outcome of the party. read more

I've used Parties by Porcelli on 2 separate occasions: once for my husband's 40th and again for my son's 8th birthday. They offer many different options to customize the sign in order to capture the interests of the recipient. I think it's a unique and thoughtful surprise while also creating the perfect backdrop for those drive-by birthday shout outs! They are like stealthy ninjas setting up the sign at night so it's all ready no matter how much of an early riser you are. You have the sign the entire day for pictures and it's swiftly removed again the next night. Ask for Melissa, she was great to work with and helped with some ideas. Mellissa the owner was a gem to work with- she took away any worry I had about the tent and set up through emails answering all my questions and assuring me about delivery. Parties by Porcelli are the best. We wanted to celebrate our daughter bday outdoors due to COVID But it was on February, midle of the winter and after weeks of snow. We didn't know if could do this, but Parties by Porcelli made it happen. They delivered the tent and heaters and set up everything a day prior and then picked up Sunday afternoon when we were done.
