My mom has cancer and lost most of her hair from chemo, but was about to go into a major surgery the very next day so we wanted to go and look at options. To begin, I felt like their options were very limited. Most all of their wigs need to be ordered to even see in person it seems, even in common colors. My mom found a wig she thought was ok but it wasn't in the color she wanted. From there, I feel she was pressured to make a decision. To even see the wig in person you need to place an order. She went ahead and placed the order with the daughter/front desk girl and paid for it upfront. They said the option was to pay for 1/2 upfront or in full. Little did we know my mom would be in the hospital for the next month after this due to surgery complications. The mother & daughter that run this wig shop were very hard to get in touch with when I asked if we could get a refund because my mom was still in the hospital, from there it escalated to straight up rudeness and bad business. Nowhere online or in-store does it say these policies. We were forced to pay a 25% restocking fee on a $3000 wig we never even laid eyes on. There are plenty of other wig shops online and around that do not have such terrible policies. Especially a place that claims to be there for cancer patients. I personally feel that the business takes advantage of people and would never go back there.

These women have become more than friends, they are my family. Although these women are the BEST in the business with doing some amazing hair, coming to see them every two weeks isn't just cosmetic for me, it is THERAPEUTIC for me, it's my self care, it's my me time, it's my girl time, it's my everything! I had an emergency with my baby girl and these women went into immediate fix it mode like you would never believe to help me and my family. My first few appointments were fraught with tears as I struggled to come to terms with my drastically thinning hair. Avion and Marva were a godsend. They never once chastised me for trusting fly by night "stylist" and they were the utmost in professionalism. Over time and with their care, my hair began to heal and regrow. In the meantime, Avion gave me the most amazing and realistic weave ...all the while taking extreme care of my hair. Now, my hair is uber healthy and wildly growing ...and I am never going to another salon (unless it's Niki or Nadling ~ my girls in Chicago). Not taking chances ever.

Yesterday after I had wrote the review on yelp I received a call from someone at "The Wig Shop" saying they contacted the company & have decided to give me my full refund, Today I went back to The Wig Shop but honestly I remembered 4 bus stops away that I had taken the Ball of Mess out of my bag & had left it in the storage. I decided since I had taken 2 buses & A light rail to get there I would still go to see them, my travel time was 2 hours on Tuesday to go there so Today was also wasted time on my part for forgetting to bring the Messed up Ball of hair. After I told the guy in the store I forgot the wig but would bring it back to them on Tuesday due to the distance he said ok, He then gave me back a receipt with the store credit for part of the amount, since I had purchased something else, The amount they gave me was $155.84 with mine & his understanding I could shop and then bring the Ball of Messed up hair back. Well, I was happy because I knew I would return the messed up wig as promised. Guess what The Wig Shop waited for me to shop another 2 hours and then when I was ready to go they changed their mind & said they needed to get the other damaged wig before they would honor the store credit. I was again shocked but very disappointed since I had now wasted another 2 hours trying to find synthetic Wigs to add up to complete my order, Because the wig they sold me as Human Hair Wig had a tag that said Human Hair which I still have & was in a package that I still have, I decided not to purchase any of The Wig Shops Human Hair Wigs, But instead I decided to just buy the synthetic wigs, now I am on my way back 2 hours to get to Storage to get the messed up Ball of Non- Human Hair to return to them before they would honor my refund. I am very sorry for all the Living HELL this place has put me through. Honesty it was my mistake for forgetting to bring the damaged Ball Of Messed up Hair, that I admit to but their telling me it was ok that I could bring it back to them then changing was another slap in my face I will post a picture of the Wig as soon as I get to it for all to see. I will return it either tonight or early tomorrow when they reopen. As for me I Lost trust in them and after this I will never do business with them again. This could have been avoided if they had just said bring it back then you can shop, but they said go shop bring it back later then changed this Wig Shop has cost me so far 4 Hours In travel time & tomorrow another 2 Hours to return there. THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE People please stay away from there they are dishonest & cannot be trusted, I would have felt better. prescriptions at trs is NOT cheaper than traditional pharmacies. if you do not have insurance, and…read morewith prescriptions paper on hand, most pharmacies will try a couple of prescriptions discount codes and offer the best rates. when i requested my prescriptions be printed out, i was then told by a trs pharmacist that they will price match. i declined the offer. ask for prescriptions print out before leaving the clinic as a woman named 'jess' who supposedly is tasked with taking calls at the clinic, will dodge your calls afterwards. i got suspicious that my calls was going straight to voicemail each and every time i called after my visit. when i blocked my number and called, boom jess answered with a disgusting attitude accusing me of calling a million times when i've called a couple as she stares at the caller id to let the calls go unanswered. when she did answered, as soon as i spoke, she would mute the phone and said the line got disconnected (twice) on different days.

I asked for her to show me and instead of showing me she just points to where I need to go and gives the prices of the different lengths. For someone that knows nothing about hair I need more assistance then where the product is in the store. Got too overwhelmed trying to figure it out by myself so I left to find another store with associates that don't mind helping customers when they're literally not doing anything. Customer service was very disappointing.
