Best shit hole in North Bay. The bar reeks of the cigarette…read moresmoke that wafts in from the patio and the shitters smell so strongly of urinal cakes that you'd swear you were eating one while you take a slash. The clientele are mostly grizzled old fuckers drinking the days away and it's probably my favourite place in this town. I can't recommend it enough. I have no idea if they serve food and probably wouldn't eat it if they did. But the beer is cold and the staff are the right mix of competent and friendly. If you're in North Bay and you miss the old shit holes that littered Parkdale or Cabbagetown back in the early 90s then this is worth a visit.

Worst bar I've ever been to in my life. Completely dead about 20 people in the bar, extremely rude…read moreand short tempered bouncers. We got kicked out after going to the bathroom accused of doing drugs (all in professions that do frequent drug testing lol). Our group brought about 10 people doubling the size of the bars current capacity before the bouncer tells 5 of us in the group we need to leave even tho only 2 went to the bathroom for "doing drugs by association" (yeah he really said that). The bartenders were even shocked that we were getting kicked out because we were half of the bars business that night. On top of this as we are heading out our group decides on going to the fox. While waiting outside for our cab ride to the fox the bouncer calls the fox, describing each and every one of us telling them not to let us in. I've worked as a bouncer before and this was the most unprofessional I've ever seen a person handle a situation, very rude, confrontational, and hostile when we tried to be polite and have a respectful conversation with him about it. If was the owner of this establishment I would be embarrassed and ashamed of this behaviour from one of my employees. Our group likely would've spent a couple few hundred dollars on drinks had we been allowed to stay along with potentially bringing in more customers increasing business. This is why the North bay bar scene has died. These bars give these egomaniacs some of authority and they abuse it every chance they get. It's a bad business move I'll never understand. Note: I am not the only person who feels this way about these super dweeb power tripping bouncers. Lots of online reviews even mention blatant discrimination towards different ethnic groups and disabled individuals. it's only a matter of time until this bar goes bankrupt from chasing all the customers out or getting a law suit filled against them. Also should be investigated for letting in underage people. Avoid this place at all costs!
